I got an email from social Security Works The IRS said they won't send 1200 dollar checks to those on disability and social security or veterans. They said you have to file an income tax form. Well of course Democrats are mad. I just filled a 1040 income tax return online. If 65 and up its free. I just used the 1099 I got for 2019. Thats all I needed. I need that 1200. to pay Discover card.

luanne, that video scared the bejesus out of me. But, it makes me more determined than ever to take this social distancing seriously for a longer time than those on TV are saying. I don't trust their timelines when Pence & Trump are throwing out dates.
I emailed it to my brother, sister & my kids. I hope they get the bejeezus scared out of them too.

As of tonight my state is at 2,933 confirmed cases. Tomorrow it will be well over 3,000, and still our governor drags his feet and many are too idiotic to restrict themselves. Just venting my frustration.

www.democraticunderground.com/1017574720CT is at 3557 cases, 2 deaths in my county. National Guard was here starting today building a field hospital next to our local hospital. A 7 week old baby in CT died today. Things are very grim.

So is the new "war on drugs" theme the "don't keep asking me about the stupid things I said/lies I told- look over here instead!" tactic?

Well, silly me. For some reason I thought ND was a state that had a Stay At Home order. I just heard ND is one of 8 who does not! I think our small town is doing a fairly good job of staying at home, but I now wonder about the rest of the state. I hope the Republican Governor gets called out on it!!!!
Now experts are saying that just talking & breathing can spread the virus. Scary!
Dr Fauci is getting threats & requiring extra Marshall Protection is just downright crazy! What is wrong with people!

The JA keeps blaming New Yorkers for their shortage of supplies. I really need to drop the J from that, because let's face it he's really only the A--a real a**! One of the headlines this morning is about questioning Trump's leadership. What leadership? As far as I can see there is nothing to question because there has been no leadership at all and there never has been from Day 1 of his administration.
Even with the sun shining brightly, it can be hard to keep spirits up so I have to turn off the news. Instead, I'm going to make some sandwiches and DH and I are going to drive to a nearby state park (city ones are all closed thankfully) and have a picnic. That will break the humdrum routine and still allow us to keep social distancing. On the way we'll stop at DD's door and drop off DGS's birthday present. Today the piece of my heart who made me a grandmother turns 12 years old. Amazing! His mom has a surprise party on Zoom with his friends planned for this afternoon. Thankful for technology!

Linda, I saw that about security for Dr Fauci having to be increased. People are nuts! He's been our only lifeline through this whole ordeal, as he's the only one on that stage we can trust to tell us the truth, and even he has to walk a thin line.
Tennessee doctors have been urging our governor to issue a stay at home order, but so far he refuses. Day before yesterday he did finally issue a "safer at home" directive, which is similar to what our city mayor had issued a couple of weeks ago. The "safer at home" is better than nothing, but there really are no penalties if it's ignored. Because Governor Lee has been so slow to respond, a lot of people still are not taking this seriously. People look to what they think are supposed to be their leaders for direction, and in red TN that is the A** in the WH and Gov Lee so there are many people who still believe that the media and Democrats are just blowing this all out of proportion because they want to defeat Trump. You can clearly see a huge difference when you look at Kentucky which borders us on the north and has a sensible Democrat governor. He issued tight orders from the start, and has even told his citizens not to go to Tennessee because we're so unsafe. Kentucky has far, far fewer cases than Tennessee does. Yet still people are too blind to see. I also blame a lot of that on Fox news and conservative talk radio idiots.

I'm really taking it one day at a time. Stay safe everyone! Our stay at home just got extended to May something. I am sure it will continue to be extended indefinitely. Over 6 million unemployment claims this week.

I just put on CNN. The Cuomo Bros giving each other crap is one of the funniest, most normal things I've seen in a while. What a welcome display of quick-wittedness and word play. ETA: Then they went into a mutual love and pride fest. I need to see more humans like them on TV.

Linda, I did enjoy some sunshine for you. We had a nice picnic even though we had to eat it in DH's truck. The park was open, but picnic tables etc were roped off. Still it was beautiful with flowering trees and a nice change of pace. Here's a laugh for us all today . . . or at least I thought it was funny.

Our Governor is finally signing a stay-at-home order. It's about time! No more picnics even though we were not around any people, but that's o.k. There's always the backyard. At least he didn't make an utter fool out of himself like Georgia's governor did by saying he just now found out that the virus can be spread by people not showing symptoms. Has he been living in a cave?
