Good afternoon,
CJ- well I see the rationale of sticking with the “color of the month” but perhaps you could substitute? Perhaps instead of teal using a certain kind of patterned fabric(like a paisley for example). or even a different color family entirely. But then you do not know what they will ask for in subsequent months.... Of course,it could also just mean that you have to make a trip to Joanns, which is not such a hardship after all. Got the same cold and windy weather up here also sunny however. I hear ya with crummy birds- but soon we should start seeing the northern migration of our summer birds, and you are also in the eastern flyway- as am I. Just today the cast of characters here at my feeder changed, and I saw birds I have not seen for awhile. Then there is the mess and the expense, and I do get that. We have many cats (my own does not hunt much anymore) and a hawk that loves to watch. It hurts to think of the little birds we are feeding as a meal for a predator.
Ruth well the taxes are done and I am happy for you. Stinks that you had to pay again. Dh and I owed a lot last year- but we had lots of life changing events, my retirement and Dd was off our taxes as a deduction. I adjusted our withholding and for this year, it all worked out. But, with a possible trip coming up, its good that you got it done. Remember, you do not have to submit payment to the government until April 15- even though you filed today. Glad you figured out the problem(s) with the eyeglass case. One would think that Red Heart would (being a large company with resources) try out their patterns first and correct as needed. How frustrating for you.
Phyl, yes, a good idea that you stay home tomorrow and completely get over not feeling well. There is too much craziness out there- and why take a risk?? There will be other neat charity sew days to attend, or other ways to contribute. Did you get your machine back?
Got my hair done yesterday, and then went to HL with Dd where I picked up a lovely flag case for the casket flag (50%) off. Not sure where to display it now, but for now its on top of the china closet (matches the wood). So I guess yesterdays crafting was being in hobby lobby. I walked with my friend later on in the day- we both needed it both physically and mentally. Ends up her MIL passed away today (which was expected)- so our time together was a blessing while walking. Today both DD’s were here, with the grandkids. A very busy day and an emotional one. Think a more quiet week is ahead- no plans tomorrow other than going to church and stopping in to see my friend and her husband to see how they are doing after their loss today. Not sure if I will get to crochet this evening but I am looking at the baby fabric I have and starting to get the itch to sew.
Have a good evening all.
