Wonder what Mitch McConnell is thinking about today's shooting, when he has a gun control bill, that is sitting on his desk going no where! I would imagine, not a darn thing, he could care less! Shame on him & any other Congress Person who stands by & does nothing when another child died today & 4 others in the hospital with serious injuries. Shame on them all!!

My guess is that he just looks at it as a nuisance. He doesn't care. Otherwise, he wouldn't leave bills just languishing on his desk.

I continue to be amazed at the quality of these State Department witnesses.

It is sad to see what is evidently a dedicated, patriotic career public servant viciously attacked by the president himself while she is testifying under oath in front of Congress and the public. He again displays his utter contempt and disregard for us all.

I wonder who, behind the scenes, encouraged Deval Patrick to get into the race at this late date? I also wonder what lane they think he can take? He's missed four debates and probably won't meet the minimum requirements for this next one. It just seems like there's more than meets the eye. I'm really curious to know who's in his inner circle of supporters.

I'm also wondering about Deval Patrick. I know very little about him, and I expect it is the same for the majority of the country. At this point I think it would be a real uphill battle for him and also for Bloomberg to have any chance. Bloomberg has a leg up as he's got so much money, but Patrick doesn't have that advantage. It would be interesting to know what both of them see that makes them think they have a chance. Or is this just an opportunity to get better name recognition for the next time around? It concerns me because we need to be uniting and not pulling further apart. The Iowa caucuses, New Hampshire, etc. are not far out. The next debate is only 5 days away!
The beginning obstructing questions by Republicans seem to be a recurring theme in the hearings. I swear that woman (don't know her name) asked exactly the same question, word for word before the hearings started yesterday. I didn't hear what happened before her. Yesterday she was like the second one, so probably the same today. It's like they've memorized a script and they're putting on a play--a bad play.

I think Bloomberg's plan is to ignore the states with few electoral votes and concentrate on the biggies, California for one. I'm not optimistic about this whole thing. If I thought he could take some Republican votes, OK, but he's big on gun control and believing that climate change is real, which would put off a lot of right wing voters. If registered voters can even vote for someone in the other party; I don't know the rules for each state. Then there's always the Independents. My head is spinning from years of this situation.

Intimidating a witness in real time seems a no no to most people, but evidently the Oval Office Occupant listens to his Twitter finger rather than his brain, if he has one, & starts with the Intimidation on "the woman"....jeez, how stupid can one be? Well, I guess we kind of know the answer to that one.

Living in the outback, ND, LOL, I have to admit, I really know nothing of Patrick or Bloomberg & never really paid much attention to either. Looks like the Democratic field won't be thinning down anytime soon, tho. AND, PLEASE, I do not want to read, see or hear of Hilary jumping in. UGH! I agree with Joyce, she needs to sit back & just be an elder stateswoman. Please don't muddy up the waters at this late date.

The Republican impeachment arguments are like batting away cobwebs: they're flimsy and easily destroyed, yet annoying, distracting, and taking up time. And they don't stop coming.
Love Jordan's defense that the former ambassador wouldn't be intimidated if Schiff hadn't brought it up. How about future witnesses? How can these people (Republican congress) completely abandon any shred of integrity and rationality?
P.S. Roger Stone found guilty on all counts.

Wish I could spray a little repellant on those Republican mosquitoes. LOL
There seems to be no end to the swamp They're swarming out of.

Even Nixon didn't try to intimidate witnesses during their testimony. The rest of the world must be looking at us, especially those countries who have dictatorships or "presidencies" where no power resides with the people, and thinking "The United States is no better than our own government. It is just as corrupt." Republicans whatever happened to that shining beacon on a hill or to those thousand points of light? Did you really never believe in them at all? You've allowed them to sink into a cesspool. Heck! You've not only allowed it, but you've given them a push and actively held them under.

Just sent email to my Representative and Senators asking them to vote for impeachment. I know it's a total waste of effort. Everyone who represents me in Washington is so far up the JA's backside they can't see daylight. None of the three -- Kustoff, Alexander, and Blackburn would dare cross him about anything, but it makes me feel a little bit better to voice my opinion. So maybe that makes the effort worthwhile even knowing the goal won't be achieved. On a positive note, I am going to see my sweet, adorable, 8 year old granddaughter in a gymnastics competition today. Not even the JA and all the Republicans put together can take the shine off that for me.

Joyce, enjoy the gymnastics. Watching grandkids in sports is so fulfilling. We watch DGD play a college game in WY last night by streaming the game. She plays again this morning. So thankful that these games can be streamed live, so grandparents can watch. Good Luck getting a response from your Congress Peeps. We emailed ours about a different matter a couple months ago, never heard a peep from anyone! Pretty disappointed, but shouldn't be surprised, they could care less!
I think I have "impeachment hangover" already. I'm feeling kind of numb with all the fast moving "breaking news" coming out all day long.
