I just wish that these Republican Senators who are "kind of, sort of" speaking out about the Impeachment & Process in the Senate would follow thru more than just on the words. They say it, but often don't back it up with action when push comes to shove. Very disappointing & very hypocritical IMHO. Don't get me wrong, I think it takes some courage to speak out with JA in the WH, but from past experience it doesn't mean a thing in the end. If their vote on Kavanough had depended on whether he would be confirmed or not, I wonder if they would have voted the other way. It was a safe vote for them in some respects. I'm just discouraged by all politics at the moment. No wonder the whole world seems crabby at times. LOL
Slowly taking Christmas down & putting it away for HOPEFULLY another year. I ordered some new craft items, so I'm planning on spending the rest of the Winter, crafting, reading & as little as possible...with lots of tea on the side...:-)

I suppose we should all be resting up for the New Year. I imagine once the politicians come back to DC on Jan 6th it will be non stop talking points, on both sides. It will be interesting for sure.
I see JA is trying to out the whistleblower in a roundabout way. Figures, he's too much of a coward to just come out & do it. If he is responsible & the person does get outed, I hope that means another article of Impeachment against him.
Amy K. is gaining ground in Iowa. I hope she does do well, as I really like her. I really like Kamala too, & was sorry when she left the race. I hope she ends up maybe as a V.P. for somebody. As I said, 2020 is going to be one very interesting, very contentious & very stressful year.

I'm glad to see Amy Klobuchar doing well in Iowa too. I like her a lot. As I was coming home just now on the radio I heard that Bernie is now in 2nd place behind Biden nationwide, so he's gaining. I worry about him though because I just don't feel like he can pull in the moderates and disenchanted Republicans. While I like a lot of his ideas (I am not for free college for all), I just think his continual talk of a social revolution scares a lot of people. I think Elizabeth is not likely to attract the middle of the road undecideds either. So I still think we need someone more middle of the road like Amy or Pete, but unfortunately I don't see either of them getting the nomination. As for Bloomberg, I think he has waited too late to get into the race and wish he'd put his money behind someone who can win. At one point I thought Biden was the most likely person to be able to take on tRump and win, but I'm not feeling that way as much anymore. I am afraid Biden is slowing down, and so I'm no longer convinced he has what it takes.
I agree that once Congress is back in session we better all fasten our seat belts and hang on for a very bumpy ride all the way through the election.

I'm starting trying to get used to the idea of four more years, just in case. I'm getting a stomach ache just typing it out.

I'm really afraid that we are going to be stuck for another 4 years too, and it will be even worse than it is now because he's going to know absolutely for certain that he's untouchable and can get away with anything. There won't be anything left to reign him in.

Well, I'm discouraged too, but, I still have a smidegon of faith, that somehow, somewhere, JA is going to do or say the absolute impossible thing that will make his most ardent political supporters finally say, "enough is enough"...He just can't help himself. He's his own worst enemy by stepping all over decency & fairness. But, then again, we always get to that place & we think this will do it & he always gets a pass. So, maybe he will get another 4 years, but gosh, I hope my smidgen turns into so much more... it just scares the bejeezus out of me to think we would have to put up with him 4 more years.
A German poll, just described JA as most dangerous person in the world at 40%...Kim Jung Un came in at 20 something % & Putin was even lower percentage wise. Jeez, what does that tell you! And Germany certainly knows a dangerous leader when they see one, given their history.

Unfortunately, I think that German poll was probably exactly right. I do think he's the most dangerous person in the world. The sooner we're rid of him the better. It will be good riddance to bad rubbish. I hope Linda that you are right that he's finally going to push the line so far that even his supporters can't overlook it. I hope that will be before he gets in for a second term.

Yes, he is definitely the most dangerous given the U.S. power in the world.
My biggest fear for another four years is the SCOTUS. I don't think RBG has another four years in her. But you never know; she's one tough cookie.

I'm afraid RBG can't last another 4 years too. When she is gone it will be a tremendous loss not just because of who he will replace her with if he gets another term, but because she is such a strong, formidable, brilliant woman. I have tremendous admiration for her. The SCOTUS is a big reason we need to defeat the R Senators up for re-election. In my dreams McConnell is sitting at home in KY with a big loser sign over his head. A girl can always dream.

Michael Moore warned us last time and he is again. He believes if we don't get Bernie Trump will win.
