This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

So creative today! Oh well. It's lovely here today ahead of a return to winter for the weekend. Snow? Gotta love NC in springtime.
I'm back to the grindstone today, but the light at the end of this first tunnel is beginning to get a bit stronger. Of course when I finish the audit I'll be three months behind on everything else, but I'll worry about that later.
I'm wishing hard for a miracle Lynne. Thinking of you often.
Shari, I'm so excited for your first looking trip! Do let me know if I can share any insight with you. I've been in the area more than 30 years! Wow! Seems like just yesterday I found my first apartment in the "city". And the population has more than doubled since then!
T, I'm excited for your upcoming break and hope it gives you some much needed down time. Regardless of the fact I'll be so behind at work once I get past the audit I'm looking forward to a 4-day trip to Charleston immediately afterwards. That's keeping me going for now!
Got to run. Have a great day all!

Good morning Susan! Quick hello to all!
Still suffering in the 80+ degree heat in our offices. There are rumors that next week might bring the end to our melting - fingers crossed!
I'm way behind getting ready for our audit, Susan. And our Budget office is pressuring us to finish with our year end entries so they can do their final transfers and such. Auditors will be here in force in about 6 1/2 weeks.
Better run and get some stuff done before the masses show up and the interruptions start. Have a great day everyone!

Yay. I got tapatalk back on my phone. I'm so happy to have it accessible.
This morning I got up at 5 to get all organized and be ready for all the things I wanted to get done. At 7 dd1 called that her Dh was sick, very sick and could I pick up the three babies and keep them today. Unlike Nancy the idea of my usual two toddlers and an infant strikes terror in my heart. I had to rush and do chicken chores. I had no delusion about doing WORK with them there.

It made me late by a bit to meet DD at her workplace making her late for her job. She seemed exasperated with my saying I had time get it done BEFORE since I knew I couldn't with them there. She said "Goodwill grief mother, you raised three yourself." Not thinking I wish I'd said "yes, but you did all the work." She was the eldest.
I'm at her house with them all. She will get home from work in an hour to take them to the school concert. I will take SBJ home with me as both his parents work late tonight.
I have to pick up baby chicks an hour from home tomorrow so dsil better be able to keep 4 month old.

Finally back home.
Left to do errands before ww mtg. Oh darn, my fave foodcart was just opening up as I was heading to meeting. Only ate half of it. The remainder will be bfast tomorrow.
Made a last minute decision to donate blood. Didn't realize it had been 3 yrs since last donation.
DH got home shortly after I did. Heading to kitchen very shortly - hashbrowns with onion/peppers in them along with fried eggs.
Hope all the sickies go away soon. Audits go away with good results.
Weather people say tomorrow should be able to see some sun. Can't wait to see some sunshine.
Toodles. Sending HUGS to all.... martha
