The ZOOM meeting capped out, leaving a lot of disappointed registrants (why did they register more than the Zoom capacity?); they are also livestreaming it on Facebook.

DivaReview:
I turned on that Oprah ZOOM/FB Livestream and had it running "in the background" as I did other things.
It was interesting, in that she had two full computer screens of carefully-chosen WW members whom she kept addressing by name and whose faces could be seen by all viewers especially if Oprah interacted with them to "work through" their issues.
The ZOOM had a large capacity (I saw two numbers mentioned - 4,000 and 40,000) but that had been exceeded and "the rest of us" pre-registered or not, could view and comment on FB.
Will I watch any of the others? Let's say that I won't park myself in front of a screen, but I will probably put it on again as background (listening "with one ear").
They do send out a fillable PDF handout ahead of time to give a hint as to what's going to be discussed.
Oprah was the moderator/leader/"coach" throughout. So it looks like she's being given a more substantial role/presence in the company right now. Even the title of this multi-week presentation tags off her VISION 2020 tour.

The second session, Oprahโs Your Life in Focus: A Vision Forward, is today, Saturday 5/23.
The topic is relationships.
I was able, at a couple of minutes to 11 AM, to get into Zoom <!!!> as opposed to last week's overwhelming overcrowding on that platform. I opted out and went to the WW-FB page instead. I only want this to run in the background while I go about some chores within earshot.
There is some woman blogger who is speaking "with authority" on how to make shelter-at-home relationships "better".
They kind of lost me when Oprah spoke about how thrilled everyone in her house was, "when the staff was off for the day and SHE cooked". And the woman spoke about how people take each other for granted with things like meal prep and folding laundry. They just said we should say things like "thank you for folding that laundry really well" - no lie.
As I said, it's in the background.
The lovers gonna love, the others gonna tune out.
I'm listening with my sociologist ears...

Be a lamp or a lifeboat or a ladder. Sounds like a recipe for electrocution if you are an over-achiever.

I tried to watch it the 1st week. Turned it off after 20 minutes. Too much psycho babble, and watching it on YouTube it would cut out every 30 sec. or so and I'd get the wheel of death and then the sound would resume.
I keep giving WW 2nd chances that I'm starting to feel they don't deserve. They have strayed so far from their basic concept and mission, I'm not sure what their direction is, if they have one.

Yep, this. I was talking to my daughter about things that are going on at WW and she said that although she went to meetings years ago after she gained weight with pregnancy she would never join again. She has no need to now but even so, she is totally turned off by what Weight Watchers has turned into. She also mentioned the cost, as in "why would I pay for that when there are so many programs that are cheaper or free?" She also was repulsed about the recent firings and how they were conducted. As an accountant who now works from home due to COVID-19 and attends many Zoom meetings she was horrified when she heard what happened, said she couldn't imagine having her audio turned off, being fired with a scripted announcement, and having no chance to interact with her manager. This Oprah thing, to me, is a gimmicky attempt to pull in customers with what they perceive is trendy. I am not sure WW is going to survive this.
