This is a monthly thread for those of us who have a lot of weight to lose. The definition of “a lot” is something that is determined personally, so everyone who feels they have a lot of weight to lose is welcome to post here.
Please join us in offering support, checking in for accountability, help with questions, etc. We’re in this for the long haul.
We’d also love to hear from those of you who are maintaining a large loss. We need those tips to help us to keep the weight off once we lose it

Hi all. Happy New Year. I have 95 pounds to lose. part of me wishes I could do it by December 31 2020. more like 50 pounds a year. Today I start over. I found a budget friendly 22 point Green plan to eat. I vow to do WATP each day., I did 8 minutes WATP to start with today already. I was out of breath so I stopped at that point. I plan to do that 3 more times today if I have time. At least once more. I ordered a rebounder which long ago used to jog on. The maximum weight is 220. I will wait till I am in good shape with WATP. the rebounder is paid in 6 equal payments. I will have paid for it before I ever use it. I got a non folding rebounder. I may wait till I am 150 before I go 0on rebounder. weigh 245 now. the problem with the WATP is not only that I am out of shape. My knee acts up. a week from today I go to DR to get liquid drained out of my knee. I get a cortisone shot too. I hope that will help me do more WATP without pain. I also ordered a motorized mini cycle. It has to be put together as does the rebounder. I will sit in a chair or on my bed to use that. That I will start once it arrives and someone helps put it together. I have arthritis in my lower back. Overweight I feel it. Less weight not so much. I feel that when doing WATP after 5 minutes now. I must lose weight. Off to do the second 8 minutes WATP.

I'm ready to get my eating back under control. I've enjoyed 'here and there' over the holidays, but I haven't felt my best

Hello Everyone - HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Hope this is a happy and healthy year for all of us amrys - Thanks for starting our thread You're doing great to exercise with your health issues. I've always read that any little bit of exercise is better than none. Hopefully you'll feel better after your appointment for your knee. DotRen - I'm sure you can get back in control. It's amazing how eating badly does make us feel bad, isn't it? I'm still working the 100 Day Challenge and I've added tracking back into my day, I'd slacked off for several months. I hope to increase my fruits and vegetables this month too. Take care everyone!

Good morning and Happy New Year!!
Amy, thanks for our start. I remember how you use to do your walking in segments.
dotren, sounds like you did pretty well over the holidays. It's nice to have some things and be in control.
cj, I am still trying to get use to the 100 day challenge. Tuesday I did pretty well. Now to get back at it. Nice you added tracking back in.
waving to all

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today sunrose - Hope you enjoyed jazzercise today. I hope you like the 100 day challenge. It keeps me motivated to meet my daily goals but I don't feel like a "failure" when I have a day that is not 100% good. I just put the smiley on the page and work towards the next day. I have to keep remembering to track, it's amazing how quickly I got used to not doing it after doing it for over 3 years every day

Good morning
cj, thanks for what you said. Being new with the challenge is not 100% yet (not even close), but it does make me think I need to do it which is more than I have done over the past year or so.
Amy, good luck counting calories.
Waving to all
Jazzercise was great yesterday. Have to miss today due to a doctor appointment. Hope everyone is doing well.

amyrs, DotRen, cj59, sunrose49, good morning! Still a little off my routine since Ron is home until Monday. Taking Murray for a checkup this morning. He's been doing great (knock on wood) but I think he's put some weight back on with the diet change. I'm not too concerned about that, he's been a couch potato over the winter lol -he'll be more active in the spring and lose a few pounds.

Hello Everyone amyrs - good luck with the calorie counting. sunrose - hope your doctor's appointment went well. DotRen - Hope the vet said Murray is doing well. I'm doing alright I guess I did finally "bite the bullet" and weighed myself this morning. I probably haven't done that for a few months. It was not a pretty number on the scale, that's for sure But it's time to face reality. Hopefully I can get on a better eating schedule soon. It just feels all out of whack for me, and I think what I'm doing is just allowing me to maintain my current weight and not lose anything. I just get tired thinking about working on weight loss again so I hope I can find something that will seem like less work to me and more like a natural way to eat every day. Hope everyone else checking in is doing well. I'd love to hear from wwlurker and irisinnia and anyone else I've missed Take care everyone and have a great weekend!

cj59 Ask and you shall receive 😉😂 Sending from my phone so I can’t see all your posts but it sounds like people are working hard on walking, weight loss, 100 day challenges, and taking care of Murray! I forgot about the hundred day challenge until you mentioned it, but I’ve been doing great actually! I’ve been tracking every day. I had to set 3 alarms everyday to get me to do it, but hey, it’s working and it’s worth it. Driving home from a family vacation so I hope to check in with you all tomorrow! Good luck on your journeys!

lol well Murray was still "the happiest dog at the vet". Until ... he's a "ladies man" and the male vet (that he has never met) was his vet today. Went well until the vet said "turn around" and gave him a little shove. Murray didn't like that, so he snarled at the guy (smart guy -backed way off since you don't want 110 pounds of teeth in your face). I grabbed Murray by the muzzle and told him "no" and he calmed right down but the vet was skittish after that. Weight is up 2 pounds, and there may be a thyroid check in June for his next visit since he's also lost some hair on his tail. He had a big blow out (double coated dogs lose a lot of hair 2x a year)and the hair is coming back, so it may be just that. Vet said if it's not grown in in a few months they can do a blood test and see if he has a low thyroid (weight, hair loss, all signs of it). Other than that, he's healthy as a horse

Good morning
cj, you'll get the weight moving in the right direction. I with you on thinking about it too much and I really do not like tracking anymore. But I know it is key.
irisinnia, good idea on the alarm to track your food! Good to see you.
dotren, well that Vet should not have pushed Murray ;-) Glad he is doing good though.
Amy, I hope the TM works for you. I think it is a good idea. WTG with the 7 floors!!
Waving to anyone I missed
Off to my WW meeting this morning. I know I will have a slight gain. For some reason I over eat the night before WI. So stupid.

I am starting over today January 5. I am getting nonfat Dannon quarts of vanilla yogurt. I will have 2 cups a day. And 2 cups of chili. and ordered bags of oranges. 31 green points. Will be delivered this morning. The treadmill comes Monday and is assembled Tuesday. I just ordered a water rower with a high enough stand I can use it. The water simulates rowing. I used to love rowing. It comes Wednesday and assembly Thursday. I am excited I have 2 exercises I can do. both 18 month equal payments. I did not eat terribly the last few days but did not feel good. waffles 2 bagels with butter. I did not eat them to excess though. I ordered the food with Chase and warranties and assembly etc. A caregiver Bobby is coming. she alternates with Vanessa Sundays.
