This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.
Flying through here. Too much to do to linger. Unpacked. Unready. Trying to hit the road in 2.5 hours and leave behind a clean house for our friends arriving from the east who will be enjoying the run of Mr. and Mrs. T's AirBnB.
Fun finds, Frieda! I have some "vintage" pieces in my house that could use some freshening, but alas, I haven't the patience or vision.
Susan, I hope you made it to the weekend with the ability to turn off the work switch.
Hi weekend CaTs. Spending the day w DD. She's home on break and I have 1000 questions for her about this and that, pack, save, giveaway. We're still at it here. Spent yesterday working w DM in her closet, floor of it filled w box after box of papers and family pictures. Oh, the sorting. Newspaper clippings from the real time of what was later "An American Tragedy" that happened in the Adirondack mtns. Trial held in our county, etc. Every artifact of everything ever, we have.
Going to dinner out tonight so that will be nice. I have some issue going on, thinking maybe hiatal hernia. Chest distress, worse after eating. Trying to eat little bits and see.
T, best wishes for a great reprieve from the knowledge box, as my grampa would call it. Frieda, happy day to you. Love hearing about your treasures as they develop.
Singing the blues after weighing in this morning. An ugly gain awaited me. I've already tracked my intake for today so far. Still have 10 pts for dinner tonight - pork chop with mashed potatoes and veggie of some sort. DH offered me a cookie and I turned it down. I know it is those little steps that will get scale moving in correct direction, but it is hard.
Healthier foods are now in the house.
Have you seen/looked at Oprah's new book/cookbook? I borrowed it from library. I won't be purchasing it. To me, it is missing important parts of cooking and weight loss. Portion sizes aren't given. All nutritional information isn't listed, just the smart points.
