My lower back is killing me today. After 7 hours in the car yesterday driving home, when we got home I had the bright idea to do the following:
Load of laundry (towels) Take in the garbage cans from the curb Clean the toilets Change out the litter Sweep the floors Clean the bathroom floors by hand Unpack every last thing Clean out the car Load the dishwasher after dinner dishes
And then suddenly felt a spasm in my lower back and all day today its sore.
Sometimes I really need to learn to just lay down and not think I should do everything at once. I had the girls help me with some of it at least.

finreporter, Oh Fin that s#cks! Hope it isn't anything serious and you feel better soon. After being stuck in a car for that long, I would have had some pent up energy too. fullmahina, what a great pic! I bet the wildlife there is just beautiful.

finreporter, cold packs for the first 24 hours then heating pad. Been there, done that...SuperWoman mode is highly overrated. And yeah, employ the girls. They owe you, bigtime. doordie50, we have the most wonderful wildlife here. Between the birds and the deer I am endlessly amused. Oh...and the occasional bear that visits us. Turtles, butterflies, groundhogs, foxes, coyotes---I see each one as a gift when they are spotted. My chickens are safe from predators so I can enjoy them without worry.

Holy cow that looks cold. I always joke with my girls that when it's 65 degrees out we act like it's the arctic freeze. We lived in Hawaii for 15 years. Once in a while we dipped into the 60's during the winter. I would leave my night shift and see the day shift coming in, dressed in parkas. No kidding---parkas with fur-wrapped hoods. ::SMILE::

Haha that is us! We broke out the parkas and gloves and hats and faux fur for 60 degrees!
And I spasmed my back again just now trying to fix my jeans hem from being tucked into my high tops. I should have just left it alone! No more bending for me for now. The strange thing is I got on the treadmill this morning and the back didn't hurt the entire run. In fact it didn't hurt for several hours after until this afternoon. I will do the ice when I get home for sure.

I hope you get some relief soon. If not, you might benefit from visit to a doctor and a prescription muscle relaxer.

I chanced it running on the treadmill and I am again amazed that I feel zero pain while on the treadmill and then again no pain while doing weights. Taking it easy rest of the day though.
