Hi all. Tuesday I shall be ready willing and able to hit reset. We had a fantastic time with our friends. I did a 50/50 with the food choices. Not much walking was involved which didn't help matters.
I'm happy that Carl's urologist appointment isn't until 2:30 so that we can sleep in a bit.
Going to continue sticking to freestyle plan as that seems to work best for me. I can always switch it up or down as I see fit.
Sleep well all...............

I will track, move as I can and hydrate.I am doing green for the time being.
I'm sorry I didn't get back for personals yesterday and hope everyone is doing okay.It was a busy day.Our freezer to the refrigerator went out sometime during the night. We were hoping it was just the freezer but the fridge keeps trying to cycle and clicks back off and on and off.You get the picture.I found a fridge today in Elgin and we may end up getting it tomorrow or if they get others in we may look at them first. The one I like is a smaller side by side but that would give us more freezer space. They will deliver, install and take out the old one for an extra price.
So my day started out at 2:15 this morning.Kenneth was able to take a short nap but not me.We also had to go to HEB and Walmart.Since it's getting so cold and windy everyone was in HEB today stocking up plus it was Veterans Day and more people were off.
Ann Good luck to Carl at his appointment.

I am with you, Ann! We will be the Fearsome Duo!
I spent 2 hours this afternoon watching 3 kids in a van at the eye doc's office. I needed a Kahlua when I got home. BUT figured I was in such mental distress, I could not be trusted with it.
Bible Study in the morning, and grocery shopping before that.
Hope AWF have a great day!

Praying for Carl and you, Ann.
Oh, Becky, I understand about losing the freezer/fridge. I lost mine earlier in the year.
Letting you know that since a strong cold front is coming in early tomorrow, my knees have decided to have feeling. So, I am praying extra for our knees.
Stay warm!

Becky, you must have been exhausted yesterday. Hope you find the refrigerator that is best for your needs. Ann, I hope Carl has a good appointment today. Bee, whatโs up with your knees I can imagine how you โneededโ a Kahlua yesterday. Do well with the snacks at Bible study.
I will move, track and hydrate. Lots of time to walk. My only obligation is helping set up for a luncheon on Wednesday. Dinner is crock pot Kitchen cacciatore.

Good to "see" you all Ann Good luck w/ Carl's appt.
Becky Yikes! That's rough when your fridge goes. Hope that everything comes together for a quick replacement.
Bee Have done that-- been the in car babysitter. Yep, that would make you think that you might want a lil something. Audrey Nice that you have a lower key day. Thx for mentioning cacciatore. Would be something different for us.
Susi Love your picture.

Tuesday's goals Praying that I can step off or at least slow down the stressmobile. Have crossed my fingers, toes, and ๐. Thankful that R continues to improve w/ his rehab. Tomorrow he will be alone while I am at work. He just isn't safety minded or body aware, but what can I do?
Waterproofing Contractor finally finished today-- state of the yard is not as it should be b/c of the wet ground. At least the rough grade is an improvement & the special order window well is installed. He did fill in most of the voids against the house.& used excavator to rough grade the side yard. Due to the weather, he will not bring in any top soil, grade further, and plant grass. After he left, I did what I could to do a little handgrading . Hoping that it's enough to let enough water flow away from the house.
We have no idea if sump pump will be swamped like it was two weeks ago. I prepared as well as I could and hoped all will be ok. Have a second pump ready to augment primary pump and an extended hose to send it out the window and pass the bare ground. R will have to help me , but it will not be too physical of a task for him. If the power goes out, I am ready. Hefted the generator up the steps & onto the porch. Would have been nice if it wasn't fully loaded, and I mean fully loaded w/ gas. Dannnnnnnng.... I am thankful that I had enough strength to lift w/ my legs to get it up the stairs and took it slowly. My body tells me that I spent a few hours doing physical labor today, but I do not feel any pain.
Going to check basement, then off to bed. setting the alarm so I can check the basement.
Will start taking the baby steps that will move me forward to healthier eating & self care. ๐ธ Bought myself a small bouquet of pink roses as I braved the grocery store before the storm. ๐ Decided that I will call off tomorrow if there is ice on the road or water in the basement.
Thank you for always being in my corner

