Mikeβs Celebration of Life Has been rescheduled to April 19th 2-4PM at the Santa Clara Library on Homestead in Santa Clara, CA. Of course this is all subject to change based on circumstances. _________ itsrad and I had been planning to do a thread in Mike's honor before the last Celebration was rescheduled for those of us that couldn't make it. With everything being so up in the air right now, we thought we would just go ahead with it now. Feel free to share your favorite memory, thoughts or just send up some hugs. Do you guys remember that thread we had YEARS ago about our quirks? The minute Mike said he got cheap thrills by grabbing the exact number of pills to fill his monthly pill container I knew I had found my new BFF π He really was such a patient man. I always looked forward to his posts about the upcoming WW patents and how he would break everything down for us. And every Wednesday when someone posts "Guess what day it is..." in the check-in thread β€οΈ

Mike was so tickled at those who got the reference to "Zazzles." (Big Bang Theory). Every time I tagged him going forward, I giggled a little.

I enjoyed talking about cookbooks/recipes with Mike. He always had great ideas on how to change a recipe. If he recommended a recipe, I knew it was going to be good. When I looked through my WW recipes, I knew I could check with him to see if he tried a particular recipe.

Anytime he thought of something or heard of something he thought might interest me heβd send a private message. Not often, but even to do it once made me know that was really sweet of him to think of me.
Or our shared venting at things that annoyed us like a couple of old biddies.
Or when heβd spell studio as stewdeeo. Always made me giggle.
Or knowing I could disagree with him and he calmly would agree with or agree to disagree and he never had a freak out or had issues with me speaking my mind with him.

He knew the whole history of Weight Watchers, and what the old plans were, and I enjoyed when he talked about those things. I actually bought one of the very old cookbooks, which also had whatever the old plan was at the time in it, because he talked about it here.
I also appreciated him sharing what he saw on the new patents, and what he predicted would be coming next for WW.
These are just a couple of specifics. I generally appreciated everything he did here. He's very missed.

He was so intelligent and was very kind in sharing his knowledge without making me feel inferior for not knowing or understanding things.
He would always break down the newest WW patents, but could also find/uderstand other info very quickly.
His tech knowledge impressed me with how he made a website to show off his kitchen remodel.
How much he loved Missy and cared about our pets. Even if they were strange-like my lizard. He was very sympathetic when I thought I lost my crested Gecko.
He was an all round great guy who I truly miss and will always remember fondly, even though we never met.

I always appreciated that Mike stayed active all the time by volunteering, going to cooking classes, always going to lunch with friends and having social time at the WW meetings. His posts motivated me to live each day to the fullest. Mike was inspirational and aspirational for sure!

itsrad, Thank you for finding and sharing that clip
I looked forward to seeing a new post from Zazzles/Mike. His knowledge was vast and eclectic; his voice patient, honest and kind; and I always learned something when he posted. He will be missed but also remembered for a very long time.

I've been thinking of Mike and really can't find the words to express all he meant. He was one of the "old timers". He was almost a neighbor (until we moved) and a former WWer employee. We shared those things in common. I will miss his humor, his wisdom, and just him being here.

I could really use his calm, reassuring, common sense now as my mind is spinning constantly with the 'bug' situation. Although, we'd all be worried about him he would certainly be high risk.
I miss you Zazzles.
