Gee Phyl I am lame.....unable to find the party spring thread. Is it on this board?? I think its great that all those masks will be donated to that residential facility. Bet having a lot of extra masks will be a huge benefit to the residents . What a kind gesture to make and donate the masks to a place like that.
Gotta go on a hunt for where my stimulus check is.....guess there is an online site to do that. I did continue to try to organize my sewing area. After being in such a rush to get my BOM finished and to the long armer, it left me a bit disorganized. So I am getting that straightened out a bit. Got a rainy day here, actually its supposed to be rainy most of the week, so getting some more cleanup and housework/organization work done is good. Ginny

Happy new week all.
Ginny, the party thread was on the over 60's section. I don't really know many over there and I think that of the ones I do know, only two might possibly have posted there.
Well a rainy day is a good one to work on organizing your sewing room. ONe thing I dislike about moving from here even for a few months a year is that in other places it rains a lot.
I went to that stimulus find site.. Can't remember the site address, but it does have .gov at the end so it's legit. They didn't recognize me at all and dh they said something about not having info ready or something. They also said that if they don't have a direct deposit address for you they will mail a check. They do know our direct deposit address because of Social Security.
Craft wise I did pretty well over the weekend getting things completed. I finished the blanket, finished three small gift items and started another blanket. Today will be catch up in the house day....housework.

I tried again. This is what I got again "The information you have entered does not match our records. Please try again" I've tried again many times. I get the same thing. BTW it's at irs.gov
Back again,,,they say they are sending checks according to your agi so people that earned less than 10,000 are first then it goes up weekly so if you earned say 40,000 you won't even have your's sent until the last of May. I don't know if that is actually correct or not. It was on an ABC news site

I managed to get registered for the stimulus check and the process was pretty simple. Had to get out my 2018 taxes as they have not processed my 2019 taxes yet (which were done by early March). But its done, now the government owes me some money, which is nice. And if you just google “get my payment” it does take you right into the IRS page (the appropriate page). Easy enough to do- but you will need previous years taxes to do so.
I cleaned up the rest of my fabric, sort of , for now. That might be the extent of my crafting for the day.
gotta clean up from dinner and then get ready for study tonight. Ginny

I did that Ginny, but it said our info didn't match their records so it wouldn't let me put in my banks info etc.
It was beautiful today and now it's 4pm and has clouded over. I got out for a walk earlier. Did some "social distancing" talking to a couple neighbors one of which I had not met before

People on the other thread say that they have messages in their online banking that says "deposit pending" for their stimulus check anad also the date it's expected to be deposited. They also received emails. I have received nothing and can't get into the irs site...blahh... oh well I'll survive. Some people are saying they aren't worried because it's just going to go into savings anyway that they don't really need it. I'm planning to donate a bit of mine because the people I donate to won't be getting as much as they have been due to people being out of work.
They also said that if you sent in a paper tax return it will not be processed until they get time which could be quite awhile. I don't get a refund anyway but thought that someone might need this info to see why they didn't get their refund yet

think any guidance regarding the hows and where’s of these stimulus checks is appreciated. Some folks have gotten theirs already, friends of mine were shocked that I had to do what i did today. I do know that the IRS site was very picky and I ended up registering as Dh - whose name was on both the 2018 and 2019 tax returns, so it is legitimate. The IRS web site was very picky as far as wanting the amount you owed them or was refunded for the tax year that was to be used to identify the tax payer. I will let you know if I see the refund in my direct deposit- but I figure it will be at least a month before I see the stimulus check or my tax refund.

There is a large bright yellow orb in the sky which has not been seen here for a few days.....so I am going to go out shortly and gas up the car and get gas for the lawn mower.
And I chatted with a neighbor about the nest of geese at the pond. Someone, apparently also had a duck and momma duck abandoned her nest due to an injured fox in the area. So that person took the eggs to the gooses nest and momma goose has been sitting on the duck eggs also. Fortunately we have a pair of mallards at the pond also. Think we are all hoping that the little ducks will be raised by either the mallards or the geese. One baby duck has hatched and is so very darned cute.
And today I will text about my machine and see if the shop owner’s husband has gotten to look at it or not. Ginny

