I'm IN. How about you?
Today is St. Joseph's Day... www.catholicculture.org/culture/liturgicalyear/activities/view.cfm?id=1024
Fortunately, our household can avoid all the carb-y indulgences and since it's Sunday Toots will "miss" them at work as well.
Our plan for the day? Brief grocery run, definitely a mall run <omg>, then Sunday Steak Dinner at Outback. NASCAR (Phoenix) this afternoon.
Have a healthy-eating day, all!

diva49, I do know about St.Joseph's day, I went to St. Joseph's Academy in St.Louis! We used to get the day off from school. Nothing exciting on my agenda, church, haircut, grandkids, going to try London Broil on my new George Forman. Any tips? Happy Sunday

Good morning! Already back from driving J to church so I could have the car this afternoon to head to Boston. Looking forward to some basketball at noon (Go Blue!) and some wandering around Beacon Hill on this dreary-looking day.
Have a good one!

Good morning! The grands spent the night last night; we had a fun day with them. DGS is awake but DGD is sleeping in. Their parents are bringing us all breakfast this morning...yum!
Hope everyone has a great day. It's a beautiful, sunny day here. May get a little yard work done.

Good morning everyone. Hope you’re all doing well.
Weather report: gray with change of rain (Chance of meatballs would be more welcome! In honor of St. Joseph, of course.).
lmenglish , I don’t “do George” often any more, but when I first bought mine I ruined everything I cooked. It took me a long time before I realized that it like barbecuing except from both sides—the time food takes to cook is 1/2 or less the time it would take on the barbecue where you’d have to cook one side, turn it, and cook the other side. Getting started, I suggest “less is more” with testing by thermometer to help you get the timing perfect. Good luck.
I do not have anything on tap for today. But I think I’ll be out finding something to do because I don’t want to just sit around all day. Some menu planning for the week might be in order.
Seems like I slept well enough with only one interruption with low blood sugar around 2 AM—all I can say is that Pineapple juice costs a lot of SmartPoints!I think I used 18 SmartPoints on Pineapple juice yesterday.
Keep on keeping on!

Checking in. I'm having Chinese tonight. Moo shoo chicken very light oil no sugar. I have no idea how to calculate the points but I gave it a lot.

zazzles, just caught your post from last night, combined with this one above, do you think with your new machine and following SPs maybe you should talk to your doc about tweaking your meds? *said in mom voice*

Good morning. zazzles The pineapple juice is worth the points if it keeps your blood sugar stable. One of my staff is diabetic and I had to call the police on Friday because his blood sugar dropped and he was unresponsive. We had police, EMTs, and a paramedic in the office. Scary scene! Yesterday was my day for fun so today is chore day. Cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping. Have a good Sunday all!

100gone , DebDoesWW , thanks for the concern.
Deb, you’re right—the CGM provides amazing insight. And 100, if your worker was using a CGM, the system would alert him to highs and lows before he reached the point of needing medical intervention. In face, it sounds like he may suffer from hyopglycemia unawareness and, if so, he might be able to qualify for a CGM under his insurance (assuming he has insurance).
As for me, I’m working to fine tune both diet and insulin to keep the BS in a desirable range. Sadly, although I’ve been doing SmartPoints four four days and have stayed under the calories that WW’s formula says I should eat to lose weight, Im gaining. That’s the effect of insulin working—causing the cells to uptake sugar they don’t need and convert it to stored fat. But today in particular I feel good, and that’s a sign of improvement. So I’ll keep plugging along—and carrying my juice with me when I leave the house!
