I guess I should clarify that. I don't know if Indiana is dark and gloomy or not really, I'm just basing that on the fact that here is Wyoming we have a very high number of sunny days each year and Indiana gets lots of rain. I think it's much like western NY where I used to live. Wy is sunny even in the winter and we dont get much rain at all. They seem to get a lot in Indiana. Yes winters there are a lot better although a few days ago their high was only 20 which is pretty unusual for there. Summers are hot and humid but here they are hot and dry. Ginny, I'm glad you had success in your shopping today. Your friend is going to love the Bible cover and I bet the tree skirt will be beautiful also. In crafting all I got done today is I finished the last row on the scarf I'm making and am now doing the edging. The hat that matches is really nice so I'll make that next. It's really easy too. Here's the link crochetncreate.com/warm-chunky-crochet-hat-scarf/CJ, I hope you had some good programs to watch today. It sounded like you had a busy day yesterday with shopping and other errands Sue, did you get snow today too? It's to be 50 tomorrow here so it will all melt. See you all tomorrow

Hello Crafters - Hope you are all doing well today Phyl - I hope your medical providers will make the best decisions for you and that your sinus problem gets better. Ginny - I'm glad you have your fabric for the bible cover so you can start working on it and also that you are working on the tree skirt. Ruth - I'm glad you are still having some mild weather, I'm sure the Indiana weather is going to be very different. I think I would have liked to have lived somewhere where the humidity was lower, it really bothers me. You sure have lived in many different places, I always feel like I'm strange for only living in one place Sue - Hope your weather is good and you are getting some crafting done. It's been cooler here but not too cold. Fortunately I haven't had to go anywhere this weekend. Earlier I was getting another of those "headaches" that I get so I went ahead and took some aspirin because I didn't want to wait for it to get better. The only thing that works for me right now are the BC Headache powders. They only have aspirin and caffeine in them. I tried the Excedrin migraine and it never worked for me - just like Ibuprofen never works for me. I'm going to check out the blogs on Slow Sunday Stitching and I also want to check out the websites I've marked on my Kindle and delete some of them. I'll see a quilt or pattern I like and I bookmark it and I have so many it's driving me crazy. So I want to go through and on my laptop and then save a picture of the quilt or save the pattern and then I can delete the bookmark on my Kindle. That will be my crafting for the day I have a few shows to watch tonight too. One is the episode of the series "Poldark". It's been a pretty good series and some of the scenery is beautiful. I'm glad I was able to go to Cornwall, England that one time many years ago. Take care everyone!

CJ, I'm glad you didn't have to go out too. I imagine the traffic is much worse on the weekend. As for the bookmarks well I have way to many too. I even made a separate folder for hats and then for hats I want to make soon and they're just both way too full. /there are no pictures so I have to open each one to see what it looks like. I could never live long enough to make all those on my list and I have lists for everything else too..baby items, baby blankets, scarves and cowls, toys...well you get the picture. I have at least one folder for everything you can possibly crochet.Yes I've lived in several places. Started out in Pa but family moved to NY when I was about 10 then we moved here so only three different actual places but many different homes.
/Today was supposed to be a warmer day but the wind is strong so even if it is warmer it feels colder because of that.
So far today my crafting has been sorting out the things for the family here for Christmas and then organizing some of the other things that are completed. For instance I have a small bin with just earwarmers. I want to make some more of the twisted ones because the young women in the crochet groups on fb say they are really the rage right now and at their craft fairs they are the biggest sellers so I think my grandaughters will like those. I may have to make a bunch for Indiana and some for the family here too.

hi girls Indiana is considered a Midwest.so yes it can get dark and gloomy. we have been through the state in sunshine, rain, snow and snow storms, thunder storms probably not as dark and gloomy as WI OR NE like those states.
they can get big snow storms. don't think they have snow removal like the other states. don't think their winter gets as cold as the middle Midwest states do.
today we did get a little Christmas shopping done for our dgs. also need to figure out what to get him for his bd.
HE RAKES IT IN. BIRTHDAY ,CHRISTMAS And Hanukkah.mike does not practice it much. don't think his gp do either.more like going through the motions.
I THINK ROB DOES THE OTHER HANUKKAH HOLIDAYS DURING THE YEAR.
have not done to much crafting since Wednesday. PHYL

Ginny - Thanks for the reminder of the show I have it on my calendar but may watch it when it repeats in a few days since the last episode of the Poldark series is on at the same time. Ruth - I have a millions bookmarks and saved things on my desktop computer and I'm trying really hard not to have all those on my new laptop Phyl - Glad you were able to get some Christmas shopping done. I have to start thinking about that soon since I want mine done early. I finished looking at all the Sunday blogs, and as always I'm in awe of the projects everyone is working on.

Ruth, that chunky crochet stripe hat and scarf is such a nice project ! I really like the ribbed look and the contrast of the two colors. Are you making this as a gift or to donate? I can imagine that you and Dh will figure out the best months to be in which location. I know with the distance you are not going to switch back and forth a lot but I Sure you will do what is best for you. Those twisted headbands sound so nice, you could do very nicely for yourself if you did sell at a craft fair. Think Making enough for both branches of the family is a good idea. Everyone will be happy.

Phyl, you had a whole week of quilting , so I guess a few days to take a break is a good thing. Glad you were able to get some Christmas shopping done! Nice to get a head start so maybe you do not have to rush toward the end. Hard to believe that December is 2 weeks away.
CJ, yes some people have a lot of time, talent and drive and get a lot accomplished . Itβs a treat they post it online so we can be inspired by their works. Sometimes looking online is all the crafting any of us get. So glad Poldark is on again! A nice change if you have been watching Christmas movies.
Ok I am on my phone which means I am posting from memory. Got 5 rows done on the tree skirt. And tomorrow is Monday. We are supposed to get snow/ freezing rain tonight. Guess winter is coming. Ginny
