I'm sorry but I don't think that Sr hours are good idea. Have seen the lines waiting to get in and too many in store. Most Srs. don't abide my the space between people and they want to talk and talk. I know I am a Sr but I go when I see the store is not busy, keep space between me when I can, yes we are closer to the clerk but that can't be helped and we are a small town so don't expect a barrier to be put in between us. But at least it is only one person, rest I can stay back and yes don't crowd behind me in line. walmart has put marks on the floor where you should stand. ( I don't shop at Walmart for other reasons but my friend told me that and she was in there yesterday) that is a shame they have to do that. Okay now I am off my soap box.
Well this next is really sad. My aunt who is 89 and usually keeps me up to date on things in her area, had a UTI that she didn't know she had, no symptoms, and she must have been dehydrated and got confused and fell several times in her own home. Knocked over chairs and a small end table and was laying on floor in her bedroom unconscious when her neighbor checked on her. Had seen no lights in her house at 9pm and that was very unusual and her DD had been trying to get ahold of her from out of town as well. so she ends up in hospital with face all bruised up but no broken bones, very confused and no memory of what happened to her. No one let me know and I was calling and calling also.
Sooo the really sad part. My 91 year old aunt that I was trying to get in touch with also in same town. Died on March 11. She had been under Hospice Care in nursing home. No one let me know and there were lot of calls on her phone from me I am sure. I have been out of touch with my cousins for long long time but still, my aunt must have had an address book and my phone number would have been on her phone and I left messages. I had a weird feeling yesterday and googled her name for an obit. And it came up on Legacy with the funeral home name. Did the web site and it was her!! Awful way to find out your Favorite aunt was dead!! I did a condolence on the web site as I don't know any of their numbers and I don't do Facebook. and I did write that I had just found out. 2 weeks too late!! Also did a donation to her favorite charity. Darn!!! but I am angry!!! No excuses allowed. ( I really believe that she has told her kids that we have been in touch always)

Thank you, Sandy. I use to go to Dillard’s just to look at fine China teapots.
Cloudy here. Breakfast was a blueberry scone, scrambled egg. It was good.
Stay well.
It might be Naptime

Sandy, you are one of the few (as I said in my rant) that can do their Costco run in less than an hour even with the crowds. I can usually do mine in an hour or less, but there are the elderly like my mom who is 93 who will still go to Costco with my niece and it is usually a little more than an hour and if my dad goes along (back when he was younger 90ish), then plan on about and hour and half al least.
Well starting tomorrow morning (8 am) my county is under a "Stay-at-home" order till April 17, so I will be making a quick run to King Soopers in a few minutes to pick up some additional provisions, especially fruit.
Connie, I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. Maybe your cousins were focusing on the sudden death of their mom and making arrangements that they overlooked contacting you. Not making excuses tho.
Off to get ready for my last quick food run. Catch y'all later.

My vote is for Loving Spring. My hostas are starting to sprout (now if I can keep Waylon out of them) and the daffodils are getting tall. Some robins have decided that our area is a nice place to live. Spring is coming. I had my laugh for the day. I heard a noise outside and Waylon went into protector mode. I looked out and saw my neighbor taking her garbage can to the curb. I went outside and called to her that it's Wednesday. We take out cans on Thursday for early morning pickup on Friday. We both laughed. I was getting worried about her - I hadn't seen her in a long time. She usually sits outside and smokes. She had just been staying inside. Didn't accomplish anything except washing my sheets and towels and putting clean sheets on my bed.

Hi!
Cat, I voted for April Love, and I thought that's what Sandy had voted for as well. Sandy, I sure hope Jeff gets his comeuppance this time! One of my co-workers said that the father of her little boy said if she tried to take him to court for child support, he would quit his job and live off the land.
Linda, I've laughed like crazy over your post of when Jay Leno asked people to share their most embarrassing first dates.
Were any of you a Designing Women fan? On one of their shows, they discussed, looking downward. My daughter just now tested the FaceTime App so we could be sure it worked. She said we needed to hold the computer up and look into it that way. Makes all the difference in the world!
Our snowbird friends are returning from FL, and they report there is no traffic on the roads.
Diane, so glad your daughter is considering your connection on the Internet. I love my old iPad in it's ZAGG keyboard case, but it doesn't allow me to message on Facebook, nor am I able to use more than one formatting button for my ProBoard messages. I use my MACbook Pro (also old) for almost everything. I was so happy I decided to take it to Germany with me. I had the larger screen.
Connie, we had a similar situation in our family last July. My Dad's cousin passed away, and they didn't let us know. I've also contacted one of the kids on Ancestry.com (that's how I know it's her--it reported the elderly cousin as deceased). No response. It's so disappointing to know they don't think enough of us to contact us!
My fun fact for the day is that I called two of my high school classmates this morning, and had a great talk with them. The husband went all through 12 years of school with me (his father was my school bus driver when we lived on the farm), and the wife came from another small town school when we were in seventh grade. My BFF and I counted her as the third in our group from then on. It was a wonderful friendship rekindled!
Take care! Hugs to all! ~~Molly

Molly, I'm glad you got a kick out of Jay Leno. I, too laughed like a crazy person and knew that it was worth sharing. With all of this Covid-19 stuff we really need something to laugh about. I loved Designing Women, those Sugerbaker sisters were a hoot! There is no way they could do a reboot of that show and do it justice.
Didn't get a darn thing done today just a grocery run, will hunker down tomorrow for a while, lots to do around here, just need some energy and motivation. Was great having my scrips delivered. Thanks to Covid-19, there's a lot more groceries being delivered, and picked up. Checked my Visa balance, and was happy with my balance so will do a little shopping.
When I went to King Soopers, there was an employee there sanitizing the cards and he reminded me of my Alaska cruise maybe three/four years ago. Every time we went into the dining area there was an employee with a bottle of hand sanitizer saying "washy washy" and giving you a squirt of hand sanitizer. Great memory and now look as us.
Have a great evening and keep washing those hands.

Went shopping today with Bobbie as our driver. Jim stayed in the car and I drove around the store in one of those carts with the basket on the front. Bobbie put my walker under the regular cart. We went first to Smart "n" Final and then to Walmart and then to a liquor store that sells groceries and that is where I was able to get the toilet paper that was needed. So, I got everything that I needed except creamy peanut butter and Bobbie will be watching for that for me. It was too long a day for me and my ankle is throbbing. It is all black and blue now...not only the ankle but the whole foot and black toes.
Remember I need blanket suggestions!!!
Tucking you all in now in our blankets with A FIELD OF SHAMROCKS WITH DAISIES POKING THRU....sweet dreams!
Marching Towards Goal Kathie
