Amy is dropping out, and she's endorsing Biden. It's the right thing to do.

nashville11 , I just saw that. Twitter trolls (if they are actual posters and not bots) are trying to paint these candidates dropping out as being totally driven by the DNC, and backroom wheeling and dealing because the DNC doesn't want Sanders. Excuse me, is there something wrong with that? I don't want him either. And BTW that is political reality, giving support to the remaining candidate that most closely adheres to your philosophy when your campaign runs out of gas. The GOP is all for Sanders because they view him as an easier target to defeat.

I agree. If you can't win, then you should endorse the closest person to your beliefs that can win. As you said lani, that's just political reality. Where were these trolls when all the GOP clowns that originally trashed Trump suddenly got on his bandwagon, and he doesn't even reflect their party. He reflects nothing but his own self-interest. Biden, Buttigieg, and Klobuchar really are closely aligned in their policies. Unlike the GOP sheep, they all actually are Democrats too.

nashville11 , yeah, don't get me wrong. Of the three: Biden, Pete or Amy, I would much prefer the two "youngsters". But, eyes on the prize, people. If Bernie gets the nom I see two outcomes: 4 more years of you-know-who OR Bernie gets elected and Dems lose the House and lose more seats in the Senate in the next congressional contests. I believe losing the House might even be worse than a Trump re-election. Apologies if I've said this before. It doesn't seem to be sinking in. If Bloomberg stays in, as long as he can get some delegates and then toss 'em to Joe at the convention, I'm OK with that. I'm wondering if Amy and Pete are going to actively campaign for Biden. He desperately needs to ramp up his organization. Bernie has a great organization and enough money, and Bloomberg has the mega-bucks, as we know. Joe has neither. Warren could be a possible spoiler for Bernie. It's all very interesting if it weren't so darn scary and important. And if Bernie gets the nom I will vote for him, come what may. I sure hope it doesn't come to that. P.S. Also, if Bernie is nominated, Mr. Lani will vote for Trump, thus having the effect of neither of us voting. No, I won't divorce him over it should it come to pass.

LOL! lani, I'm not sure I'd have your strength if my DH were to vote Trump. Fortunately there's no way that is going to happen so I won't be tested. He despises Trump as much if not even more than I do, so that's saying a lot.

I have voted ever since I was old enough to do so.
I'm not a fan of Bernie. I despise the thing in the WH.
I don't think I could vote for Bernie and I'd stick needles in my eyes before I voted for the thing.
So, if it's Bernie or the thing, either I won't vote for the first time or I'll hold my nose and vote for Bernie and it kind of makes me sad and mad if these are our only choices. What a waste!

I Pat, I hope you'll change your mind and vote for whoever gets the nomination. For me, getting tRump out of the WH is paramount. Absolutely nothing is more important than that, IMO. Even though my vote in the general won't actually count for anything because TN will go Republican, nevertheless it will feel wonderful to me to cast a ballot against this abhorrent JA. Just keep thinking about the fact that if those Bernie supporters who refused to vote for Hillary and so didn't vote at all had cast their ballot for the Democrat nominee we likely would not be in this mess now.

Joyce, I will vote for Bernie.
I know how hard our Founding Mothers fought to give me the right to choose my politicians, my leaders, my future.
I'd never take their time, sacrifice, vision, and work for granted.
I was just moaning and groaning about the choices. I'm over my snit.
Sistah Power! Lol.
You're correct. I was so angry and disgusted at those Bernie babies who stuck their fingers in their ears, stuck out their tongue, and stomped their little feet and refused to vote because their guy didn't get picked.
This is all their stupid fault. Thanks for the reminder.

I saw Chris Matthews quit suddenly during tonights show. His comments about Bernie, Natzi's & Cuba, evidently caused many to call for him to leave his show. His departure & statement was pretty shocking since evidently no one knew it was coming. They had to spend about 10 minutes on commercials before continuing the show with another host. I had always liked his show, altho lately, he was bad about interrupting his guests, was getting crankier, etc... www.cnn.com/2020/03/02/media/chris-matthews-retires-msnbc/index.html

Just saw a news flash on my phone about Chris Matthews. What a surprise! Hard to imagine he left mid-show. He was bad about interrupting and talking over his guests. I hope they get someone really good to replace him. Will be interesting to see who it will be.

Way to go Pat, and good reminder about how hard those women who came before us worked to give us the right to vote.

Joyce, was the tornado in Nashville anywhere near the area you used to live? Gosh, it looked like it was one wicked tornado. I'll take a blizzard & below zero temps any day over a tornado. We get them occasionally here, but most don't even touch down. I hope all those you know in Nashville are safe & sound. Scary!
I read an article today, where Paul Begala thinks JA is going to dump Pence & put Haley in as VP. The way she has sucked up to JA, I can clearly see that happening. He thinks JA just threw Pence under the bus by putting him in charge of this virus. After all he has to lay the blame for incompetence somewhere. Begala said JA will do this on the day the Democrats announce their nominee for President. This way Ja can steal the headlines...
