CJ, I was wondering that the blank space was. I've seen people on other parts of this board that have posted pictures with no problem so you probably didn't need to delete it but I'm not sure. I will go and look at the video you posted the link for. The cat quilt top sounds beautiful. I, also, over think things and end up doing things the way I think they should be rather than how they actually should be done.
I did get in some crocheting today and will undoubtedly do more this evening and will read some also.
Where are our fellow crafters today?

Ruth - I went back and deleted the picture since I was worried it was connected to my Pinterest account.

hi, cj I do not know much about copy right laws. you are not using it as a avitar or trying to sell the picture or fabric. so you might be ok.
now taking a designer and showing his design and using it might be a problem.
a few years ago a quilter had a project going in our guild for everybody. she thought she tweeked it enough. can't remember if she put it on facebook or in our newsletter. well that designer (he)saw it. so the quilter had to take it off. our guild had to have a big meeting about copy right laws.
so if you want to show a designer project on facebook or use their design or show in a quilt show ask that person first.
I have asked a desiginer if I could show a project in a quilt show. she said yes. sad I never got it done.
our charity girls wanted us to do a project using a designer 's pattern. Cindy emailed her. got home from church and she emailed Cindy. she really explained it was for charity and not to sell or show.think she even talked to her on the phone.
the designer thought it was wonderful we do that. all the project was using this gal's design fore different 10 inch blocks.
so there are ways to work it out.
did not do much today or go anywhere.was thinking about going down staris. did not make it. si nerve acted up and woke me up at 2. I knew it would we has to stand for about 35 minutes last night waiting for our table.phyl

Phyl- so very sorry that your sciatica is acting up and that you were unable to sleep well. Sometimes we just know that we are doing something that will aggravate a problem- and you surely hope that it will not....but then it does. Hoping that this episode passes quickly for you.
Ruth - good for you getting some crocheting time in today! I was happy to hear that your dumplings came out well and that Dh’s A1C was a good level. I have never cooked without gluten and no that some recipes just will not adapt well to all recipes (and I figure that the recipe will have to be modified.).
CJ- glad you submitted that survey for the postal service. Most of the time I am pretty happy with their service- but sometimes they mess up. Sounds like you were honest and I am sure your mail will be delivered in a timely manner. That being said, did you hear about the package that just recently was delivered a little bit late? Try 5 years late! It was a purchase on ebay and it just never seemed to get there, so the seller refunded the fee to the buyer. The package was just delivered and it truly was 5 years late. I am sure your taxes will not take that long! Love the kitty block. Its adorable. You manage to find the most adorable ideas.
Well, had DD#2 here all day. I am so glad I made dinner early this am (chicken pot pie) so all I had to do was pop it in the oven when it was time to eat. I got no crafting done today but did help Dd pick out fabric from MSQ for the baby quilt she will be making for her new nephew. And I did a wee little bit of straightening up in my craft supplies, so I guess all that counts. It was very cold here today, but at least sunny.
See everyone in the morning Ginny

Hello Crafters Phyl - Hope you are feeling better today Ruth - Hope you were able to get in your crocheting. I was watching a bunch of videos yesterday looking for a project for just one skein of yarn. Ginny - Hope you enjoyed time with your DD and that you all enjoyed the Chicken Pot Pie. Reading that reminded me that I've wanted to try the one that Costco sells since I've heard it's really good. It's so large though that I've avoided buying it but I was reading how so people cooked it then portioned it out into servings and froze them. That would work for me. Meg and Sue - Hope you are getting some crafting done. I forgot to tell you all that I tried threading my embroidery needle using the dental floss threader and the end of it is too large to go through the eye of the embroidery needles I'm using. I'm sure there are some larger eye needles out there, but I'll just keep using the old fashioned threading method to hopefully, eventually, finish the project I started. I'm hoping to get in my sewing room for a bit and sew together some tumbler blocks rows for the quilt, since I want to get this project done and off my cutting/pressing table. I'll get to the Cat quilt after that since I already have the fabrics picked out. Hope everyone is having a nice weather day. It's sunny here and a bit milder. I haven't been out though. Take care everyone!

Good to see you here CJ! From my experience, chicken pot pie freezes really well. If I were you (and you liked chicken pot pie) I would give Costco’s a try and freeze it into single servings. How well would that work for you if you did not feel like cooking!!l So sorry that the dental floss trick did not work to fit through the needles you have. Guess you can thread them the old fashioned way or buy larger eyed needles. Did you get some time in your sewing room to work on the tumbler blocks? That and the cat quilt are great projects for you, really cute. At least for now our weather is similar. Hope that the brighter and warmer weather keeps your spirits high. Its surely better than a cold rainy day!!
No crafting for me, although I talked about quilting a ton after church today and began moving my sewing stuff upstairs to what was Dd #2 bedroom. I also put away the fabric I took out yesterday for Dd, so that area.is straightened up a bit. Tomorrow I hope to move my sewing cabinet up and start setting things up in the bedroom. I will have more room there and perhaps can be better organized. Lets see about that, ha ha ha ha.
Hi to Ruth, Phyl, Sue and Meg. Ginny

CJ, we don't have a Costco here but I've heard that their chicken pot pie is really good. Since you like chicken pot pie you should get one and, as you said, freeze portions. The chicken and dumplings I made the other day was pretty much like chicken pot pie filling with dumplings put in. I hope you got a chance to work on those beautiful blocks. I'm sure you'll love them when they're done
Ginny, congrats on getting a sewing room! I bet you have lots of ideas about how to set it up and organize your fabrics and notions. And I know it will be much more organized than my craft room which also serves as my ironing room and the closet there is my clothes closet as dh has the walk in closet although he wears about 3% of the clothes in it but he does store other things of his in there too.
Dh and I were working today on getting things together for our trip. It's a challenge. And I did get i some crafting also and will do more
