oh my god this is so funny (and annoying considering how these asshats acted), but the meme is hilarious. they think they're bonnie and clyde! for background, these two fools brandished guns and pointed them at protesters who were calling for the resignation of st. louis, MO mayor for publicly disclosing the names and home addresses of those who wrote her letters calling for police funding reform. the irony is that this couple are both attorneys who have a personal injury/civil rights violations firm. i have no idea why they thought it was their job to come out and threaten the protesters. they should have stayed inside, not antagonized them, and since they live in a gated community, they needed to let the security team handle it, not them personally.

This picture is a perfect poster for a rally opposed to guns.
Look at them. Would you hire them? Would you trust them with your children or pets or your plants? Would you be their neighbor? Would you buy a used car from them? Invite them over for lunch and drinks?

i certainly wouldn't want to hire them for my representation for any civil rights litigation! they don't care about the very protesters they are trying to appear to support. in words, they say they support BLM and don't want angry white detractors to harm the message. behold, everyone! the angry white detractors right here in this picture!

i giggle though, i must admit everytime i look at the picture. him with his rambo gun thinking he's a badass. quite honestly, she does look a little badass (in a weird movie outttake thelma and louise kind of way) but not enough to keep me from thinking she's an idiot for doing this.

A few things I read about this couple. One, they said they felt scared, like their house was going to be "stormed like the Bastille" and burned down. Didn't matter that the protestors were only walking down the street, on the other side, towards another destination. It had to all be for show. It would have made much more sense, if they were truly scared, to stay inside and call the police.

luanne, I swear I read that the couple said someone was yelling at them that they were going to burn their house down? If that is the case, I think I'd have barricaded myself inside and let the police handle it, you know?

He looks like a pop-eyed turtle to me. I know, his looks are not the issue. Talk about the Repubs possibly losing the Senate has got them repositioning. DH saw the "white power" video that was tweeted and then removed. Nothing says "white power" like an old geezer in a golf cart. Execept that he will undoubtedly vote. I saw reports that it took three hours to delete the tweet because DT was golfing and put his phone down and no one could reach him. Good thing his participation in government is not needed. Now if he could just lose the phone permanently...

he was golfing when there was important work to do. how does that not surprise anyone. i remember back when there was a mass shooting (i forget which one of the many) and DT who tweets everytime he takes a dump was completely radio silent. dan rather posted a really robust FB post criticizing him for his silence and i shared it on my page. my SIL (who was a trump supporter, doubt she'd admit it these days) tried to argue that there was a tweet and shared the picture. it was from a totally different POTUS twitter account that he doesn't use. meaning someone else on staff hurried up and added a tweet making it sound like it was him due to all the criticism of his silence. of course my SIL was fooled. his supporters frequently are and easily. i ignored her.
regarding that couple, they antagonized this 100% thinking they were tough stuff. no one was coming to their house. no one gave a shit about them. they decided to come out with their guns ablaze like they're in a movie. the man swears that someone in the crowd said they were coming back for them and he took that as a threat. but the protesters say that those people came out threatening them. who to believe? some people marching down the street without guns or a man pointing a rifle without anyone having done anything to him?

I thought Bonnie and Clyde live in a gated community. On LI, NY you can't get into a gated community without a code.
A protest would never be allowed inside the gates.
I'm thinking this is nothing more than a PR stunt. People are talking about them. The NRA might use them as poster kids! They're like rock stars. They have their own photographer too!
I can see them on the cover of guns and ammo magazine.

yeah seriously! they are heroes to the gun nuts.
maybe business wasn't going well and they didn't want to risk losing their mansion so they figured this would be a good way to get something.
the news article i read showed a picture of the gate. it appeared to be torn down and mangled. seems strange to be able to tear down an iron gate but who knows.
