I'm sorry I don't feel up to personals tonight.First of all thanks to everyone for their hugs and prayers.
I am so happy to have finally found a good ortho surgeon that not only do I like and trust but so does DH.We didn't get home until 3:30 by time we were through with the surgeon's office, eating lunch out and buying groceries.
I have a knee replacement scheduled for March 9.I already have the pre and post surgery appointments scheduled with the doctor. We do have to find people to help us out with taking us to the hospital, getting DH back home the first night when I'm released plus a class that's mandatory before surgery.I will more than likely be in the hospital 2 days.Home health will come to the house for 2-3 weeks after I come home and then I will go back to the Elgin PT clinic after that.
The x-ray showed several bone spurs inside the knee which will greatly improve the pain after those are taken out.He also took an x-ray of my hips and there is a little arthritis in them but not bad.He showed me an x-ray of a man that he did a knee replacement on yesterday whose knee wasn't near as bad as mine and the change was amazing.
Bee LOL on taking your walker for a walk.
June Continued prayers for you and R.
Susi He did give me some Meloxicam to take once a day with food.I will continue that for 30 days.

Becky, Iโm so glad you and your husband both have faith in your surgeon. Your recovery plan sounds exactly like mine. The first week is tough but improves after that so plan easy meals, tv shows to watch and books to read to get you through week 1. You have lots of time to plan. Try to stay off your feet as much as possible so as not to cause more pain. Ann, I will do the same as you today. Dinner will be grilled fish, salad for me and soft vegetables for Bob. La Donna, happy birthday to your DD.

Thanks LaDonna.Happy Birthday to DD.
Saturday I can take care of Becky and get back on plan.It wasn't too bad today.I had never had blackened fish tacos with black beans before and I loved it.Worth every point. The beans were 0 points but the 2 tacos were 14 points.I don't believe I have ever eaten 14 points for lunch.Grilled chicken salad for dinner after that.
Thanks Audrey.I plan to take care of myself better for awhile.

Prayers answered, Becky. Having a surgeon that you both like and trust is more than half the battle. He sounds on the ball with scheduling the other appointments. Praying that you and DH get the help you need.
Sleep well.

Popping in quickly Ha ha ha... while I was posting personals on Friday's thread you all were busy here.
Just a quickie post here- Becky-- wonderful news!
R's surgery went smoothly. Nerve block still in effect. R says that feels weird. But I am glad that he is pain free for now. No surprise. . . I passed out on the couch for an hour tonight. Tonight he is taking it easy. Hope he has a good night. His nurse, too
thanksfor the prayers

Today I will: write it down, track points & ghg's, move more than yesterday
I went to bed last night at 10 and slept till 8. Feel MUCH better than the past three mornings. Now, to sleep early tonight. This morning I woke from a dream in which I was walking with my daughter-in-law and her father came out of the house to join us. Her father died this past year. Not sure whether to tell her about the dream or not. He looked healthy and had a smile on his face. He was wearing gray blue sweatpants and t op with hoodie on. I have never dreamed about him before.
Today the sun is shining and I plan to boil more drinking water, might do laundry, will come up with meals to eat. I might soak more beans to cook and should run the dishwasher a couple of times since more pots, pans, plastic adn dishes seem to have piled up again.
ANN: Thank you for the comment and prayers for my granddaughters and their dealing with the loss of Biggie. The cat was ALL my eldest GD wanted for her birthday so it is even more sad to have had him for only a few months. Interesting that the day after Chinese food you are hungry. I find I am thirsty after eating out - always wonder if it is the salt or garlic or???
BECKY: I am thrilled that you have found an orthopedic surgeon you and your husband trust. It sounds like he was thorough in his examination and forthcoming in giving you information. Your plan sounds good. Who will you get to assist with the driving? Your black beans and tacos sounds delicious! I would use a motorized scooter, wheelchair or order groceries for pickup to avoid pain!
LADONNA: How fun to celebrate your DD's birthday together! Did you have the bonfire? DO you have a pit outside or???
AUDREY: Great advice for Becky on the upcoming surgery. Your meal sounds tasty. Your plans for the dinner out are wise...you always sound wise when it comes to planning for meals. Thanks for the hugs for Biggie and my GD's.
BEE: Glad you slept well...it makes such a difference to get enough sleep! I am glad you took your walker for a stroll
JUNE: YOU made me smile saying you hope R and his nurse have a good night I have not seen anything on Facebook or Instagram about Biggie the rescue cat. My guess is that if we are able to talk on Sunday we will hear then. Wise plan for food while waiting at the hospital.
MJ: Thanks for caring about Biggie the rescue cat. I am not going to mention Biggie when we talk Sunday but have a feeling one of the granddaughters will say something. How many did you end up with for brunch?
SUSI: You are right that it is never easy to euthanize a furry family member. Thank you. I have never been to a Pampered Chef party...
PAM: Hooray for another Blue Dot Day with plenty of steps gotten in.

