We woke up to terrible news here in TN, but we are safe and only had strong thunderstorms in my immediate area here. My hometown was hit very hard by a tornado with one person killed and of course Nashville was hit very hard with 8 deaths in that area. I've seen pictures from both places, and as always the destruction from tornadoes is horrific. Everyone in my family is safe and accounted for, and we are thankful for that. It hurts to see all the destruction though, especially when you recognize the places. In my hometown the house next to the cemetery where my family is buried was destroyed. The road to the area where I grew up is closed, but I'm hoping the house I grew up in that my dad built himself was not damaged. I haven't lived there in many, many years but it would break my heart to see it gone. Just thankful, however, that everyone I love and so far all my friends are safe in both my hometown and in Nashville.
Our only plan for today is to go and vote. Go Joe!!

"Susan Collins declines to say whether she'll support Trump" -- CNN
Oh good grief Susan Collins! Get over yourself! Of course, you will support Trump. You always do. You just like the attention you gather from first pretending that you might not. The whole country knows you fold when the chips are down.

Joyce were some of the polling places destroyed? Yes, but alternate polling places were set up and voting is going on. I'm certain this will have a big effect on turnout in Middle TN, and a lot of African Americans live in the eastern part of Nashville which was hit very hard. The destruction is terrible, and the death toll just keeps climbing. In my tiny hometown (population <5,000) one person was killed. It's such a sad story. He was lying on top of his wife to protect her. He was killed, and she is very badly injured. Some people throughout the middle TN area still missing and unaccounted for. I just saw a post from a friend who is trying to find two people in her family. I'm beyond grateful that all my family is safe.

nashville11 , So glad you and your family are safe. I just heard a judge has extended the polls for an extra hour in the hardest hit county. And look at you after all these years! Great pic Joyce!

OMG. The coronavirus task force "press briefing" today banned audio and video. WTAF? Excuse my french. I was able to follow some of the briefing from a reporter who tried to summarize it live on Twitter. Some guy commented after "the only thing transparent about this administration is its leader's cotton candy hair." At least I got a laugh out of it. You cannot make this stuff up.

Looks like Joe is the new "Comeback Kid". He had an awesome night, and I was happy to see that. I'm so tired of the constant turmoil, ugliness, hate, and just never knowing what to expect from the JA now except that we know that whatever he does it won't be good. I think a lot of people are like me, and just sick of all that. We're craving some comfort and a sense of stability and decency again. Sanders can't provide that. I'm not looking for a revolution. I'm looking to get my country back and secure. Then we can move forward with new bold ideas, but first we have to get things back to a playing field we all understand. Just my opinion, but I'm not looking for the unknown. I'm craving the stability and trust of the tried and true. By the way, what were those two protesters that ran on stage behind Biden protesting last night? I think their signs said something like "Let Dairy Die" ?? Is that what they said? I couldn't see them very well.

nashville11 , they're a vegetarian protest group that wants to abolish all dairy farming. Kind of like PETA for cows.
