Good morning.
This thread is for anyone that has been away from WWs, had a gain, and is recommitting to the program. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. We love to use first names here, so tell us yours when you post.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes it is harder to keep it off and even if we fail, we keep trying, which is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, I count on talking to you guys each day and I am blessed to count you as friends! We welcome old and new friends, please come and join us.

Good morning.
It isn't DSS that is upset it is DIL who is upset. She stays mad at me though. She contacted DH yesterday about it. She won't contact me directly. DSS just kind of goes along with whatever DIL is currently saying or doing. I had been trying to kind of go along with everything this year because she lost her GM this past summer and they were very close. This is her first year without GM during the holidays so I know it is a tough year for DIL. But she is very entitled and she is spoiled and very immature. I had planned to go to the play when it was Christmas Eve - heck we changed our WHOLE holidays this year so we could be HERE and not NC on Christmas day.
I am not sure if I had mentioned it but my parents have decided they want to move to VA now, if I can find them an apartment to live in that they can afford. I am fine with them moving here IF we can find them an apartment. At this point I do not have the space for them to move in with us. So on top of everything else I am trying to find an apartment for my parents.
Work is busy with end of the year budget issues. They did decide to give us Friday as a holiday this year and just told us yesterday which gives me an extra vacation day to use by the end of the year. That is nice. I was going to take Friday as a vacation day. I have decided to take 12/30 as a vacation day instead which means I will get 2 four day weekends in a row
Sorry to be so grumpy but everything is starting to get to me - and it is a busy week this week.

Jana - Yay for your extra VAC day and 2 - 4 day weekend in a row! That's awesome! I hate that the discord is happening with DIL. It sounds like she's creating drama where there doesn't need to be any. Not much you can do about that without causing a rift in the family - especially since DSS just goes along with whatever she puts out there - probably the easiest way for him to get by. In that manner it's kind of similar to my father and his wife. He just takes on whatever attitude she adopts and won't even address her actions, no matter how often I try to gently point out that I'm not the issue here. So frustrating! About the only thing you can really do is just hang in there until she matures and works through her issues. And they do seem to be HER issues, not yours. We know you adore those babies.
I hope everything works out with your parents. I know apt. hunting is just one more added stress for you, during an already difficult time. Many hugs. We love ya girl!

Good morning everyone -
I'm back from my parents' place. It always feels weird to be there because of a few reasons so I'm glad to be back in my own space. The kids had a good time at our Christmas and I think they really liked their gifts. :-) I didn't eat terribly because there wasn't much snacking going on - which is good - but I definitely didn't get enough water even though I tried. There is well-water at my parents' place and I've never liked it - they have water filters around but I tend to bring bottled water anyway.
I got back yesterday afternoon and was trying to unpack and do some laundry - got my sheets changed and did two loads of clothes but that's all. I'm only working today and tomorrow so it's not like I need a whole week's worth of clothes anyway.
Busy day today at work - so I'll check back in. Andi - I use a keurig at home but I'm hoping to get off my caffeine-in-the-morning habit in the next two weeks.

Amanda good luck kicking that caffeine habit - I just gave up trying to give up coffee. I only drink water and coffee during the day. I have had 1 soda in 18 months and I really do not like the taste of crystal light anymore. I have tried other things so that I would have something other than water and coffee to drink but I can't find anything that is not carbonated that I like the taste of. Everything has the artificial sweetener in it and my stomach is more sensitive to that than regular sugar. So I am sticking with my 2 to 3 cups of coffee a day. LOL
Now that being said - I do enjoy an alcoholic beverage on the weekends from time to time but since that is not an every weekend thing - it doesn't count. LOL
I think if I would make myself find some time to exercise between now and this weekend it would really help my anxiety I am having. I am just not sure when I will have time. Maybe after I drop DGK off on Friday - but I know I am going to be tired from trying to keep up with them all day on Friday.
Before my cruise I felt so much better when I was exercising. My mood was greatly improved. I even remember being agitated over something one day (I can't remember what it was) and I left right after work and did a 4 mile brisk walk and I felt so much better afterwards. I don't know if it was the hour I had to myself to breath and reflect on the situation or the endorphins from the exercise but afterwards I remember feeling so much calmer. I definitely want to get back into an exercise routine starting sooner rather than later.

