Went to my WW meeting this morning. We shared different recipes and ideas on what is good to eat. I learned from one member that the Premier Protein Drinks (chocolate) makes a nice hot chocolate when heated. YUM :-) It is really good!

Hello Everyone - I tried to post yesterday but the website kept freezing up on my computer, so I gave up. DotRen - *waving* to you sunrose - Hope you enjoyed your walk. The 100 Day Challenge is on this board in the Simply Filling folder. cathygeha starts a new thread every day and you can join at anytime. It has helped me to eat at least some healthy foods and try to keep up my healthy habits. I hope you enjoy the drink warmed up. I used to love the Alba (smoothies and hot chocolate) products that they had in the 1980s when I was on WW. They, like many other foods that are no longer around, really helped me to stay on track. I have really struggled with finding new products to replaced the ones that I ate almost daily. The ones I'm eating now just don't appeal to me that much. Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and doing well with staying on track

Good morning cj, I know there were several things I liked and no longer available. Thanks for the info on the challenge I'll check it out. There is too much junk food here. My son made cookies and friends have sent stuff as gifts Oh well. I need better control over my mouth! I hope everyone is handling the season ok.

DotRen , sunrose49 , cj59 , good morning! I didn't make or buy cookies this year. Ron did pick me up a box of cordial cherries lol. I love them, but I limit myself to 1 splurge a year on them (at Easter I have 3 peeps and 1 cadbury egg). I'm not sure if it's just nostalgia or if it helps my cravings for sweets, but it's a "one and done" with me for them, even though I love them -it works:) I started drinking a cup of warmed unsweetened almond milk with a scoop of turmaquik in the evenings and I am sleeping really well and my "aches and pains" seem to be much better, too. I need to get Ron to try it for his knee aches. I'm not too worried about food right now, I'm letting my appetite guide me until after Christmas lol. I do crave savory things, so I'm intentionally not buying pretzels or things like that. I'm going to clean out my closet some time this week and donate some clothes. There have been 2 house fires in the local paper that are taking clothing donations, and I have a lot of tops that I haven't worn in a long time that are in very good/new condition that I know would be good for someone that needs them. Shame to just let them hang there unworn. May you all have a Blessed holiday season

Merry Christmas. I spend it with Scott until 4pm and then Russ the rest of the time with his family. Scott and I go to IHOP at 6am. One of us calls the other at 5am. I may have a2 fruit cups.. We bought a fruit plate to eat today I am sick of junk food here. I can eat turkey tonight with Russ's family and vegetable.

dotren, I have stopped baking cookies and my son started last year doing it. He enjoys it and they are good, but I limit myself to usually one a day with coffee.

Hello Everyone - Wishing all who celebrate a very MERRY CHRISTMAS. Hope you enjoy spending time with family and/or friends. amrys - I hope you enjoyed your meal at IHOP today, what a nice tradition sunrose - It's a good plan to get past the holiday and then get back in full mode. I know you can do it! Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans and that you make it through dealing with all the holiday meals/foods. I found that I didn't eat as many of them as I have in the last few years. I did buy some Christmas candies and I made gingerbread yesterday (Betty Crocker box mix) that I enjoy every year. Maybe I'm finally getting to the point where I can realize that holidays don't have to always be associated with foods and eating Take care everyone!

Hello Everyone sunrose - Hope you enjoyed your WW meeting. And Congratulations on making it through the holidays without that weight gain I'm doing pretty well - at least I'm sticking to my 100 Day Challenge requirements every day. I'm starting to think I might try calorie counting again, instead of any other plans - but I'm not sure yet. I've got to start something in January, so hopefully I figure it out soon Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

Good morning cj, that's great you are doing pretty well. Thanks for telling us about the 100 day challenge. I posted for the first time this morning. Waving to all I am doing f/v, water, and dairy for the 100 day challenge. I am terrible about all of them and this will make me at least think about it and hopefully each day get them in. I lost .4 at my meeting yesterday. So thankful for that. Still many pounds to lose, but my first goal is to get below 200.

sunrose - I'm happy to see you in the 100 Day Challenge thread. Keeping up with that is the only reason I'm eating some vegetables, fruits and dairy each day - and getting in my steps on my Fitbit. If I didn't have to post there I'd probably be doing none of that Hope everyone has enjoyed the weekend. It didn't seem like a weekend with the holiday being in the middle of the week. I'm guessing this next week will be mixed up (at least in my mind) too. Take care everyone!
