stillness , I'm surprised "Mindy" didn't call you for an interview about how fantastic the program is lol LOL! At the very least, I would have expected one of those little pop-up messages...."are you sure you lost 106 pounds in 7 days"?

I had a really good weigh in yesterday. Not only did I take off all the holiday weight I had gained but I lost .8!! I'm loving the green plan even though I'm counting points for things I didn't used to when I was on the blue plan. I just need that extra accountability.

vicki1953, WTG! There was a FB discussion about freestyle and I commented that WW must have thought people would use common sense about portions on zero foods- and I got totally chewed out! I was told it wasn't common sense because WW said they were "zero"... uh yeah. ok. lol.

Haven't posted much lately. The last few weeks have been hectic with holidays and we are finishing up a 6 month long remodeling program on our house. For the last couple of weeks in December I just ate horribly. I did not track points at all as I was so far in the hole. I did track calories on MFP. But it was bad. In the 5 days between 12/22 and 12/27 I went up 5.4 pounds on the scale. Yikes! Of course I know that most of that is not "real" weight gain. Things got better after that, but I didn't really get back to counting points again until this week (my week started on Sunday).
So far it has been a good week. I have two more days in my week (today and Saturday) and I have 25 weekly points left. I ate low the first couple of days of the week and rolled over some points then have used some of those the past couple of days. We will go out to eat on Saturday so I will have plenty of points available. If I stay within my calorie range it is usually pretty easy to stay with my points.
On the sugary snack thing - I do not overall eat a lot of sugar. I typically try to stay below 26 g of a sugar a day (including natural sugar) and most days I do that pretty easily. I do eat some snacks that while not high sugar are, well, kind of junky. I like a lot of the WW snacks nowadays (they used to be terrible) and I enjoy eating them. Most of them are not super high sugar (although they have some) but are junky. But, I enjoy them. They aren't all of my snacks. I do have to watch how many of them I eat.
The two things I am working on right now to help with nutrition is really working to get in more veggies/fruit (especially veggies as I like them more than fruit) and getting in at least 80 g of protein each day. When I do that I eat fewer junk snacks.
Anyway, since Sunday I am down 3.3 pounds so I am happy enough with that. And, our remodeling should be done early next week which will be a big relief as things have really been turned upside down for the last 6 months.

I was down 1.6 from my December WI. vicki1953 and DotRen WTG on your losses. DotRen I have been reading FB posts on one blue group and I was pleasantly surprised people were telling others to watch their portion sizes. At least some of them have common sense. At my December meeting the leader was talking about the difference between serving sizes listed on NI and what our serving sizes should be and most of them are doing blue.

DotRen, Weight Watchers were part of the problems because their policy was that those that work for them could not mention serving sizes. There were no meeting about servings sizes, no meeting about eating until satisfied. Now they have a poster in the studio that show have to judge serving sizes.

DotRen, Again complaining about WW and Free Style: both leaders I had during it mentioned/mentions that WW has research that says people don't overeat on the zero-point food. I think I've heard my leader saying this since the program change so they haven't backed off from that. Obviously that isn't true since people didn't lose or gained weight on Free Style.

bbbearsmom, I agree, I think it was too lenient and people didn't use common sense about portions. I remember people saying they were eating 5 apples and 3 bananas a day along with pounds of chicken, etc and then crying that the program didn't work.

DotRen, borntexan, I heard the same thing happened when they added fruit as zero point when they introduced the Points Plus program.

I agree with people not using common sense when it came to eating the zero point foods. I'm not sure what WW told their facilitators to say about eating them at the meetings, but my WW leader always talked about eating those foods with moderation. She would always say that just because they're zero points doesn't mean they're free! But she's always been a bit of a WW rebel.
I'm still doing well on the green plan and anxious to see what the scale has to say at my meeting on Thursday.

I only weigh once a month, but I am feeling really good with my food choices. Still relatively low-carb but I am adding foods like carrots, apples, small amount of sweet potato, low-carb tortillas, and things like that, and using how I physically feel (cravings, bloated, etc) as a guide.

I'm semi-excited, we just had an Olive Garden open locally. Usually it's not one we go to because the closest one is an hour away. What are your favorite OG dishes? I know I could live off their salad alone. The last time we went, I asked about the light dressing and they had it!
Been doing well on the plan, I really like that I can include my healthy fats and plenty of protein on Green.

DotRen, Have fun going to Olive Garden. I haven't been in years so I have no idea on what to suggest.
