Hey CJ- you are so right that once warmer weather returns, the thought of working on a large project seems cumbersome. I am happy for you that you finished the pillow case and piecing the bow tie blocks. Yes its nice to stay on top of the monthly challenges. Next year (when I am not trying to finish a BOM) I hope to work on a mystery quilt- one where you read a chapter of a book each month and get directions to make a quilt block each month (its $9 a month). At the end of the year you have hopefully solved the mystery and have a quilt.. I will see if I can get a link over here for the pretty cross stitch piece I hope to order. I figure I will need something like that to keep me out of trouble when I finish the pillow case.
Another Monday is around the corner. Going to watch the football game, primarily for the commercials as I am not a big fan of either team. Hey, look what I found.....here is my post!!!!
Just checked and my cross stitch kit is on sale at Joanns. My son gave me a Joanns gift card, and the sale is online only....ha ha ha Guess I will be ordering it this week.
Again its called A Season for Everything. G

Ginny - That is a beautiful cross stitch kit, I'm glad you found it on sale. I think that would be a pleasure to make, hope you enjoy it I was trying to thread a bunch of embroidery needles again, but it sure is difficult. My needle threader doesn't work too well with 3 strands of floss and it's difficult doing it by hand too. I need to see if I have another needle threader that will work better.

The news of the day is snow! There's a foot, and it's just started snowing again.

During the night and earlier today it was up to 50 degrees but weather forcast said it was going to drop dramatically and now up to 12 inches. I haven't been near a window in a few hours so don't know if it's started or not. I guess you got it already, Sue
Ginny, what a great idea to get yourself a birthday present and it's great that you found a kit you really like and on sale with free shipping as well!
I did watch the game off and on. It wouldn't come in on the tv so I watched it on my computer and during commercials and half time read my book. I haven't done any crafting today at all except for carrying a ball of yarn downstairs with me.
CJ the weather in your area sounds perfect. It also sounds like you got a lot accomplised and are right on schedule for completely things. Yes crocheting large items in the summer is definitely a challenge.
