Same here. Kitchen closed at 5. I am now enjoying a snifter of brandy and watching football. Carol and Frankie have gone home. Midnight has been on the daybed instead of under for a couple of hours now. Jack has wandered in a few times. Looked at her but was more interested in her food, water and litter box. Long way to go yet.

I will join you two on getting back to a normal eating plan.I didn't do too bad but I'm ready for my normal eating again.
Susi It may take awhile for Jack and Midnight to get acclimated. It took awhile for KitKat and Marcey but getting Marcey was the best thing we could have ever done for KitKat because they love to play with each other now.

No regrets about Thanksgiving. I had one plate of food, and I gave away all the pies except what was left of Bobβs mincemeat. I had one piece of pie. Today I will move a lot because we will begin to put out our holiday decorations. I will refill my water glass and try to track.

Susi enjoy your brandy. I'm about teady to fully enjoy a glass of wine.
One good thing is no leftovers.
Audrey we are also going to decorate tomorrow. I already took down the fall decorations.
Becky are your knees feeling any better?
Sweet dreams

Ann Thanks for asking but they aren't feeling any better yet.It will take awhile to loosen up my hamstrings and IT band. That might give some relief in the knees and also lower back pain eventually but of courst PT can't cure the arthritis.Enjoy your wine.

I will:
* I can think about what I put into my mouth before I eat it * write it in my journal when I have decided to and have eaten it
* be positive * hydrate * eat wfpb vegan meals
I really wanted to write things like exercise, make a meal plan and other things but doubt I would follow through so opted not to list them above.
I enjoyed reading through what everyone is thankful for and what was eaten and how everyone celebrated. So glad to have found this group:)
ANN: How much decorating do you do for Christmas?
SUSI: Is Jack a cat, too? How is Midnight settling in? I am so glad they decided that Midnight would be happy in your home and is now with you.
BECKY: I liked your comment on "getting back to normal eating" - I think that is what I need to work toward once I remember what "normal" is again. I hope the PT helps!
AUDREY: I love your attitude...you enjoyed the meal, got rid of dangerous leftovers and are on track today! Do you do a lot of decorating for Christmas?

Goooood morning
Please bear w/ me, I wanted to read the posts feat I missed on W, TH. & F. I am determined to be less out of the loop. Warning-- some personals may be throwbacks!
First, I hope that everyone had a pleasant holiday. Whatever I ate, drank, or did not, beyond providing insight and/or inspiration, it is yesterday's news. Today truly is a fresh start when it comes to what I eat or drink. I did not overindulge. I had a piece of blueberry pie. I do not need another slice today. Am hitting the store for some lovely fresh fruit and gifted others w/ a slice or two of pie. That wil leave R with another piece. That should work. Today will be a OP day because I want it to be and I will plan for it.
Ann Love that you took advantage of premade cruditΓ©s. Great addition to everyon's meal, less work, and something healthy that looks appetizing. Audrey Sendling even more prayers and hugs. I did not realize that your switched dr. appt. involved your chest pain & the understandable anxiety. Glad that you could find a positive in the situation. Having more time before abig family dinner is a plus. Kudos for sharing the pie w/ others. If it is not there, then you cannot eat it.
Bee Ha ha ha... now you have done it. I will likely pick up some sweet potatoes & try Susi's recipe.
Becky I missed an earlier post regarding why you must sell your bull. But it sounds like K knows what to do in this situation though. Am sure that it is never a good time financially to make up the difference between the selling price of an older bull and a younger one. Your PT stretches for loosening the hamstrings & other supporting muscles makes a lot of sense. Releasing that tightness could be helpful.
Cathy I understand completely about putting your goals into writing. The mind, heart, and spirit connection. . . we can struggle between where we think we should be and where we are. Myself, I see a lot of benefit from setting realistic goals for a day and meeting them while keeping the bigger destination in mind.
Mj Thinking of you as you & Toots relax at Woodloch. It's Diva time!
Lisspak Am glad that your DGD and DGGD were able to be with you and your husband. (((Hugs)))
LaDonna Hope that each day on Thxgiving break seems extra long. Enjoy. After taking mom through her shoulder PT for months & R through his neck PT, I can understand your choice. Getting the right PT trainer & situation can be a make or break situation. In addition, some of the exercises like the pendulums, towel slides, and finger walk walks seem goofy. (Is Easier for me to guide PT for others by giving prompts then to call it an blah blah retraction or abduction).
Pam It did not register just how much snow you got in CO earlier this week. Yes, it is what it is. That is a whole lot of snow to move, pile, and melt though. KOKO.
Susi Am glad that I read about the circumstance behind the shelter's decision. Honestly, not giving Midnight a chance to settle into your home made no sense. Sounds like there is no open hostility. That's a hopeful start.

