CNN's website this morning says, "Chaos rocks White House on virus' most tragic day". Well, nothing whatsoever new there. Chaos has been rocking the WH ever since this abomination was sworn in. It's amazing it hasn't rocked all the way off its foundation by now. But, there's nothing I can do to change that until election day rolls around. So in the meantime, I am just working on trying to keep my sanity by never actually listening to him if I can possibly avoid it. If he gets re-elected I can't imagine how we would be able to cope for another four years. I saw a meme on FB saying something like on election day this person was going to put on his mask, cover himself in protective gear, and swim through an ocean of coronavirus if he had to in order to vote this JA out of office. That's pretty much how I feel. It seems the worse things get, the harder his true supporters dig in. That's o.k., as I know nothing will change their minds, but just please leave me out of it. I had a bit of a confrontation last night with one of my cousins. She's gone totally insane and thinks he's doing a wonderful, amazing job. I ignore her posts, but this one she posted directly on my page to me. Well, I'd just had enough. I didn't say anything mean, but I did tell her very strongly to please keep her political opinions to her own account and not to direct them to me again. She has since deleted the post, but it remains to be seen whether she's also "deleted me." LOL! I hope not. I don't have a lot of family left and I love her even though we are light years apart politically. But, if she doesn't respect me enough to keep her politics away from me when she knows how I feel, then maybe it was a one sided relationship all along. Guess we'll see if the JA is more important to her than family. On with the day. It's beautiful and sunny here. We've gotten out for walks the past couple of days, and I hope we can do so today as well.

Joyce, I had a friend (?) who unfriended me in favor of Trump & her Trump supporting kids. So, altho, it bothered me for a time, I felt when thinking about it, it was a one sided relationship. We had been friends for over 30 years. But it was her choice, so, that's that.
Speaking of Ja being more important than family, did you see the quote from DR D. Birx. She said something to the effect that she couldn't check on her 10 month old granddaughter who was running a 105 degree fever because it was more important to keep Trump & Pence safe. She's gone to the "dark side"IMHO. No job is more important than family. Especially with Trump who will never ever appreciate what she is doing. Or Dr Fauci as well.
Well, Bernie gave up the race. It was well over time to do that. I wonder how he will manage his die hard supporters, now.
Its a windy day here. As in howling. Hate days when it does that.

Nothing would prevent me from trying to keep family safe. It's not like Trump and Pence don't have plenty of medical help immediately accessible to them.
Bernie is dropping out. I think that's wise. Now to see if he will endorse Biden. I hope he will strongly endorse him and work hard to get him elected.

African Americans dying at 6X the rate of everyone else. The ultimate voter suppression. Can you hear the white supremacists cheering? Also those in power who want to stay there no matter what.
Good news about Bernie. I am very afraid of the next presidential election results. One thing at a time, I guess. Right now, staying alive.

lani, I agree it's one thing at a time, but like you I am very afraid that he will be re-elected. I just have to tell myself to hope for the best, and be prepared to endure the worst.

Joyce, good for you! I thought it was too early for hummingbird feeders until it dawned on me you are in the South.
I hope you have many happy little Hummers visiting those feeders soon. Please keep us posted.
Enjoy those beautiful little Beings of Light.

Pat, yes, it was in the 80s here yesterday, but we had strong storms and a cold front come through last night so today will only be in the 60s. I do have some friends who have started seeing a few hummers. I'm hoping to see some soon if I'm lucky.
There seems to be no news. Just more of the same, but the predictions are starting to sound a bit better so that's very hopeful. Will check back later . . .