I can:
* stick with the whole food plant based vegan diet * hydrate * exercise * embrace onederland (this morning I hit 199 on the digital and 195 on the spring scale)
Today I will be exercising by cleaning for the ladies coming to lunch tomorrow. I will also be prepping to cook in the morning as I am unsure how many people will actually show up. Today the roads to Beirut (and some others) will be closed and there is a massive strike with banks, schools and many other areas closed down for the day.
We purchased more grains and dry beans and some canned goods and should be set as long as we have propane jars to keep the stove going or electricity for electric options. I suppose we could chop down trees in a pinch as there are some out there that could use a bit of a trim
My sister-in-law has all of the family photos (or most of them) and she put up photos of my father when he was in the service during WWII. I never knew him "like that" but found it interesting to see him so young and remember the stories he told.
My husband is walking down to check on the olive trees we own. He will be picking up a machine from the village municipality that is supposed to shake the trees so the olives fall onto tarps beneath them. I might go to watch depending on when he decides to harvest the olives.
PAM: Here's to a new day and pushing the reset button.
BEE: Another day of KOKO for most of us! I can't imagine (or perhaps can) three kids in a van for 2 hours...how did you keep them entertained!
AMY: Hope you enjoy the plan you have chosen to follow on WW and it is easy to remain vegan and OP as you move forward.
MJ: I am sure that the young people who marched in the parade were proud to do so then happy that they were invited to eat at the American Legion with those who have served already. It sounds like your current eating plan is not making you happy though your gut may enjoy it. I know that my BIL has finally graduated to non-soft food but he still is not interested in alcohol of any kind and he used to enjoy it quite a bit. Hope your doctor has some ideas to give you more variety in your diet.
SUSI: How inspiring your spin class must have been on Veterans Day! Definitely a memory to take with you for future VD holidays. Hope you enjoyed dinner with your DGF. I did find more things for the pantry but not all of the items I was looking for. I definitely should be set for food for quite awhile! It is interesting to hear how people which of the three WW plans to adopt. Hope the one you have chosen works well for you.
ANN: I think that churches in our youth were...different...or we were. I enjoy doing my own thing, too If Freestyle works for you then KOKO!
LADONNA: I haven't seen my granddaughters in person since spring break two years ago (or longer?) It feels like forever. I am so glad you get to see Jayleigh more often than I see Hazel & Jade. Your events sound interesting and fun for the weekend.
BECKY: What a hassle having the refrigerator die. I remember that happening and the mess of trying to save what we could, tossing a lot and then the choosing of a new smaller frig that is working fine but might not be my favorite. Good luck!
JUNE: (((HUGS))) It sounds like it has been hectic and stressful with all that has been going on. I hope you can avoid flooded basement and house and that your husband gets a better feel for what he can/should and cannot/should not do in the future. My sister told me that her husband is better but that his appetite is still not the same and he is sometimes frustrated that his body is not able or allowed to do all that it used to do. He is to never lift over 20 pounds...not ever. That means my sister (with an iffy back) is the main person to do the lifting and work that her husband used to do. Anyway...hope you get some rest and know that you are looking forward to the end of the semester!

Audrey, I live basically pain free. BUT when a cold front or big storm is heading our way, I have some pain in my knee joints. The front has passed this morning, and I am back to normal. Remember how they said the old folks could tell when the weather was gonna change? My knees sure can.
Susi, it is only when the weather changes drastically. We were 82 yesterday afternoon, this morning we are 49 with whipping winds. Glad you enjoyed your day off.
June, so good to see you. Still praying for you and R. Sure hope all turns out well.
Cathy, I am not an entertainer. These do entertain themselves. I did give them some Belvita to gnaw on. Everything was good until one of the twins took a dump and almost asphyxiated us all. LOL A few minutes after his Mom showed up. Have fun with your Ladies. What are you cooking?
Going grocery shopping as soon as the store opens at 7 a.m.

