Hello, I am starting yet again, I refuse to quit. I like a forum like this for ideas and support. My name is Ann, I am 66, and I live in New Hampshire. This week was a whirlwind of catching up on DR appointments put off for the pandemic. I got my women's health stuff done and my primary care. Bone density and 'ugh' colonoscopy scheduled. This is part of facing reality and taking charge and responsibility of my health and life. I am journaling every bite on paper and logging it into Fitbit. Tedious but it does keep me mindful. I plan food the day before and fill out the journal, then I have no excuse for grabbing something off program. Today is day 6 and I am ready for it.

Hi everyone! My name is Maria and I have done weight watchers on and off since I was an older teen.... I am now 60 π΅βπ«. I've never been able to keep it off. Right before covid kicked in I lost about 20 lb doing Noom. Needless to say I gained it all back and then some. I tried going back to Noom I just couldn't do it. About 2 months ago my scale actually stopped working, so I don't know exactly how much I weigh though I saw myself in my mother's security video when I put my dogs out, and I definitely look bigger ππ. I'm so tired of the ups and downs of weight gain. So tonight I ordered a scale from Amazon and earlier today signed up here. Now I just have to decide what to do. I was thinking of trying the old core program again. I can't see myself doing points right now, though I've done it many times. I tried core once and I had a little success So I thought I'd try it again! I'm a little disorganized and trying to figure things out still, not starting the diet just yet but I'm trying to prepare for it. It seems like there are a nice bunch of people here! πππΌπ

Hi, I'm Frannie! I've done Weight Watchers several times throughout the years, and I'm starting again. I've been lurking for a couple of days, trying to figure out these new plans. I was on the points before, but don't remember the exact plan name. I've been researching sites all week and have found my points needed (32), and I think I'll be on the purple plan. Was considering joining again but am having second thoughts about it now that there might be some plan changes coming up soon. I am 67 living in Maryland. I am also Diabetic Type 2 so struggle with it. I just went in last week to my doctor for my 6 month check up. I was supposed to loose 10 pounds, but only managed to loose 3 pounds. My AC1 stayed the same. Which was a good thing, but she still wants it to be lower. So, to make a long story short, I'm getting serious about this Weight Loss, so I'm hoping that you all will help me along the way. Also, can someone give the the basics of the purple plan, as I think that's the one that will work for me. Looking forward to getting to know each of you.

Hi frannie !!! So happy to have you join us π€ Here is a quote and link from the WW site to explain the different plans "Green has a sizable SmartPoints Budget and 100+ ZeroPoint foods (fruits and veggies). Blue has a moderate SmartPoints Budget and 200+ ZeroPoint foods (fruits, veggies, and lean proteins). Purple has a modest SmartPoints Budget and 300+ ZeroPoint foods (fruits, veggies, lean proteins, and whole grains)." www.weightwatchers.com/us/blog/weight-loss/myww/how-to-switch-plan-colorsI know over on the General Board we are talking about the possible plan changes coming up at the end of November/ beginning of December but think of the head start you can have if you jump on in now! Another option is to check out itrackbites.com/Whatever you decide to go with, I am glad you introduced yourself and hope to see you over on the daily check in thread on the general board π€

frannie, hi another quick question which plan do you think I should try? Digital NEW! Digital 360 Unlimited Workshops + Digital, I'm not very tech savy, have a smart phone, don't really know how to use it though. But I'm pretty good on my computer?

frannie I'll be honest I haven't had a chance to check out the meal planning section of the app yet, but there is one there. The app has all kinds of help on it. You can even input ingredients you have handy and it will give you recipe ideas. Digital = online access only digital 360 = is digital plus personal online support from coaches And if you are comfortable going into meetings (not sure where you are if your state has opened back up) the last option is unlimited meetings + online. They do offer "zoom" meetings too if you like those. (People are pretty split regarding them) Now as far as using the phone versus computer. They've actually done a pretty good job at updating the WW.com website to make it more "app-like". So if you are comfortable with your computer you'll do fine! I do suggest clicking on everything to learn the program and to get an idea of how to navigate the site. Start with the drop down menu (top right) and click the "myWW+" then click "starter guide". Having said that, if you can use a computer you can use a smartphone, it is just a small computer π once you download the app we can walk you through it but honestly it is pretty self explanatory. Just click on "my color plan" (its location varies depending on which device you have) and they have the walk-through right there. Sorry I didn't see this yesterday! Do me a favor if you have anymore questions just click my name at the top of this box where it says "simple tagging" or click the like button (the thumbs up) on my post so I make sure to see it! You can always find me on the General Board along with a lot of other very helpful members π€ Please don't be afraid to ask questions! I'm not sure what specials they are running right now but they have a "buddy up" program that will give you a free month to check out the program. Here is the link if you want to see what the new program is all about. www.weightwatchers.com/us/checkout/iaf/?iaftoken=e3f75edb-9(anyone reading this can use the link to checkout the new program)

Hi - new here. I had maintained my WW weight (this last time... haha been on and off WW since '98) for 2 years, but covid came and well... yep. My mom just passed in August from covid (she was morbidly obese) and it scared me enough to decide I need to shed these extra pounds... about 30-40#. I didn't have as much success with the new program as I did on Momentum and PP. I am doing itrackbites now (momentum) starting today. I alllmmmooosssttt signed back up for WW, but I think I will wait and see what the new program is before I do that. No meetings near me, anyway. Not sure about virtual meetings. I always had better success going in to meetings and weighing in. Then, my leader changed and she was terrible and so I stopped going :/ Anyway - Hi. Thanks for having me. I figured now was a good time to get back on program so I don't grief eat my way any higher.

Jennerbear, I am not very new here, but I saw this thread, came on here on impulse, and read your post, and wanted to welcome you. I am so sorry about your mom. I gained weight during covid too, and went back to following Pointsplus, my favorite WW plan in the world. Like you, I am going to wait and see about their new plan before I resign up. This is a great group, probably because we have moderators who keep it great! Welcome!

I figured now was a good time to get back on program so I don't grief eat my way any higher. Hello all! I just started back a week or so ago. I had been following the green plan, but it did not take me long to realize I will not lose weight using that plan, so I started tracking my food using itrackbites conquer cravings (Momentum). I have to count every bite. No zero point fruits for me. I do not have too much to lose (about 10-15), but that just means I have to be very diligent about counting things. Anyway, my story is that I gained 10 pounds over the past year. My father passed away, my husband and I moved and we spent most of the year renovating our house and we also had Covid. There have been so many bumps along the way, if I told you all of them, you wouldn't believe it. I have tried keto many times, but I was not able to lose on it. I have some food allergies that make an already tough way of eating even more difficult. I need more choices. Oh, and I am 56, so that is slowing down weight loss as well. This is for the long haul. I really have to watch what goes in my mouth for the rest of my life.
