I did not watch the debate. I did check out a bit of the analysis. I still think Biden is the best realistic shot at getting Agent Orange out. I know, he's old, he's white, he's had a looong political career, not what many are looking for. I am getting pessimistic about the whole thing.
ETA: His supporters know exactly what they have always been getting from that first speech about Mexico sending us rapists. They like conservative judges, business over the environment, blaming everyone but themselves for everything, and many seem to love his vulgarity.

Lani, I agree with everything you posted. He is a vile thug. A rude and crude human being. I despise him as well as his whole family. I was going to add friends but he doesn't have any of those.
However, I despise his supporters even more! It's unsettling to think the woman who checks me out at the grocery store, or the guy who pumps my gas, is as crude and vile as the waste of human flesh desecrating the Oval Office.
These people have children and grandchildren. They could be teachers or have a Sunday school class. They could influence young and innocent minds. They are more dangerous than the Liar-In-Chief.

A woman I went to school with and considered my best friend until I moved away after high school, has 3 daughters and 5 grand daughters and she voted for him - even after he showed what a pig he was and how little he values women. I don't get it.

I don't get it either. However, I have a feeling it was more of a vote against Hillary, than a vote for him.
They showed her. How dare a woman think she could be president? Fools.

I think a lot of people held their nose and voted for him. Some because they hated Hillary, some because they wanted conservative judges appointed, and some just because he was pretending to be Republican and that's how they vote. They told themselves (stupidly so) that once he got into office he would change as if the Oval Office could somehow cast a magic spell over him. That so many voted for him and have stood behind him for so long is very disheartening and discouraging to me, but I feel a little encouragement in finding that even a small part of that number are now beginning to be willing to speak up and say they were wrong. That gives me hope. All those disgusting idiots cheering like fools at the rallies are a lost cause. They'll never change, and they scare me a lot because they are the girl at the cash register, the teacher, the person down the street who all look "normal" and yet have a lot of vile hatred lurking under their smiles. Those people are dangerous, and they've been unleashed. But still when I see even a small crack in his base, and I see people who are speaking up and saying "we were wrong, he has to go," it gives me hope. It may not be enough to prevent him from winning again, but there is always hope. At least it gives me some hope that not all of them have drunk the full glass of Kool-Aid.

doordie50, Thanks for the laugh!! Is he on something, or what? I just don't get it about my Trump-loving friends. I know they hated Hillary and that may have been due to seeing the movie about Benghazi more than anything else. But how they could keep thinking Trump was so great after the Access Hollywood tape - I just don't get it. One friend of mine is very jacked up by any cheating husbands but somehow gives Trump a clean pass. I do think they believe every word that comes out of his mouth, and of course they only watch Fox. I have no hope that they might wake up anytime before the next election. I just hope they're not the majority.

I just don't get it about my Trump-loving friends. Me either conniefromct, and I also have family members. I look at them and think "who are you?" It completely baffles me how they can be so mesmerized by this charlatan.

Connie, you answered your own question. The reason is they only watch FAUX. They only believe what they see and hear on there.
When you are brainwashed you don't know you are. You believe these are your own thoughts, feelings, and ideas.
That's why it works. Be leary of anyone who demands a change of clothes or thoughts.
Pam, Omg! He is such a jerk. And yet his worshippers cheer him on. Not only is he a fool he's perfectly ok with it and so are they.
Is he suppose to be the common man? Remember when people said they wouldn't vote for Kerry because he was too smart? Well, they got their fool. A fool who would turn on them in a NY minute. Shaking head.

doordie50, that was funny. I watched with the sound off so I could see the un-words and not have to listen to that voice. My early favorite was "Bigley". I was watching GPS on CNN and they had a couple of historians on. One pointed out that in all the previous impeachments the entire Congress was controlled by the opposition party. This is the first time with a House controlled by one and Senate controlled by the other. I suppose this should have been glaringly obvious to me, since I lived through the last two impeachments, but for some reason I didn't really notice it. No wonder the bickering was so intense. I guess that means Nixon would have been impeached in the Senate if he hadn't resigned first. Even Andrew Johnson's Congress was controlled by a party of which he was not a member.

Lani, his voice is worse than nails on a black board. He has a mic why the Hell does he have to screech and scream all the time? What's with the circles he makes with his hands? His face is always so twisted like he's in pain. Well, he is one hell of a PITA. One big, stupid, ugly, dangerous, pain with cult like worshipers.
Could there be some Star Trek Universal Translator where they hear Sense, Thoughtfulness, and Reason when he squeals? LOL! While we hear the ravings of a mad man? It simply makes no sense and I need things to make sense.

So now Feldman one of the law professors who testified before the Judiciary Committee that tRump should be impeached is coming out saying that transmittal of the impeachment papers to the Senate is a required part of the impeachment process and therefore that until Nancy sends the papers to the Senate tRump is not actually impeached. Give me a break! How does one sleazy, slimmy, disgusting charlatan con man manage to slither around the Constitution seemingly so easily. I can just hear him crowing about this now. So when will Nancy send them? And, really what's the point as McConnell has no intention of having an actual trial. I'm just sick and tired of the whole mess. I'm going to go turn on some Christmas music and pretend I live in a world where tRump and his fellow scum don't exist.
