Actually, Ginny, I have a LOT of pumpkin.I don't have very many eggs though and dh is adamant about not going out. He was even upset at the neighbor showing up at the door and wanted to know if I stayed far enough away from him...I did.The neighbor and his wife are big on hugging but yesterday he didn't make any effort to hug and of course, I would have told him, sorry, for both our benefits..no hugs. Of course it would have been only for my benefit actually because since I haven't been out in three weeks there's no danger of anyone contacting the virus from me
CJ, I'm a big fan of blues so I know that I would like that block.

Ruth, check it out- there are many recipes for eggless pumpkin bread. (Which is also usually a pretty healthy bread....). Perhaps you can find one that works for you.

The teal cotton that I'm using for the hat is from knit picks. It's a little thinner thinner than Cream and Sugar and I think the quality is better. I've done a wide variety of stitches - back loop single crochet, double crochet, half double. It really all looks the same until you look closely. Today I decreased, and I'm trying to figure out what kind of edging I want to put on, if any. I may try a real pattern for the next one!
My DGD in the SF Bay Area has the virus. She can't be tested because she's not considered to be at risk because of her age. I am worried because she has so many at risk conditions. The right hand and the left hand aren't attached to the same body right now. Someone needs to tell the CDC to rewrite the criteria. Getting tested here is also a big problem. That really skews the numbers of people affected.

Sue, I am so sorry to hear about your DGD. How old is she?? its so frustrating. Please tell DGD to stick with it and persist. I have a friend who has been sick for over 3 weeks and by making a royal pain in the neck of herself was able to be tested.. Forgive my ignorance, but if your DGD and her doctors are convinced she has the virus, does it matter- as long as she can be treated and carefully watched, I would think that is the most important part. Of course its possible that you need a positive test result to receive treatment. This must be so frustrating for you and your family. I will pray for your DGD and your family.

Sue, I'm so sorry to hear that your neice has the virus but esp sorry that she can't be tested to find out for sure. As Ginny said, it probably doesn't make much of a difference because treatment is usually for symptoms so would be the same if it's flu or the coronavirus.I know they have chloroquin to treat but that's probably reserved for those that are older and at more risk.(or those with more clout)

Hello Crafters Sue - I'm so sorry to hear that your DGD is sick. I hope she will be able to fight off this virus and recover. I'll keep you and all your family in my thoughts. I was able to find 6 different blue fabrics to use for my April blocks. It's really surprising how many shades and values of blue there are. I also starched and pressed them and cut out the pieces so I'm ready to start sewing. But first I want to clean out my sewing machine first and replace my needle. I also want to change the blade in my rotary cutter. I haven't done any of these things for several months - sometime last year I think - so it's a good time to get them done. It's a pretty sunny day here, but very windy. Hope you are having some nice weather in your area. Take care everyone!

I agree that a normal 16 year old would probably sail though things. Unfortunately, she's at very high risk.

I'm so sorry to hear that Sue. I'll be praying for fast and complete recovery for her. Since she's a high risk I think it's horrible that they don't test. Not that it probably would make a difference in her treatment but then at least you would all know since it could turn out to be something else that maybe did have a definitive treatment

Funny you mentioned changing a needle on your machine CJ. My Dd#2 texted me today that she broke her needle...so I am snail mailing some to her. Hope she gets them on Saturday. CJ- glad you found some good fabrics for your April blocks. Gotta say it seems like just yesterday you were picking out the blocks for March. Now that you have the fabrics all pressed and cut you can start sewing tomorrow.
Ruth, did the snow melt over the day??
Guess I over did it a little bit, my knee is aching and I just took advil. Think I will watch a movie on Netflix (my son gets it). And do some crochetting.
Have a good night all. ginny

Ginny, sorry about your knee. I hope it's ok by morning and doesn't keep you awake tonight
No the snow is still here. I think we got about 4 or 5 inches and it didn't get very warm today but in a couple days it will be in the 50's
I just read about the new restrictions they put on who could be tested in our state. They don't seem to have testing for people in Sue's grandaughter's situation.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that the color of Mandala that I'm working with...genie...Is mint, pistachio, white and three shades of green. I went online to find the one that has teal but couldn't find any that has teal in the mix. Most places have a very limited variety of colors and only Lion Brand site, itself, has all the available colors including all the ones I really like now that I saw them all. Only problem is that they charge $3 more than Walmart and you all know how cheap I am. So since I already have a whole bunch of that yarn, I'll wait and see if someone else that sells it cheaper gets it in stock or Lion has a big sale on it.
Hope you all have a good night and get a great rest
