I do remember that episode! You're right. This is exactly the same thing. I don't remember the ending. I probably blocked it out. Lol
I do remember how creepy the boy was. Creepy and evil. Did he loose his powers or destroy the whole town instead? Did he grow up to be the president?

birdgal, the little boy ripped his neighborhood/hometown out of the fabric of reality and stuck it somewhere else, surrounded by emptiness. No one could get in or out. It ended with him still controlling everything and everyone. Doo-doo-doo-doo....doo-doo-doo-doo....

OMG, that - I don't know what to call it - stream of consciousness, unconsciousness? The "celebration." How the hell did this happen? What have we done to deserve this? It's so bizarre; nothing energizes this strange person like when somebody crosses him. He's got enough grievances now to last him several lifetimes. I'm starting to remember that Twilight Zone episode where the little boy could think people dead and everyone tiptoed around trying to keep him happy. Remember? It was called "It's A GOOD Life." Based on a well-known sci-fi short story. We are all in the Twilight Zone now, for sure. Billy Mummy was the kid(I am a twilight zone junkie lol)

He acted the same way at the National Prayer breakfast, you know, good Christian that he is... spouting hate, self importance, you know "the trump commandments".

Billy Mummy was the kid(I am a twilight zone junkie lol) I know (Mumy). He was in Lost in Space too. Danger, Will Robinson, alien approaching! I've seen every episode at least once, many episodes multiple times. Twilight Zone, not LIS. At least the evil little boy was a child when he got his powers. He never really understood the consequences of his actions, I don't think. He was always just reacting in the moment. What's weirdo's excuse?

He has no excuse. He's just evil because he chooses to be.

Rod Serling would be happy about this conversation. This is a nice trip down memory lane. I can see the intro and hear the music in my head.
Fun memory. Black and white. Getting up to change the channel. Sitting on the floor too close to the tv. Rabbit ears. Ok. I'll stop.
You're right, Joyce. He is an evil man. Plain and simple. Evil.
That's why I can not for the life of me understand how he possibly has such a fan base with Evangelicals.

Hello, Susan Collins, Alexander Lamar & others who feel JA learned his lesson from this Impeachment......Ya, Sure! Colonel Vindman is getting fired today, Steve Munichin from Treasury handed over Hunter Biden's Financial Records to the Judiciary Committee ( he refused to hand over JA when they asked), they now know that someone gave out the number on a TV channel for the Iowas Causas to report results & the phones were flooded with Robo calls & blocked calls to disrupt, and its only Friday!

This just all makes me sick to my stomach. Collins, Alexander, and the rest knew this would be the outcome. They deliberately unleashed a totally deranged, vindictive, evil man who now knows for certain he can do anything he pleases with impunity.
I just can't take the hatred and divisiveness out there, and the mindless adoration of this aberration in the White House. I am making myself stick to discussing politics only on this thread. I am not going to post any political things on FB even if they are only moderately political, and I refuse to read or comment or even "like" anyone else's. I'm just scrolling right past them. Makes my FB time pretty short these days. I don't understand these people, and I've given up trying. Someone I've known all my life posted last night that she "loves this President." That was the final tipping point for me. I just can't take it anymore. I don't know this person anymore. She and others have become someone I simply can't recognize. I wouldn't be anymore shocked if they suddenly grew another head.

nashville11 , Do you post on other ProBoards WW threads? I seem to have very few friends on FB who post anything political. I too have a few friends (online mostly) who say they "love" this president. I just can't wrap my head around how they think - and they think it's great that Rush Limbaugh got the Medal of Freedom!! Just as we here on this thread talk about the divisiveness and hatred, they talk about it as if it's completely caused by the Democrats. Do they not hear all the divisive, hateful rhetoric spoken by their beloved president? How do they not see that he is the cause of so much of it? There's a woman I know who speaks often about hating Hillary because Hillary was married to a cheater, among other reasons, I suppose. This woman was cheated on in her first marriage. She also hates Tiger Woods because he cheated on his wife. So if marital cheating is such a big issue to her, how can she stomach Trump? I don't get why ANY woman can respect him and can put aside all his disgusting behavior towards women. I have had no success discussing any of this with people on the other side. They immediately get into name calling or telling me I'm uninformed. I blame a lot on complete loyalty to Fox News.

I think I lost another friend. I have a long time friend that I only keep in touch with on FB these days. She posted something disgusting about Nancy Pelosi yesterday and I responded. After some back and forth I ended up un-following her. What is almost more obnoxious than her post is her little band of [female] followers who were supporting her. They were posting things just as disgusting, then have the nerve to call anyone who opposed Trump horrible names. I guess they just don't see the hypocrisy. I ended up going back and deleting all of my posts and say one that said "this is XXX's post, if you don't like it just pass it by". So I guess you can only post if you agree. As I said, hypocrites. And scary, because these are the kind of people who still support Trump.

I just simply cleaned up my FB account, unfriended everyone, (family knew I was doing this), & deactivated my account. I didn't terminate it, because I can still log in to watch Grandson wrestle thru his schools wrestling club, & I also like my city's classified site to sell & buy things. I have to log in & deactivate each time, but that's ok. My account is basically scrubbed clean & hopefully, I can't get hacked or swamped with political ads & trolls. So far its worked for 2 years when I deactivated it. I do not trust FB one iota to sell my personal info, keep trolls off, keep Russian ads/accounts off or anything else. When I read awhile back. that Zukerburg or however you spell his name & has met with JA several times in the last year or so, I don't trust him. I think a lot of people are using Instagram more often than not. I don't do that or Twitter. My only outlet is here.

@ika48, you are braver than I am. I also don't do twitter or instagram. I do keep in contact with some old friends on FB so I am reluctant to deactivate. What I probably should do is unfollow, or unfriend all of the sites that pop up with political news.
