jamescat1 Oh, Audrey, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's home and the fire. Such a tragedy, esp. at this holiday time. @beckyw2016 Hope your knee improves. Go easy at Curves. New name? It threw me a second! You're trying to confuse Pat! 100gone I had the same thing happen when I took Ceclor (antibiotic). I've taken it for years but on this occasion I broke out with hives and lots of itching. I've never taken it again because the doctor said there were other drugs I could take. What confused me is Ceclor is a penicillin but I can take other penicillins with no problem. Good luck!

Thanks Linda! The dentist asked me if I was allergic to penicillin or the like and since I've only taken it once about 20 years ago, I didn't think I was. I guess you can always develop an reaction.

Audrey jamescat1, I'm so sorry for your friend! Fire scares me! Pat pbnj , I'm sorry for the loss of your friend! It's never easy, but this time of the year, plus everything else going on in your life, it makes it harder! Thank you all for the birthday wishes yesterday! It was a bright moment that's for sure! Yesterday was a CRAZY day at work. It was one of my busiest days of the semester, grade were due! There was a water main break on campus about two buildings over from me. It flooded 7 buildings including our basement (thank goodness I'm on the 3rd floor)! They had to shut the power to all 7 buildings off because the water was affecting electrical stuff (all of our utilities are underground). Well, we had our department holiday lunch in the Student Union, which also lost power, but they still had their buffet with lost of warm food and the salad bar we could eat from. We each got about a half plate of food eaten and then they had to evacuate the building! To say the least, I hope the department doesn't have to pay for it! The good thing out of it all was we got the afternoon off! I hope you all have a great day!!

Hi, Everyone...quick check in, in case I don't make it tomorrow. Everything went great today; we knocked over half of what was estimated for packing, etc, which was lovely...now if we could take some off the 8 hours that are estimated for the move, LOL. But, all good. I have had a good bit of time this afternoon to rest, so I'm not feeling quite the wreck I was this AM, and will go to my last Salem yoga class in a bit. jamescat1 So glad that things are okay with you and so sorry for your friends. borntexan I can't get my right knee to completely straighten anymore either, sometimes it's worse than others. But, good for you for seeing what exercise you can do; I think that has to be the secret of getting through this. No time to post to all, but everyone take care, best you can.

I was going to change my name when I registered and I forgot but I do have beckyw2016 in my signature.I was able to do a full w/o at Curves just a little slower and was able to take a walk this afternoon. It seems it's like the walk is what hurts it more.I think it's more my arthritic knee and sometimes the pain shoots a little lower to my leg.I can straighten it out today but it feels a little sore around the knee.

linda72, you probably not take any penicillin. It is better to be safe than sorry. Your reactions could get worse.

Thank you all for the kind words for our friends who lost two of their cats and their home this week. They were at home and if the fire started in the attic, it could have been smoldering a long time before they smelled smoke.