Joyce, the poor little Hummers would shiver to death up here. I love them & generally I see them more towards middle to end of summer. I used to put out feeders, but my feed for the hummers didn't get used up fast enough & then it just got moldy & stinky. So, I've started planting bee balm & other red flowers where I can see them. I have a honeysuckle vine growing up my deck walls & they flit in & out on the deck. So fun to watch.
We are doing some light Easter cleaning, so that at least it feels like a Holiday here this weekend. I managed to throw a sock at a few cobwebs & gave the rest a lick & a promise...;-)
Amy good for you with the exercising & course online. You are using your self guarantee very wisely.
The virus is now creeping into the counties around me & there is now 1 positive in my county. I think once it makes it into the rural towns, it will take off fairly quickly. I doubt if the local hospital or the one we use 40 miles from here, even have a ventilator. Usually, the very sick people on any given normal day are airlifted or taken by Ambulance to Bismarck. That is 180 miles from here. Its a scary thought to think about, so I try not to.. Will deal with whatever when I have to.
My Easter memory is white patent leather shoes, a new coat, dress & hat or lacy like doily to wear to mass on Easter Sunday. My Grandpa & Grandma always came to visit on Easter. We always had to remind Grandma to take that one tin curler out of the top of her head before going to mass. She had very thin hair & about 2 or 3 curlers would be enough for the top of her hair. Mom always made German Potato Salad & Ham with lots of other goodies. No matter how hard it was for her money wise, she always made sure we had an Easter Basket hidden with lots of treats. We kids, always put a Hard Boiled Egg in our Dads shoe. Like he didn't know since we did it every year...LOL...We had our own little Easter Parade at Mass . Everyone always was interested to see the new clothes of everyone in our small town. One family, who we considered "rich" bought their clothes in a city on other side of state. Always fun to watch them walk into church. Then pray because we probably committed the sin of Envy...LOL I think the only time I miss being a Catholic is at Easter time because of all the rituals. My kids always said I was very good at dishing out Catholic guilt. So, maybe once a Catholic always a Catholic even if I don't go to church anymore. But I figure church is anywhere in place or mind that I chose to make it. :-):-)
Do you have any Easter Memories that bring a smile to your face???
Ok, off to find another cobweb. I'd rather sit & drink tea, but..................

Love your Easter memories, Linda. I have good memories too. There was always an Easter basket and I remember white socks with the lace around the top. My mom was a wonderful seamstress and she always made both she and I a new Easter outfit. I remember how dressed up everyone used to be--even hats were worn--and there was usually a corsage for Easter. Mine was usually a pink carnation. I'd hunt Eggs after church with all the other kids. In my Easter basket there would always be a chocolate bunny. One of those hollow ones, and I'd always eat the ears first. Our Easter meal would always be at my grandparents house (my dad's parents), and all his five sisters and brother with their families would be there so it was a full house. All the moms would bring at dish, usually a couple of dishes, to add to the meal. We'd have another Easter egg hunt in my grandparents' yard after lunch. Good times!

I have many fond memories of Easter decorations inside and outside our house. Of candy filled baskets. Real baskets not plastic. Oh, and those sugar eggs that had a little scene inside. So pretty.
A new Spring coat and new Easter clothes. Mass on Easter morning in our little church.
Everybody being so happy to finally go back to doing or eating whatever they gave up for Lent. Do Catholics still do that?
The house smelling so good with an Easter Sunday meal cooking and fresh flowers as a centerpiece.
Looking for the Easter eggs we dipped in dye the day before. Both inside and outside the house.
There were some awful memories too with a nasty drunk in the house but the good always outweighed his nastiness.
I hope everyone remembers the good times and they make you smile.

Well, resorting to blackmail now!! How pathetic . I hope all the networks just stop broadcasting any of it for awhile. There is nothing new anymore in these briefings. It's just turned into a brag fest & whine/complain on Trumps behalf. He's using this forum now because he can't do rallies! We get more info from the Dr, nurses, scientists on the scene anyway. I wish every reporter would just quit showing up for these pressers. Trump lives for the moment he can embarrass or harass them anyway!
Sorry about the pharmacy tech courses, Amy.
Pat, there was a drunk in my house too. Like you, need to not dwell on them.
