I just saw a video of two white girls spray painting the entrance of a Starbucks and the lady filming who was black went up to them and said please don’t vandalize because when the cops show up and the media shows up they’re going to lay the blame on black people and we didn’t even do it. They tried to follow the two girls but they kept trying to duck out and not be seen. They had masks and scarves and sunglasses on so you couldn’t see them at all besides their hands and parts of their faces that were exposed. The organization of that counter movement is frightening. They have skin color on their side to give them the benefit of the doubt that black people don’t get.

There was a news clip of a group in Houston that is "praytesting" instead of protesting. No matter your faith, at least it's peaceful and non-combative. They were in a pavilion, not blocking roads or getting in the way of anything.

I feel bad for the businesses, too, just getting started after the pandemic shut them down for months, now having to stay shut down because of the riots and looting.

that's true, but i also saw a really powerful compilation of posts from small business owners, all of them in the compilation saying that while items can be replaced, lost lives cannot, so they stand in solidarity with the protesters.
