Has anyone tried these waters? I'm trying to wean DH away from Diet Barq's root beer and he liked the flavor of this Black Cherry Version. Are these ok? The dentist said the acids in diet soft drinks are bad for tooth enamel but it looks like the Dasani sparkling water might be better. Dasani Sparkling Water

Hi I love the sparking waters, in fact I’m drinking. Dasani Pomegranate Blueberry one right now. The Bubbly ones are good too. Occasionally I have a diet ginger ale or Sierra Mist. They aren’t sweet tho like pop. I can’t see how they’d be bad for you unless you weren’t supposed to have carbonated water. It says the flavorings are natural.

Some of the sparkling waters have aspartame, so read the labels before choosing.

linda72 , Ingredients in Diet Coke: INGREDIENTS CARBONATED WATER, CARAMEL COLOR, ASPARTAME, PHOSPHORIC ACID, POTASSIUM BENZOATE (TO PROTECT TASTE), NATURAL FLAVORS, CITRIC ACID, CAFFEINE. Ingredients in Desani Black Cherry Sparkling Water: INGREDIENTS CARBONATED WATER, NATURAL FLAVORS.
I surmise that the phosphoric and citrus acides are the culprits in sodas. The Desani sparkling waters don’t contain any acids so they should be safe.
