My husband is a diabetic and for years we have been using the brown sugar blend when a recipe calls for brown sugar. Imagine my surprise today to find that the real deal sugar is lower in calories, carbs and sugars and provides 7 % of your daily calcium recommendation, while Splenda provides none. So go ahead and enjoy this recipe with REAL brown sugar for only 4 SP per muffin: labs.pbrc.edu/metabolic-kitchen/recipes/blueberry-peach-crisp/default.htm

Wow sunshinep396 you should post this on the general board, who would have thought this? I just looked on the APP and 17 calories for a teaspoon of real versus 20 for the blend.

Someone has pointed out to me that the Splenda Brown Sugar Blend should be used in 1/2 portion to what the recipe calls for in brown sugar. That would make a difference.
