Happy Veterans Day! Thank you to all who served and who are serving and also to their families and loved ones as they also make a sacrifice. doordie50, were you watching Morning Joe about the conspiracy theories and Qanon? If so I saw that this morning too. People never cease to amaze me with how just plain stupid they can sometimes be. The fact that they're tying in a deep state conspiracy to child pornography, etc. is both alarming and disgusting. It reminded me, however, of that pizza parlor rumor that Mike Flynn's son was promoting on Twitter back in the 2016 campaign. It seems that crazy stuff is getting more and more traction. You look at these people being interviewed sometimes and just wonder who ties their shoes for them in the mornings. Ladies, it's time to stock up on the popcorn and wine. Public hearings start on Wednesday!

Hi....It's a balmy 3 below today...LOL, so if this heading East, you better bundle up.
I haven't read or heard about the Qanon theory. Who's pushing that? And what's that all about?
The fact that it is Veteran's Day & then reading about Donnie Jr. comparing their financial sacrifices (ya sure) with those buried in Arlington made me so darn mad. This family is just morally bankrupt in so many ways.

OK, just went and looked up QAnon & watched the Morning Joe segment. How disgusting & disturbing that people actually buy into this stuff. Scary!

Well, I suppose the book hiders can't come out & burn them, so they hide them. Pretty childish. I also read, tho, on the other side of the coin, that Donnie Jr.'s book is showing up in the children fiction section..LOL...IMHO exactly where it belongs. LOL
There sure have been alot of books coming out from previous appointees & staff members of the Trump Administration. Nikki Haley being the latest. I'm just not sure what to make of her. On one hand I thought I liked her & thought she seemed more sensible than other Republicans, but then she sides with JA here & there & I think, well, she's as politically motivated as the rest of the Republicans & siding with JA for her own political career. To me that's a sellout!

Donnie Jr just makes me want to throw up every time I hear him say or tweet anything. The whole family is just totally disgusting, and wouldn't recognize a sacrifice if it hit them in the nose. They've never done one single thing in their sorry lives that wasn't geared solely towards themselves. I mean after all who sinks so low as to steal from charities?
As for Nikki Haley, she sure turned out to be a big disappointment for me. When we first started to see her on the political scene I thought she might have some real promise, but now I think she's only out for herself just like the rest of them.

Former governor Deval may come in the campaign. I believe he could unite Democrats. He is a great speaker. I hope he comes in. He could unite young and old Democrats. he might beet Biden in South Carolina.

I saw a clip of the new Savanah Guthrie interview with her this morning. Watch out Mike Pence! It sure seems like she's applying for the job.

He could unite young and old Democrats. he might beet Biden in South Carolina. One thing is for sure, we certainly have plenty to choose from in candidates. Gone are the days of one or two party favorites to choose from. I don't know much about Duval, but for both him and Bloomberg it seems a little late to be getting in with Iowa coming up so soon. Bloomberg, if he joins the race, is planning to skip Iowa and New Hampshire and whatever else comes before Super Tuesday. I'm not sure that's a good strategy. Isn't that what Guiliani tried when he ran? It seems I remember that. Of course a big difference is that Bloomberg is unimaginably rich and can put in a ton of money for advertising. I'd rather he put that money behind another candidate, however. We'll see what happens. I'm looking forward to watching the hearings, but I don't really have any expectations of ANY Republicans voting their conscience rather than their political expediency. I wish at least one of them would prove me wrong. I really believe that for the integrity of the country these hearings are needed and the House needs to impeach. I admit, however, to being very concerned that it will come back and bite us in the end. I've lost a LOT of faith in the American voter. As for conviction, I don't even see that as a possible pipe dream. The President of Ukraine says he was not pressured. I don't see that as a defense because what else would he say? If your country was in desperate need of staying on the good side of the US, it's not very likely that you'd say anything to possibly p*ss off the buffoon in the Oval.

Nikki Haley criticized Kelly & Tillerson for the way they handled & spoke about JA. But yet, she uses them to sell her book. She knows that by including this tidbit in the book she wrote, it would help with book sales. I'm really tired of all these books that come out after the fact, when, I think, if they had a problem in any area while they were serving, they should have spoken up then. It's like all these Congress people that are resigning, & now coming out against JA. It really serves no purpose now, that I can see. Just self serving.
I know nothing about Duval. But, I do agree, we have way too many candidates right now. I like most all for the most part, but I think many make better senators than presidential candidates. It certainly doesn't make it any easier for me, right now, to pick a favorite. One day, I like one, & the next, it's another. LOL But,honestly, I still like Mayor Pete. I love the sound of his voice. I like the perspective he brings on different topics. Just not sure he can bring it across the finish line if he doesn't have the older African American votes.
Did anyone see a picture of the room they will hold the hearings in this week. It looks more like a theatre than a congressional hearing room. Not the best optics, especially, when we know how much drama the Republicans are going to try & create.
What's with Hilary & her criticisms of Tulsi Gabbard? Its getting downright nasty & makes them both look bad, IMHO! Not the time to be spatting in public when the Dems need to show the world they are up to the task of picking a great candidate.

Linda, you and I almost always seem to be thinking along the same lines. I agree too many candidates in the mix at this point. I agree that if these people feel something is wrong the time to stand up and be counted is while you're still serving and it can make a difference, not after you leave. I also like Mayor Pete a lot, but there isn't any of them that I could not be satisfied with. Of course, the bar right now is set pretty low. I also agree that I don't know what the heck has gotten into Hillary. I really wish she would calm down and stay in the background. We need to be showing a united front now more than we've ever needed it before.

Speaking of the Tulsi vs Hillary brouhaha, besides wishing Hillary would quietly move behind the scenes into the role of an elder stateswoman I wish Tulsi would let it go. I mean it's been 3 weeks since Hillary said this and as far as I know she hasn't said more since. If Tulsi would drop it, no one would even still remember it, but instead she is pushing it as hard as she can because (I think) she thinks it gets her some publicity, plays into the "we hate Hillary" crowd, and helps to keep her into the spotlight. Granted she needs all the publicity she can get, but my crystal ball doesn't show her having a prayer of winning the nomination Hillary or no Hillary. So both of them need to put the country first and stay out of the boxing ring so we can focus on who actually has the best chance of winning.

I hope the hearing is not on every single channel all day. I like to be able to have noise in the background without it stressing me out lol.
