Happy Holidays! For those of you who followed 'Smart Points' a few years back, how are you liking the green plan? I was very successful with Smart Points but, when the plan changed, so did my success. I was an online-only member and found it difficult to track with the change in the structure/system. I finally gave up my WW-subscription and - by gosh - I found all that weight I lost. I'd like to try it again now that the program has changed (again). Just wondering how you all are making out with it? Suzanne

stillness, I am liking the green plan. To me it is better than the original Beyond the Scale version because you can rollover up to 4 SP a day. That makes it much more livable. I find that days that I don't eat out it is pretty easy to rollover a couple of points. When I eat out I can then use those rolled over points and my weekly points. I did not do well on Freestyle and had used just calorie counting. I like calorie counting (I still do it also) but followed the green plan is helping me with eating in a more healthy way.

stillness, I've done fine so far on the Green plan. I didn't like Free Style because I couldn't handle not having numbers attached to foods and drinks. I calorie-counted for over a year until I switched to Green. I agree that having the rollovers is a nice addition to the plan.

I followed smart points for 3 months when it first came out but stopped because I was always way over my points allowances but still maintaining, as I wanted to. My issue with it was the way points were calculated. After 3 months, I switched to a calorie counting program.
I recently decided to try the green plan. This time I need to lose weight, not maintain. I did ok staying within my points allowance and lost some weight the first week.
The 2nd week I went way over my points allowance to -80 for the week. I still lost weight, 0.6 lbs lost, which is a really decent amount for me.
I ended up feeling as discouraged about the plan as when it first came out. The rollovers didn't help me. I'm feeling that because of the way points are calculated, the numbers have little relationship to my amount of food intake and therefore little relationship to my weight goals

Hope everyone had a great holiday! 😊 stillness !! If you did well on BTS you will do well on this one if you are ready. The whole way SPs (whether BTS or FS) are calculated is a great fit for a certain subset of people and if it worked for you then jump back on it and it will work. If you want to check it out here is a link for a promo they are doing "invite a friend" I *think* it is for a 3 month deal, 1 free month and no registration fee, so it ends up being $40 for 3 months. Anyone can use the link if you would like to check out the new program. (If you click the link it gives you the details.) www.weightwatchers.com/us/checkout/iaf/?iaftoken=e3f75edb-9

Thank you all for your input, support, and encouragement! I needed all of it! I am thrilled that 💚 (Smart Points) is back. Before I found Smart Points, it had been well over a decade since WW or calorie-counting had worked for me. Once the Smart-Points tracker went away, I tried calorie-counting with an eye to the nutrient counts, but, for me, getting the mix of carbs to fats to protein just right is critical. And SP did it. Lets hope it works again.
I'll get started and keep you posted!

I got the food I could afford. I am getting enough protein. I gained 4 lb at WW today. But starting over today.

I just joined. WW seems to think I should be on the Blue plan but I know I want to be on the green plan. Any one know where to make that switch? I'll keep hunting for the setting.
