This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Good Morning, sleepy and/or super busy CaTs. White world here, and so much closed. My men did head to work after a two hour delay. I had a dr appt (not vital) this am but the whole, large medical complex is closed. Amazing. So many errands to run before we head south tomorrow but having to regroup and replan. Another day with DD to my joy. I expect piano cancellations again (curses on the makeups) due to blowing and drifting conditions. About 10 degrees now.
Martha, before I forget, I would count unsweetened applesauce as zero. Our fruits are zero SP and calculating doesn't work if you know that. Fresh, frozen, canned with No Added Sugar, or in own juice. I know it seems funny that some would be zero, and obviously some choices there are more nutritionally desirable than others, but enjoy your applesauce! Even dash w cinnamon if you like.
Frieda, another snow day in your town? Or are the gals back to school? Two days closed here and the schools are over on their snow day budgets. Not my problem, thankfully. What a winter. Rivaling the storm of '66 they say now, but last night the news said the most snowfall in that many hours ever. That's a big statement. My DM loved it. In '66 my ancestors drive down the roads with movie camera going, filming the high banks. Good times. And of course we have all those movies.
MCat, I would love to gift your DS all this snow! I have never been distant enough from it to fully imagine the joy found in it. My DGF from Seattle who is now gone loved it so much. I always had to try to imagine her joy, and she liked visiting here in Jan to hope for plenty of it. Not this chick.
Ok, sending out magnetic vibes and bowls of milk to attract kitties. Warm hugs and bouquets of daffodils to all of you.

Good morning Shari, and CATs to come. No snow here, but the down jacket came back out due to the cold. It's pretty sad here since so many plants/trees had bloomed early due to the unseasonable warm weather. There won't be a blueberry to be found here, strawberries and fruit trees - all nearly decimated.
I've made pretty good progress this week at work, and I think I'll be able to take off Friday for a long beach weekend. MM's daughters are coming to help celebrate his birthday - a milestone one! Then a week at work with the auditors before another weekend getaway. My 6 weeks of annual leave is looking rather skimpy now as I'm using it very freely!
Must make today count so I'll sign off for now. Stay warm everyone!

Aloha, Long and Lovelies!
Quick drive through; we leave for DC/MD this evening. Still need to pack and get everything in order. Fortunately we have all day to do that.
Shari, that is an amazing amount of snow! We may or may not see some where my DSIL is. She sent us pictures yesterday, but then there was freezing rain too, so not sure what will be left by the time we get there. Safe travels tomorrow! I assume you are also house hunting? Good vibes all around!
Susan, both DH and I have down jackets that we call our "little puffies," due to the fact that I have a really big down jacket we call "big puffy." Serious weather only. It's fun to see you using your time for fun - it seems that you and MM really get along. That's awesome! Enjoy the weekend!
Alrighty, time to start getting stuff together. Have a safe rest of the week, ladies!!! Hugs!

Shari - Your landscape is starting to look like ours Although we only got about 6 inches from the last blast to add to the season total. We should have some meltage going on starting this afternoon. I'll take it. Have fun on your trip south. I assume this is house hunting trip? AND nice to know unsweetened applesauce is zero points. How about Frieda's apple chips? Would that be a zero too? Speaking of houses, Susan - is the beach house on the market yet? Sorry to hear about the late season freeze. Safe travels to MCat and Howdy to Martha and the rest of the CaTS. I am working my second seasonal online job right now. I was promoted to a supervisor with a healthy raise, so I put in for a lot of hours over the next couple of months - stash away some vacation funds since I just drained the account to pay for our jaunt to Punta Cana next January.

Hello! This is my first Wednesday evening alone. The kids are with you know who for a first time visit since, well, you know.
I'm going to do some paperwork, then read a little in my book. I have just 2 hours. I spent my first hour wandering the shelves of Target.
Hooray for extra funds, Karla. Susan you enjoy your weekend, and Shari get on the road!!
I'm sure you'll have snow Missy. How long of a drive is that one?
