I made it here too!!!! Got a few minutes done on the slouchy hat.... Ruth so glad that you got the directions ok....have fun with the hat! It's so easy.

I'm glad to see everyone made it. I think I saw Meg on another thread at least I hope she made it here.
Oh I forgot about the picture thing. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get pictures on my computer to download to here. Dh usually takes all the pics and he puts them on his computer which is a desk top. I have a laptop and a tablet...no smart phone...well I have one that ds sent that he had used in the past but I have no clue how to get the pics to my email there. I tried because dh took some of the great grandboys but we haven't figured out how to get them to anywhere else yet. We don't use it as a phone. In fact, to tell you the truth, we don't use it at all. I don't even know how to download apps. I wanted a phone for our local grocery store app beccause they had good buys if you had the app on a smart phone but I guess a lot of people including me, complained because now you can download the coupons or cut them out and use the paper ones.
Gonna finish the hat this evening and start on a hat. Thanks again, Ginny for the pattern. It's great and I'm greatful

Hi everyone, I registered this morning but I had a busy day and did not have time to linger. I went out to lunch today and got my cards mailed off. I have a few errands which I might do tomorrow. I seem to be on the run a lot lately. I have almost finished on b/blanket just finishing the border, Then I have to do the border on another one and finish knitting the 3rd. So they will all be finished around the same time. No needlework today.

CJ- hope that you are able to accomplish all that you want and have to this week. We look forward to hearing from you when you can join us.
Meg, glad you were able to find us! Congrats on getting your cards mailed, sometime today or tomorrow, I hope to finish ours and mail them also. Congrats on getting the border almost done on the one aghan....you had mentioned that borders were not your favorite part of playing with yarn.
Phy-- glad you were able to join us here!!!
Ruth- I will see if I can figure out the picture thing- but that will probably not happen today. SO glad you like that hat pattern- you are flying through that first hat....what color are you making? So far, I have made 2 in off white/cream and one in brown.
Only got a few minutes hooking in yesterday. Did not sleep well last night - so who knows what today will bring.
I will play with attaching a picture...

It's Tue morning and I have to get out of here. I have a few errands to do, I need to find something for Janet. She is not an easy person to buy for. I can buy her clothes but I want to find something fun for her and she is so limited in what she can do. I will probably try to find a few movies for her that are suitable. I got the new Bridget jones movie which comes out today This one is Bridget Jones's Baby. My DGD ordered it for my b/day and it should come in the mail today.
No needlework yesterday. Hopefully I can find time to relax and work on something today.

I was going to say good morning but it's 2:30 here already. Time flies.
This morning I left my laptop downstairs so that I would be forced to do something else so I finished the scarf and now finally have them both done except for the fringe. I'll do that today.
Ginny,no I didn't even start the hat yet but will this evening and plan to even finish one this evening....after I do the scarf fringe and do my cards. I don't send many but I do like to put in a note and even a full letter to those I don't contact during the year. I could do like my one friend and put a short note on the card and say I'll write after Christmas...she never ends up writing after Christmas.Some of my friends are getting up there in years and are a lot older than I am and some are not in good health. Some are a lot older and still in great health but I always think that i'll be sending someone a card and they'll be deceased.
It's colder today but now wind again. Yesterday dh made a fire in the wood stove and I was also cooking and baking so between the stove and the oven it was nice and warm in the house.
As for the color of the hat, I have some nice lilac color yarn I might do one in and I also have some nice wool ease yarn in variegated kinda mauve...ish colors ...forget what the color is called. I'm going to make at least two and three if I have time then two hats for men in the family. I might use the same pattern for the one for 26 yr old dgs as he is into slouchy hats...he's a hat person.Plain hat for sil.
Do all of you wear hats? I'm not a hat person myself. I don't think I look good in hats.And I don't like the way hats feel on my head.
Sounds like all of you are busy. Take time to relax and enjoy the season and the true meaning of Christmas

Hello Crafters - hope you are all doing well today meg - hope you found a gift for Janet. Ruth - those yarn colors sound nice. I like crocheted hats, but I don't think I look good in them either. choney and phyl - hope you are doing well. I got all my plumbing issues resolved, such a nice feeling after they've been bad for awhile. After they left I worked on my Christmas cards and got them all done and taken to the Post Office. That is such a relief to me, I always stress myself out putting off doing them each year! No time for crafting today, but maybe some later this week. Take care! |

Hi cj, I did get some last min gifts but not for Janet. Perhaps tomorrow. I don't want to be out shopping next week as I know the lines and the parking will be terrible. I am glad you gat the plumbing taken care off. Getting the cards off is a relief so it sounds like you are getting things done. good for you.
No needlework again today/ Now I am off to bed. Good night until tomorrow. |

Hello Everyone - hope you are all doing well today I had the serviceman here for the furnance today, so that's done for the year. I think that's the last of things I need done right now. I haven't had time for any crafting but need to cut some fabric tomorrow to be ready for a class I'm taking on Saturday. It's for a Lone Star quilt using the Quiltsmart method. |

Good morning Ladies. Meg sorry you didn't get all your shoppig done and have to go out again. I'm hoping to go out tomorrow but it may snow a lot so we'll see.
I still didn't get my Christmas cards done nor do I have the fringe on the scarves yet. And I haven't started the hat that Ginny was so kind to send me the pattern for. I better get going. Only 11 more days till Christmas and the cards have to be done before that of course. I was going to go down to the mailbox today but dh says wait since you want to go out tomorrow anyway. We don't like to use the vehicles for such short trips. It's not good for the battery or for a vehicle in general.

Well we all sound like a bunch of tired people....which is a very true statement for me! Guess everyone has the Christmas crunch issues now- trying to get everything done in time for Christmas.
Ruth, I send out half of my cards today (some are better than none!) and hope to get the rest out in a day or so. So sorry I got confused about the hat, and thought you had starred one. They do go quickly....your colors sound so pretty. I am not a hat person, but if it's that cold out I will wear one. I do hope to make one of these for myself.
Meg, well it sounds as though little by little you are getting your shopping done. I hope you are able to find something suitable for Janet. Cannot blame you for not wanting to shop next week either!
CJ- bet you have quite a feeling of accomplishment getting all these household repairs/maintenance done. I have never heard about the quilt smart method- but would love to hear about it. Bet it will feel good to play with fabric again! Are you excited about taking the class?
Busy day here- went to work and then did some shopping with Dh. I just found out we are babysitting again tomorrow (I was looking forward to a quiet morning home). Hope I sleep well tonight and get my energy back tomorrow.
