Hey we crossed paths....Ruth, My stimulus check is coming....I can see that the bank is waiting for the funds to clear. Try that web site again- try using your SS#, then try using Dh’s. I had to use my Dh’s SS# and my taxes from 2018.

I tried them both and they mine says it doesn't match their records and his says that they have no info.
Oh I'm so glad they have your yarn!!
Since I started my seeds indoors I don't have to bring them in but I am thinking of planting some flower seeds outside. I'm probably jumping the gun here but the weather so far has surprised everyone that's lived here awhile. This may actually be the year that the things that people plant early won't freeze.People keep trying but they've alway frozen.
Dh is putting up a shelf for me in the bedroom. We used to have a bookcase headboard but got a new frame which doesn't work with that and the bedroom layout is so that with a king size bed there's no room for a nightstand on my side.
I reminded ddil that I had asked about my youngest dgd's favorite color so she got back to me with that info so I can start her blanket. Now I need to decide which of the patterns I like I want to use.

So what color does DGD want for her afghan and do you have enough of that in the house??(If you do have enough I want to see your yarn stash! Ha ha ha) I hope that you are right and are able to put those flower seeds straight outside and have them grow. Ruth, What flower seeds did you put in? How nice of DH to construct a shelf for you....what are your plans for it? Don’t know what to do about your stimulus check. One last idea- I started my application for the stimulus check using my 2019 1040 info. They could not find it- and I had to go back to use my 2018 1040 info. Beyond that I have no idea ....and hope that you and Dh can find a way to get through to this system.
I put in some marigold seeds the other day- but as they have not sprouted, I won't bring them inside. Hard to believe that its supposed to be so cold in May.
Finished the free motion work on the baby quilt and then tried to start on the binding. this machine has so many settings and I just plum forgot how to change them back for normal sewing and not free motion work. I watched a few more videos....and found my solution. Might return to work on the binding later today.

Hello Crafters Sounds like everyone is doing pretty well and keeping busy with projects and other things. We've had some off and on weather the last few days - one day rainy, one day sunny, then a breezy day, cool then milder. I guess it's typical spring weather They are saying we could get a few wet snowflakes this weekend - if so I hope it doesn't mess up the shrubs and plants that are blooming. I started working on the quilt top (the one with the pattern) and did the strip piecing and put together one of the courthouse steps blocks. I think I'll be able to do some chain piecing with these blocks. It came out well and it's really pretty with these fabrics. The fabric is a really nice quality, it feels almost silky. Hope everyone is getting some crafting in and staying well. Take care!

Ginny, her favorite colors (for now anyway are pink, "purple" and teal. I had a story about purple being my favorite color but think I shared it before. Anyway, there are patterns on Daisy Farm Crafts for blankets that will be perfect. As far as the colors go, I know I have plenty of pink and I think I also have lilac in either POL or Caron one pound. I just hope the CAron is soft. I want a soft and "squishy" blanket. I do have some teal but not enough I don't think. Even though it seems as though those color wouldn't all go together I think that on some of the patterns it would work and on some you don't need much yarn of each color. I'm going to put them with the antique white because I have plenty of that. I'm glad the videos's helped you with getting your machine back to "normal" sewing. CJ, weather is like that here too but it sure sounds strange to hear that in your area you might get snowflakes. They claim that, although it will be cooler for a few days, that next Tues and Wed will be back to 70. Sounds like you got your quilting feeling back. I'm glad to hear it because even without seeing any of them I know your quilt tops are beautiful and I bet you have some fantastic table toppers.

CJ- nothing better than working with nice soft high quality fabric. We too are in for snow, sure seems odd for May! The good news is that it will melt quickly right?
Ruth- hope you are able to figure out the yarn situation and I agree that with the antique white mixed in all those colors could work out beautifully. Have you figured out what pattern to use?
Ended up with Dd and the grandkids here for a short while (they stayed outside) it was so nice to see them... DSIL finished the deck and it looks wonderful. Gonna go crochet awhile. GInny

Ginny. I never could get to where there was anything about using the 19 or 18 tax return. As to the pattern I'm not sure. I'm still working on the baby blanket and am nearly done so I want to finish that first even though it's not for anyone in particular. I have enough unfinished things already so have to start finishing them as I go.
Looked like snow here today but, although the temp dropped a lot...down to about 38 now I think...I really don't think we'll have snow but will have to wait and see I guess.

Ruth, go to IRS.gov and find the link for Economic Impact payments....scroll down a little bit and you will see the box to apply for the stimulus check. I just sent the screen to your email. Good luck

That's the one I've tried numerous times. It just will not recognize me or dh. I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Nice day today after a dreary day yesterday. It's nice and sunny but cool and breezy. I'll finish the baby blanket today and gather the yarn for dgd's blanket then decide what pattern to use.

