January 1 I found a budget friendly plan and 22 point plan in Green. But to lose I have to start moving. Today already I did 8 minutes of WATP. I had to stop totally out of breath snd my knee acting up. Next Wednesday my knee is drained and get a cortisone shot. I hope to do 8 minutes WATP 3 times more today.
Madison Wisconsin (263.6/212.6/150) restarting September 11' 2021. 30 points green starting today wearing a fit bit but cant excursive yet.
Its official. I am back on plan. Life has been out of control for me for a long time. Ever since I read about the change in plans (in early November?), I've been thinking about changes including switching back to WW (green). The start of a new month/year/decade seems as good a time as any.
I am really excited about gaining the control over my body, my weight, my life, and my stress.
amyrs maybe your doctor can give you a referral to a nutritionist? I know you are on a tight budget, they might be able to help you plan meals with more balance to them and work within your budget parameters. All of the WW plans have sample menus, and if you check out the Green plan you will see they want you to aim for 30. I am worried you aren't getting enough variety in your diet to meet all of your nutritional needs and concerned.
You keep switching between purple and green and haven't been able to find your groove. I hate to see you struggling without really giving the plan a try as written. I know we all would be happy to help you plan out a realistic budget/GHG friendly plan if you want the help, but if not I do hope you would at least let your doctor know you need some help with meal planning. Again, we are all just worried about you,
Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate...
I overate some over the holidays so I need to stop giving myself permission to do that. I plan on getting back to my every day eating. My goal starting in July of a year is to focus so I am still maintaining at the end of the year for my goal anniversary. Now my goal is to get through winter (which I have problems with due to my winter depression) and be maintaining at my first WW meeting in April.
DotRen , Crazy, isn't it! The way I see it is the Green Plan is for those of us who need to avoid sugar and carbs. If we want to eat it, we get nicked - big time! I'm only on Day 3. But after a period of time attempting to lose weight by just counting calories, I'm here to confirm, again, that its not just about calories. And this confirms why SmartPoints worked so extraordinarily well for me. On Wednesday - Day 1 - I wanted to reach for those snacks I could have on a calorie-counting plan without giving up a large portion of my calories. Aha! Not so fast.
Lets take that innocent holiday candy cane. Only 50 calories out of 1200 on the calorie counting plan - not so bad. On the Green Plan - 3 points! No way am I giving up one-tenth of my daily points for a stinkin' candy cane! LOL. (I didn't lose much weight calorie-counting, even though I tried to avoid sugar/carb eating.)
I am so thrilled that they brought back this plan. The first three days are always the hardest for me. So far, so good. I look forward to expunging some of the excess fluff around my middle!
I'd LOVE a cookie! But I might as well just slap that cookie right on my hip!