I had to attend school board mtg last night so my evening was shot. No activity but glad to report i was OP. Hope to repeat that today. Not sure what to do about PT. Its so tiresome traveling to and fro several times a week. I'm not noticing any difference yet after 9 sessions. I just don't know how long it takes. Ann, hope you are in dream land I'm glad they gave people choices this roll out and you can stick to what works for you. Becky, my current fridge is 25 years old. Its the only appliance in my house I've not replaced. I know I'll never find another to last that long. Good luck as you pick out a new one. Bee, yowsa! that was def mental stress! I'd have had to have the Kalua LOL Audrey, sounds like a nice low key day...enjoy! Susi, I need to stock up on fish. I actually have not had any Salmon or any fish in a while. I was eating so much I got a little burned out. Enjoy your day. June, we are always in your corner and so good to see you whenever you have a minute to come by. Glad R is improving. Continued prayers and well wishes for you all. Cathy, cleaning is a great way to get activity and knock out a chore at the same time. Wow and olive tree sounds so cool! I love olives. I bet the fresh ones off the tree tastes nothing like the ones I eat out of jars and cans. HUGS wish you could see your sweet grands more.

Good morning all. I slept really well last night waking up with no tummy issues and feeling refreshed. It doesn't get any better than that LaDonna yeah to being OP. Sorry for the board meeting and that your PT hasn't kicked in yet. I would most definitely mention that next time you go. Perhaps they can do something different. Keep us posted. MJ love the picture and enjoy your errands. Cathy great goals. Praying for your safety. Wonderful for your sister to share photos of your dad so that you can see him in uniform and recall the stories he told. June ((((hugs)))) thinking of you during this stressful time and praying that it all will work out well. Happy you treated yourself to roses and good idea to cancel tomorrow if the roads are icy or there is additional water in the basement! Susi we'll be the 'true blue gals' lol. It works well for me for maintenance as well. Audrey enjoy your day of walking. Sounds like it will be on the laid back side which is a win win in my books. Meal sounds delish. (((Bee))) sorry for your stressful day. I can see why you wanted the nip and also why you didn't indulge. Hope today is better for you. Yes we shall join hands and do this weight watcher thing (((Becky)))) so sorry to hear of your refrigerator woes. Our big freezer went last year in the heat of the summer, so I know what you are up against. Praying that you will find a replacement that you are both happy with. Thank you all for the prayers and good wishes for Carl with his appointment today. I shall report back once we get home and are all settled in. Waving...........and take care all!

June - Hope the basement/waterproofing issue finally gets finished up. Hugs to you and R. Glad his progress continues but hopefully he will take care not to hurt himself. Cathy - Looks like you are as well set up as possible. Hope the gas and electricity hold out for you. Good luck with your prep work for tomorrow. Bee - LOL on the twin. FYI - olives will definitely do that to a young one in diapers. MJ - Hope you get some time to yourself today! LaDonna - Sorry your night was shot but being OP is a good thing. As your next session, discuss your feeling of no progress. Perhaps a tweak will help. Glad you slept well, Ann. Hope you slept in too!

Ann I hope Carl's appointment goes/went well today. We all need to stick with a plan that works for us.That's the thing I like about the new plans. You can always switch back and forth to see what is going to continue to work for each of us.
Bee I hope Bible study helped you with the mental stress.Three kids in a van would have driven me to drink even if it was just extra coffee. Our current fridge is only 3 yrs old. That's what is so frustrating.
Audrey Thanks.Actually I wasn't exhausted until it came to bedtime. At least I got a little over 7 hours sleep.I'm more tired today because we did go to town and picked out the fridge, went to the bank to get cash out and put the money in we got from selling the calves, went back to pay for the fridge and after lunch we cleaned up the kitchen so there is room for the installer to get through when he does come out to deliver. He may not get here till around 4:00 because he had to wait for the boss to get back with a shipment that he was supposed to come in around 10:00 and I imagine he had to eat lunch. We don't know how long.We are just in waiting mode now.I did get the side by side.
Susi We did manage to save all the good food. However there was a lot of old stuff that was more than likely bad or had freezer burn in the chest freezer we had to throw away to make room for some of the food in the fridge. That arctic blast is chilly.Enjoy your fish.