I did a little outdoor work, actually very little. I also planted some flower seeds indoors to move outside when we know it's not actually going to snow again and freeze them. Way back on April 10th or 11th I planted two kinds of tomato seeds....brands actually. One was a real cheapy seed and they were also old. They were for season 2016. Then I planted better ones that were recently bought online and were supposedly a good brand from a good company. Well you guessed it. The bad seeds germinated and sprouted and the good ones didn't. The ones that did though are very tiny so will have to do a lot of growing before being put outdoors. I also did the usual household chores and am now ready to sit and crochet. Oh I also drove down to the mailbox since I started another vehicle to keep the battery charged.
I hope you're all having a good day

Trying to have a good day....and actually it has not been too bad. Spent the am doing some financial stuff, which little by little gets done. Ruth that does not surprise me that the older and less expensive seeds germinated better than the newer pricier ones. Its always that way, isn’t it?
I found some seeds today, and really don’t have to buy any now. I did find some old pumpkin seeds, I hope that they will germinate just because I think it would be fun to grow pumpkins again. THe other seeds are flower seeds, so I guess I am all set. Had to bring in all my plants mid day in preparation for the cold and snow tonight. And I moved the living room furniture around...which was a good thing for Ds and me. Its a pleasant layout now- it was nice before too, but I think I kind of like this better, at least for a little while. And I vacuumed under all the furniture.
gonna sit down and crochet. Ginny

Ginny, I'm glad you found some seeds... what a nice thing to happen. The flower seeds I planted today are really old so we'll see if they grow. I planted some allyssum seeds in one of my pots with a plant that was already there. They took months to germinate but now it's a huge plant spread all over. Of course it's supposed to be ground cover but I just wanted to see if they would even grow...they were really old. I'm going to try to transplant it outside when it gets and stays warmer. This one is white and I'll definitely be buying some of this in other colors.
I have one more row of the baby blanket border to do then that's done. I got the yarn together for dgd's blanket and am going to try a pattern that I just saw. It's interesting...they call it zigzag puffs blanket.

Happy Saturday!!
Ruth, got my fingers crossed that those alyssum seeds germinate. Its such a pretty little flower- I had a few years in which mine self seeded and came back . I am thinking good thoughts for your seeds - it would be so nice if they germinated. The flower seeds I found are two years old, so I am reasonably optimistic that when I can actually put seeds outside that these will germinate. Funny just the other day I was wondering when I would get into a store to buy my zinnia seeds...(my favorites) and I found these. Thank you Lord for providing that very simple answer to a concern for me. The zig zag puffs afghan sounds adorable!! Leave it to you to take on a new pattern- and I am sure it will come out absolutely perfect. (I am not that brave). What colors did you finally settle on ??
Got a few more rows of the baby afghan done last night.
Dd#2 is coming over this am for her normal laundry day. I will also be an audience for her for an online class that she is providing a demo for for online learning....
Its winter here!!! Woke up to snow and 30 degrees and the peonies are not looking good- they had buds on and did get hit by the cold. Hope my vegetable garden is ok, which I did cover over last night.
Have a good day all

Good morning, hope to get some cleaning done today.
we will celebrate Mother's day next weekend.we like to grill out and tomorrow it will be 50 degrees with rain.
course now Margie won't make it as they will be camping the next two weekends. have to try out the new camper. this was my idea to change the day.
haven't worked on the masks for about 2 days.
sometimes seeds take a little longer to gerimnate.my marigolds seem to take longer to come up. I have them in my wishing well . we just let them go to seed. then water the well in the spring and they come back up.sometimes I add to it.
seeds in the ground may be waiting for the ground to warm up.
I am not sure if Don planted anything yet. ground is still cold here.maybe some stuff that grows under ground for awhile. have a good Saturday. phyl

well the allysuum germinated fine and is a huge plant how but the other flowers I planted yesterday I don't remember the name and am too lazy to walk out to my dining room to find out. They are very old. I think it said packed for 2009. Your's should do fine at only two years but those one year old tomato seeds of mine didn't do well at all. One plant came up out of 12. Good thing I had those old tomato seeds.
It's really great that your dd's do come over or you meet them while walking but are still able to do distancing. Seeing the grandchildren must really brighten your life.
Phyl, I don't plan on celebrating Mother's Day at all. I hope you have a good time at your celebration and I hope the weather cooperates.
Last evening I did finish the baby blanket I was working on and since there was still time before time to sleep I made a couple scrubbies with a circle of scrubbie yarn (that stuff is hard to work with) and then cottong yarn with an edging of five dc clusters that make it look like a flower. It's just so pretty for such a small thing. I may have to make a bunch of those.
Cool here today. It's only 43 so far but at least no snow like you got Ginny.
