Linda, it's hard not to worry because we can have no faith in what we are told by the government, and certainly no confidence that this administration has the best interest of citizens at heart. Your situation with Jason is especially concerning. Maybe the fact that you're in a more rural area would help to give you a thin layer of protection as opposed to being in a more crowded city? Who knows? It could be on something you handle at the grocery store, Wal-Mart, etc. The unknown is what is so scary, because we feel completely helpless and out of control in protecting ourselves. As for Pence, he's a total waste. God forbid that they actually let scientists who have some real knowledge be in charge. I have to admit that like lani, when I read the comment about the rallies that thought went through my mind, and then I felt guilty for it. The difference between us, and the JA and his followers is that we feel guilty for it and would never want anyone to be actually harmed even the JA. He on the other hand could care less about what happens to us.

I also have a lot of respect for Dr. Gupta. I definitely trust what he says far more than I trust anything coming out of the WH.

Also had to chuckle about what constitutes "elderly". At 70 quickly coming up on 71 I don't think of myself as elderly, but I expect I fall into that category. DH is 81. I don't think of him as elderly, but I'm certain he would qualify. When does one become "elderly"? It seems like you just go to sleep one night still young, and something happens during the night that makes you wake up "elderly." Of course some "silly" people would classify my DD as middle-aged. I, however, know that she is still my baby.

I'm more of a tit for tat person. Vengeance and revenge are things I enjoy. Payback is a bitch.

If you hurt others I enjoy seeing you hurt. I couldn't care less about the jerk in tbe WH and his prayerful and lazy side kick. Don't care if either one of them and their families lives or dies.

They tore babies out of their mothers arms and shoved them in cages. Imagine the fear the child and the mother felt? I can. It's unforgivable. That's just one evil thing they did.

They are evil people. Pence prays because he's too lazy to do the job himself so he asks Someone else to handle it. Not good enough.

We have a bunch of crack pots in the WH. Idiotic underqualified fools!

We need to take back our House, disinfect the place, and put sanity and mindfulness back in charge.

I want to be proud to be an American again. I'm worn out being ashamed and embarrassed. I'm tired of it now.

If these jerks get 4 more years stick a fork in America's butt because She's done.

So Linda, I guess that answers our question. You and I are elderly.

How can people be so stupid? Maybe they're not paying attention. Maybe they truly believe there's no difference in the parties or their policies. Maybe they're too busy working and living their lives.

Maybe when they go to the grocery store and the shelves are empty, when they can't get gas for their car or oil to heat their home, or money out of the bank, they might pay attention.

While we were out today we noticed how many stores are now out of business. Whole strip malls now empty.

K Mart, Michael's, Jo Ann's fabrics, a sports store I can't think of the name right now, Modells, all gone. These were stores where middle class people shopped. It's scary and very sad.

The only thing left standing is the House of Representatives.  My biggest fear is a Trumpublican Congress - Senate & House, Presidency and SCOTUS.  We are almost there.  The trifecta of doom.

Re: Pence's task force, I suppose the Money Men are necessary if they want to increase the budget from the $2.5B.  So I grudgingly understand their presence.

Even though I know how utterly stupid this JA is, still it always amazes me when I hear him be so totally inept and clueless. It's like between times my mind seems to think surely nobody can be that dumb, but yes, every single time he proves that he can be; and, evidently he surrounds himself with people just as dumb who write his remarks and "advise" him. He seems to have absolutely no clue to the fact that the stock markets tank because he comes out and talks about this virus displaying for the world that he doesn't have a clue what's going on. I really know nothing about the stock market other than that when people lose confidence it's not a good thing. Where's FDR reassuring that, yes, we will have this under control? Yes, "I've" got your backs. Yes, no stone will be left unturned. Instead the JA comes out and rambles incoherently, contradicts what all experts say, puts an idiot like Pence in charge, and then blames it all on Democrats who evidently created the whole thing to try to make him lose the election. If this wasn't our real life, it would be impossible to believe anyone could be as stupid as him.