Jana, is your event tomorrow something that your DH is going to with you, or is he able to go to the Christmas pageant? Perhaps he should speak up about this? BTW, I always find it funny that his name is the same as mine, and I am sure you do too. Sorry about the anxiety, I am definitely having that now too. Hope all works out with your parents.
Amanda, glad you enjoyed that trip to your parents. I can understand it having issues surrounding the visit. Do they live in the house you grew up in?
Andi, I am glad I am not the only one who didn't answer the coffee maker question. I use a Keurig at home too. I keep a french press as a back-up, but then have to have ground coffee. It's very messy though, so as a one cup, if you aren't happy with what you have, I would get another keurig.
I usually drink 2 cups of coffee a day, my first being a dark roast, my 2nd a flavored coffee. Just a silly habit I got into. The only diet soda I like now is Fresca, and I like lemonade Crystal Light. Can you see a trend? It has to be the citrus.

Jana I think you all know that soda is my downfall. But the caffeine thing as a whole - I am going to Iceland in March and I believe we have free breakfast at our hotel each day but I just don't want to have to worry about headaches or anything just in case.
RobinS - my parents now live at what was my grandparent's house. So that's probably another piece of my impatience and discomfort - I was in the house a lot growing up but it wasn't where my room was and such. So it still feels weird to me to be there.
I'm realizing how many small work things I have to get done by end of day tomorrow. I was pretty productive between 8:30 and 10 this morning so I hope I can be focused like that again tomorrow! I may even come in a little early if I get out of bed on time in the morning. I also have lots of little things to do at home.

Jana - thank for the copy & paste on the forum theme settings. I tried a couple - 'Tis the Season almost blinded me....Lol. Right now I'm on Holiday Glow, but that may not stick. Fun that we can swap it up though
Amanda - I've just recently (in the lst couple of weeks) transitioned myself off of diet soda (again). Now I'm drinking only coffee in the moring and unsweet tea or water the rest of the day. I'm not sure it's making a lot of difference, because my eating has been pretty sketchy, but I have noticed a reduction in my sugar cravings - so that's always helpful.

Hi ROs...whew... got to PT at 8:00 (even a little early), then stopped to pick up a couple Christmas gifts (while DH sat in the car), then to Cracker Barrel. I just finished wrapping a bunch of gifts then found 2 more packages from Amazon on the porch - ha. DH is resting and I am going to do the same in a few minutes since I have my book club Christmas gathering tonight.
Lora - yippee for today being your Friday.
Jana - I just hate conflict and hard feelings...it stresses me out so much that I will do anything to prevent it/fix it and you have done the same with making sure you are here for Christmas. I think you have gone out of your way to accommodate her just try not to worry about it (easier said than done I know). HUGS! Enjoy the extra day off!
Amanda - I don't think it matters where you are, it is always good to be home! When I was a kid we had well water and it had sulfur in it - smelled horrible, but the funny thing was that when it was refrigerated, it was fine...weird.
Robin - I always start the day with my latte and sometimes I will have another cup, but not often...I did enjoy a cup of black coffee at Cracker Barrel today though.

Do any of you use the WW phone app to track your food? I used to love it but I recently updated it and I can't type my food in now. When I try to do a "Quick Add" I can type in the points, but it will not let me type in words to describe the food - I am so frustrated. It works fine on my computer. I asked tech help from WW and that didn't help much. I even deleted the app and reinstalled it...did not help

Robins DH is able to go to the play and he will still attend. He wasn't going to my event. My DD may also go to the play but she hasn't decided. I wish DH would step in but I know he won't. Or if he did, he would just say something to his son and IF he told DIL I would still be the bad guy. I don't want to just not see DGK because that hurts me and them and doesn't really do anything to change the situation. I am not sure what to do to resolve this situation. She isn't mature enough to try to sit her down and just talk, she would get defensive.
Lora not sure I like any of the themes. Makes it hard on the eyes. I like any sort of option though and it was fun to play with

Jana, sounds like you just have to chalk that up to she is what she is, and you will have to deal with it. If she were his daughter, then I could understand. Not really that I would think it was the right way to act, but that you know what's behind it, but as a DIL? It must be just her then.
Susie, I will check my WW app and see if I can figure it out. Do you want to quick add points instead of finding the item and tracking? I know it changed, but I have been really on and off with tracking lately, a lot more off than on, but do really want to get back to it.
