The temperature got down to single digits before I went to bed last night. It's still snowing today. Only a few inches accumulation.
I think I've figured out how to use the online grocery shopping feature. Nothing is needed for a while. I had the small key card on a chain I haven't used in two years.
Tomorrow morning I plan to pick up my glasses. Good deal! New lenses at no cost because they were scratched. I'm going to the bank to have something notarized. Skipping the chiropractor and then heading for home to stay for a long while.
Last night I crocheted a dishcloth. I bought several cotton cones in colors that go. with my kitchen. Trying out some new stitches and different color combinations.

Good morning all.
Ginny, no I'm not to the arms yet. That's where I hope to get to today.I'm up to where the cross starts and have about six rows of the cross done so only 62 rows to the arms
Sue, I don't think it got that cold here but I'm not sure. I do know what after two mornings of waking up to new snow that today there is none. It got so warm yesterday that most of the snow melted. It's a great idea to practice new stitches by making dishcoths and potholders and it sounds like you are very prepared to spend a lot of time at home.
Last evening on one of the crochet groups someone asked for people to give the answer to "if you could not add to your yarn stash, how long would you be able to crochet" Well I had to say that probably I could crochet all the rest of my life without adding to my yarn collection and several other people gave the same answer.I was thinking last evening that while I was at the senior center donating my hats I should have looked in the room where they meet at the yarn they have in the cupboards there....why though, I have enough yarn!!

Hello Crafters - Hope you are all doing well today Ginny - I'm glad you are able to get out and I'm sure your church will practice safety precautions. Hope things work out with your DS's birthday. Sounds like family is staying close around you to let you know you are not alone Sue - I guess snow in March is pretty common where you are. We used to get some snow in March sometimes, but this season we didn't get any measurable snow at all. I'm glad you don't have to pay for the new glasses. Ruth - Sounds like you have a lot of yarn I have enough fabric to make quilts for years and years. I'll never use it in my lifetime. I figured out a long time ago that collecting it was half the fun Meg and Phyl - Hope you are both getting some crafting done. I've been working more on that quilt from 2009. I finished all the inner sashings and made some more strip sets to put as the inner border. I need some cornerstones for this quilt top and I'm going to make 4 Hourglass blocks and put them in each corner. Then there is just the outer border to do. So I hope to work some more on it today. It's turning out to be a pretty quilt, especially with just the 3 fabrics. I'm glad I decided to finish it. I'm trying not to be too worried about what will happen with this virus. It's really scary to see how quickly our economy and society can be shut down. I'll be less worried once I get my two things done this coming week. Then I don't have anything that I'd need to go out for. I hope that all of you and your families will stay well and safe. Take care and have a great day!

Good evening,
Never would have thought that I would get here this late- it was a busy day.
CJ- hoping that the two things that you must get done are easy to accomplish with little time out of your home. I know with the possibility of quarantine looming in some areas, I wonder how much we will be able to accomplish. its good to hear that you are enjoying making that quilt top and are getting to design the border. I am glad to hear that you really like the way the quilt looks- then it was worth the wait from 2009! Cannot wait to hear that you have finished the quilt. I agree - try not to worry about this virus too much. Stay in as much as you can (great for finishing quilts!) and stay safe. Hope that you and your family can stay safe.
Ruth- well you know the old saying “he who dies with the most fabric wins”. I guess the same thing goes for yarn. The lovely thing about spring being just around the corner is that any snow that falls, melts quickly. Good news for you and Dh! Hope that you get to the arms of the cross today- which will get you well into the progress you want to make of the Afghan.
Sue, well you do not have spring weather yet- that is for sure. Hope you can get those errands done early in the morning so you can stay home. Lovely thing to just be able to stay in! Like Ruth, I like to make dishcloths because you can work on new stitches and in such a small piece. It’s such a nice way to refresh the look of your kitchen with new dish towels also. Sounds like a great project, Enjoy! Online grocery shopping is so convenient and lots of times you can get them to shop for free with promotionals. I do not use that service often- but Dd who works full time with 3 young children does and its a life saver for her. I used to order my mom’s groceries from my house to be delivered to her by her local store. So very nice and a great service if you have trouble getting out.
Had everyone over to celebrate Ds’s bday (which is Tuesday). Wish Dh was here to see it- everyone got along well and it was a busy but really nice evening. Think Ds appreciated our little celebration.
Time to get some sleep. See you in the morning Ginny
Stay safe everyone