Good morning, Ann - Becky - LaDonna - Audrey - Bee - June - Cathy - and AWF!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer... and for Son#1, who is slowly getting better (yes, it might go faster if he'd go slower).
Extra prayers for R and his nurse... glad things look good so far.
And more for Becky, that all the non-surgical details (rides, etc) will fall into place for you. I'm so glad that the orthoSurgeon is a good match.

Today's rain has not yet started but the forecast includes thunderstorms <!!!>. Since DBigBro made an early decision to not attend KSMBrunch, we re-negotiated with DBigSis and will go to Charlie Brown's for 11:30-ish. That way we get our Sunday Steak Dinner and stay local, too.
I have my WW workshop at 8 AM. The topic is Tracking Tips and Tricks.
Yesterday afternoon was a bit squirrelly, with the Kressling coming over after school to practice trombone and we being on-duty for MH-ASR (MousekeHouse After-School Routine). So Toots went to get the Mice and I stayed home to pick up Son#1 and the Dominos for the Mice. Then Son#1 took the Kressling and went home, and I went to the MousekeHouse until MissMouse&Spouse got home. As I mentioned late last night, DDIL took the Kressling to his double soccer practice so we ended up having a quiet evening at home.
Tonight's not going to be that. The Kressling and the Zigster will be joining us at some point this evening and will spend the night. K'ling2 has wrestling somewhere across the state tomorrow with an early arrival time. I did suggest to Son#1 that he deliver them "fed" (not that it makes much difference - there's always room for more food at Grandma's, eh?
Coffee... โโโ... breakfast... WW...
๐โ๏ธ๐งโ๏ธ๐๐งโ๏ธ๐ง๐ Have a healthy-eating day, all! ๐โ๏ธ๐งโ๏ธ๐๐งโ๏ธ๐ง๐

Ann - Have a dry day. We too are expecting drenching rains. Becky - So glad you and Kenneth are happy with the surgeon and have been able to get many of the details already set up. Will your church friends be able to help out? I know my church is awesome about that. Glad he gave you something to help with the pain. Happy birthday to Laken, LaDonna. Enjoy the cookout. Oysters are always a good choice! Enjoy your day Audrey Hope your walker enjoyed the walk yesterday Bee. June - Glad it went well. Hope you both get some good rest. Cathy - Hope you get to tackle your list. Interesting dream. You've had crazier schedules, MJ. You know you will feed them anyway. They are growing like weeds. Enjoy Charlie Brown's. I do like their sirloins and salad bar. The party last night was so much fun. He bills himself as "Broadway Chef". He is a Broadway singer/dancer and entertained as he presented the products. Also made broccoli cheddar soup and a sweet roll with Bailey's whipped cream while we were there. Because of where I was sitting, I had little access to the food which was fine. I bought a chef's knife and a 1/4 cup scooper. I am very sore from yesterday morning's class so I will likely skip the gym today. Ferals are fed. I'm making venison stew for dinner with my sister tonight. Rest of the food TBD.

Smart move to skip the gym. Enjoy the meal with you sister. I'm happy to announce that the extra water got rid of the Chinese sodium bloat I stuck to my guns yesterday and plan on doing the same today. Enjoy

Puttering around the house getting ready for Laken's cookout tonight. I just put a big pan of veggies in the oven to roast. I want to try and eat healthy today despite all the "stuff" that will be around. It makes me feel better! Its a chilly day but not too bad 50s but the wind makes it feel cooler. It will be chilly outside tonight but we'll have outside fires going so there will be places to go and warm up. Ann, girl I don't blame you for staying in. A cold day and a great book should make for a nice day Good for you staying OP! Becky, still excited for you that things are working out for you to get your new, pain free knee! Audrey, Hope Bob is feeling well. Sounds like you are taking great care of him. Bee, I'm going to try and keep on a pair of your aware glasses today. We can do this June, how wonderful! Continued well wishes and prayers for you both. Cathy, what an interesting but good dream. I often wonder why I dream the things I dream sometimes. glad you are feeling better. MJ, I know those grands keep you busy but what a blessing to have those rascals I can't wait to have some of that type of chaos in my life. Susi, the party sounds like it was so much fun! I've got a little broadway to look forward to in Feb. I got tickets for Christmas to see Wicked. The play will be in Cola., SC