I hope your machine has been looked at and is working great now. BTW,,,how is the kitty doing? Did the vet visit help?
I don't know how much crocheting time I put in yesterday. I did a lot of other things in the house but I did start yet another baby blanket because I didn't like the yarn I was using. It was too fuzzy to use for that particular pattern. I started a nice dishcloth I found online and finished it this morning.I wish I hadn't run out of that color cotton yarn. I wanted to make a towel holder to match the two dishcloths but I'll have to wait on that. Don't want to order online for just one thing and I don't really want to order a bunch of yarn because I already have too much as you know. I'll work on the blanket today. I did look through my cotton yarns to see if I could find a color that would work for the towel holder but haven't found any yet

Hello Crafters - Hope you and your families are all doing well Regarding the stimulus checks, I wanted to let you know that I received a letter about my check in the mail the other day. It was dated April 15th and told about the stimulus and that my check was direct deposited in my account. I thought maybe you all might be getting letters too. It's been cool here for the last few days with some rain each day. I think the temps are going up to around 70 for the rest of the week, but more rain. I braved going out to the grocery store again yesterday I had to go to the bank, so I figured I might as well go to the store while I was out. There weren't a lot of people in the store, but it's exhausting shopping with the mask and trying to breath through it. Also, watching for the one way aisles and trying to avoid people. And then dealing with getting the food in the house and wiping it off and washing my hands multiple times. I'm glad I have enough food now that I won't have to go back to the store for a month. I sure hope things will be better by then. I'm thinking about starting to work on a quilt that I bought a kit/pattern for last year (I think). This is the kit/pattern that comes with the fabric: www.acowgirlquiltshop.com/shop/Fabric/-Clearance-/p/Courting-Autumn-Kit-from-Pioneer-Spirit-x23394673.htmIt's an intermediate pattern and has a lot of cutting and 4 pages of instructions I may just try a few of the first steps and then see if I want to continue. The "pictures" of the pioneer women are on a panel with two rows of 4 pictures each and some sashing between them, I'm not going to cut up the panel yet. If I find I don't like working the pattern the way it is, then at least I could still use the panel for another project. I really like this fabric line, but I wish I could make this quilt instead of the one I posted above: bearcreekquiltingcompany.com/shop/product/pioneer-spirit-times-turn-free-quilt-pattern/The fabrics in the kit are different from the ones in this picture though, so I don't know if I'd have enough fabric to make this quilt. I just need to start with the one I have and see what happens Take care everyone!

CJ, I really love that first quilt but it does indeed look like a lot of work. I like the second one too but the first is amazing. I'm going to walk down to my mailbox today and see if I have one of those letters. Happy quilting... Oh and I'm glad you were able to get enough food to last a month. Yes I think that most things will be opening up by then. We'll just have to see how that plays out before rushing out ourselves. It could be that that will cause a huge upsurge in cases and deaths but then, again, it might not. The virus may truly be on it's way out. Here's hoping. Not that I like to go out anyway and it looks as though prices are going to be terrible. How were they yesterday when you were shopping?

Ruth - I have to admit I didn't look at prices to see if there was any difference. I was just happy to get what foods were in stock, but my bill yesterday and the one last week were pretty high for the amount of groceries I bought. I know the grocery store circulars for my local stores have gone from 10 pages or more down to 2-4 pages. I guess there's no way they can have sale items in stock, which is a lot of what I used to buy. Hope you get a letter about your stimulus check

I was going to walk to the mailbox but the wind is blowing hard and I wouldn't be able to walk back against that wind as it's uphill. Wind always blows in that direction and hits you in the face while walking back.I might drive down there but if I can control myself I'll wait till tomorrow. I'd hate to go down there and end up disappointed anyway. I'm also hoping for a letter from a friend and also my grandaughter which also might not be there.
My store too has a very short weekly ad...for a few weeks they had only one page then 4 pages of info about the virus.
Yes I'm sure you were just glad to grab what you needed and get out. I haven't been in a store yet but I'm sure I'd feel the same

CJ- both quilts are pretty...but I agree that the Bear Creek fabrics are really lovely. My friend from church is making some mini quilts from their fabrics, and they are really nice. Glad you got to the store, I wonder if you can find another fabric to make the quilt you want as you want, or can you order more from the company?? Yes, my store ads are shrunken too to just a few pages.
Ruth, I hope that you got the letters you were waiting for. Sure sounds like its windy near you....how long a walk or drive is it to check your mail?
I mowed the lawn today...and went for a walk. My machine is back, but after working on a few masks now its telling me again that I have thread caught in the bobbin feed area. I tried cleaning it up...but it did not seem to work. So I turned it off and will give it a try again tomorrow. This is frustrating.
But tomorrow is another day. See ya and have a good night! Ginny