Good morning, all!
Today we'll watch Woodloch transform from Thanksgiving and Fall to a Christmas and winter wonderland. Best way to do that is to do a lot of walking. That's a win-win!
πππππππππ Have a healthy-eating day, all! πππππππππ

Probably gonna get more exercise than normal, I am hunting my Yabba-Dabba.
Oldest just drove out the driveway heading home.
I had to have 2 T=dinners yesterday, one at my house and one across the property. I know DGD made enough food to feed every homeless person in my parish.
I have to say I ate sensibly, didn't overdo. Proud of myself --- and only touched a small piece of Jello cheesecake at my house. DDIL made it, it's her tradition. She doesn't like to cook.
No time for personals yet. Be back later.

Good morning all. Slept well and woke up to partly sunny weather. I'll take it. I plan on hydrating planning tracking and meeting my Garmin goal. Wishing all a happy day after . Bee great that you ate in a sensible way MJ enjoy walking. June sounds like you had a wonderful day and also watched what you ate. Win win. Cathy I do VERY little decorating these days. Hang a wreath on the door, put up a small Christmas tree a few candles and my angels that call it a holiday Any decorations that I do not use go into a box and get donated To me, less is more! Great goals. Becky praying that you will feel some relief in your knees soon. Waving and will CBL

Back to basics today. May do a little decorating. All of the left overs were sent away or thrown out other than a little turkey. May have some or might not. I really need to run to the grocery and PU some fresh veggies for roasting.. I am craving some -I also need fruit. About to make my second cup of coffee and then take a walk.
Susi, I'm sure in time they will all be friends.
Ann, when the kids were younger we had decorations all over the place and lights strung everywhere outside. No more of that. I have a few things sitting around, the tree and I do string garland and bows on my front porch along with wreaths in the windows. Its not that much trouble and looks so pretty.
Becky, sure hope the PT will work. I'm doing some of the exercises at home I was doing at PT.
Audrey, no regrets here either. for all the food that was in the house I don't think I did too terribly bad and now thankfully it is all gone!
Cathy, great manageable goals. a positive attitude sure does help:)
June, I bet Richard's pie was good! I hope our break seems extra long, too! And we have the Christmas break to look forward to.
MJ, walking sound like the perfect plan for the day after. enjoy all the beautiful sights and sound.
Bee, enjoy your day!

LaDonna I too shall join you in back to basics. I guess we are all on the same 'less is more' page when it comes to decorating. I got a great gift when I stepped on the scale just now and saw a maintain I'll take it! Time for coffee.

Ha ha ha.... Ann & LaDonna-- you would cling to see how much "less" my less is. If less is more, I have an overabundace! I should think about a simple arrangement w/ using greens and such from our property. I am pathetic. I like the idea of it, but I guess this part of year is super busy w/ grading. I have a little hand-painted winter decoration that Dad bought. He wanted to support a woman who ha don sales at a craft show. I got one. Mom got one. I will put it on the windowsill and enjoy the memory.
Mj Wonderful mixture of pleasure and activity. Perfect!
Bee Wowzer-- you really did well! Two Thxgiving dinners would have sunk many well-meaning intentions. So if you find your " Yabba Dadda-" what will you "Do". And yes that is a pun Fred Flintstone pun.... Yabba Dabba do! Will channel that and head out to try to dig holes to find R's drain line for hopeful sump pump replumbing. (HOpefully the line can be found. If not, well, that is another bridge to cross and a higher toll to pay).
