*waves* Ron ad I both had eye doctor appointments yesterday. I think it's the first time I've been "around people" (so to speak) since all this started and I was extremely anxious. Everyone had on masks, the office was extremely professional but really nice. They have been open through all of this and the receptionist told me they've been pretty busy the whole time. I only went because I have to get my drivers license renewed this year (July, but the offices are still not open and there's a 60 day leniency period after they open if your license expires during the shut down). The doctor said I shouldn't have any trouble passing without glasses (20/30 right eye; 20/35 left) so my vision is unchanged since the last time I went - 5 years ago lol. He told me to take my distance glasses with me, but not wear them unless I can't pass it without them. wwlurker, that's fantastic on the weight loss sunrose49, DotRen, irisinnia, wwlurker, amyrs, cj59, hope you are all safe and well

DotRen - I'm glad that your eye appointments went well and now you can get your driver's license renewed. My eye doctor's office let me know they were open again and reminded me I need an appointment, but I'm not ready yet. It was the same with the dentist opening. I hope to feel better about going in a few months. I read about the procedures these offices have in place and it does sound like they are doing a good job with protecting the patients and themselves. I actually weighed myself yesterday - I'd been afraid to do it. It's not great, but wasn't as bad as it could be and made me realize I could do something now to not make it worse. Hope you are all having a good weekend

cj59, they were really good. Masks were required, on both sides. They took our temperatures before putting us in exam rooms. They sanitized everything. If someone touched it, they were wiping it down -even glasses frames after I was selecting mine.

I did tell the receptionist and the doctor that I have allergies and some disinfectants will set me off sneezing or coughing, just to forewarn them. It didn't, thank goodness, but they both thanked me for letting them know lol.

Hi everyone! DotRen, cj59, I need to go to the dentist and I'm not sure I'm ready. I feel like I am around people enough for my job that I still want to avoid unnecessary contact with people in all other aspects of my life. I WI this weekend and kept the 1 pound loss, even though I haven't really been following anything. I'm trying to make reasonable choices overall. This week I really want to focus on managing my time and energy. Now that I'm back to work, it's very important that I am on top of everything. It's so easy to let the housework, personal errands and chores go when I am working because my job is so busy that when I get home, all I want to do is chill out. Hope you all are doing well!

Good morning
wwlurker, WTG with the scale!!
cj, I actually went to the Dentist yesterday. I was so nervous. I was so impressed with the steps put in place to keep people safe.
dotren, luckily I don't wear glasses except to read. I just buy store bought ones.
Need to get ready for jazzercise. Hope everyone stays well.

cj59, same, I wear them for reading and the computer, but not for driving. I've never noticed I have any issues reading road signs unless they're way far off lol. wwlurker, I know the feeling. I can't make myself go to the grocery store yet. Ron and JD have been working and running occasional errands throughout all this, but they're both very careful to wear masks, use hand sanitizer, wipe surfaces and wash hands.

Hello Everyone DotRen - I'm glad the eye appointment well well and they had good procedures in place. I need glasses for distance and for the computer and I could never adjust to bifocals so I have 3 pairs of glasses, one for regular wear, sunglasses for regular wear and computer glasses wwlurker - Congratulations on keeping your loss and working on making good food choices, I guess that's all we can really do. I hope things go well when you go back to work, sorry to hear it's so busy there. sunrose - I admire you keeping up with your jazzercise, I'm glad you enjoy it. It's nice to hear that your dental office had good procedures set up. I'm sure mine does too. I'm also stressed about going out anywhere. I really want to spend this summer getting some paper goods and dry goods stocked up, just in case we end up having another problem with the virus later this year. But it's such a draining experience wearing the mask, worrying about what I'm touching, dealing with the other customers and the check out people. I would never have thought things could get like this so quickly. Hope you and your families stay safe and well. Have a great day!

I'm coming down with something. It's "the usual" thankfully lol. My throat, ear and teeth on my left side = sinus/allergy issues. I'm kind of surprised it hasn't happened sooner, I usually get them 2-3x a year when the seasons change.

Good morning
dotren, hope you are feeling better.
cj, it is stressful going out. I need to hit the grocery store later today. I don't really like going on the weekend. I have a hard time with the mask. It will be nice to hopefully one day be back to normal.
Hope everyone is doing well. I have jazzercise at 9:30 this morning and then not sure what I'll do. It is humid here.

Good morning! sunrose49, much better, thanks Still sniffly - but with the dust plume from the Sahara hitting soon, I expect it will pick back up lol. How are your jazzercize classes going during this? Took Murray yesterday for his skin cultures. They basically took some treated q-tips and swiped any areas they saw that looked scabby. Of course he's clearing up so there were only 3-4 spots, but they can hopefully get a good read from those. It will take 10 days for it to come back and show what kind of bacteria or fungus it is. It won't always be the same thing, but knowing this will give the vet a "first line" of antibiotics or anti-fungal to start with next time it flairs up, instead of just going through the line-up until something works. Hope you all are well

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well and enjoying your weekend sunrose - I know what you mean about going shopping now. I try to stay out of the stores on the weekend too and wearing the mask is draining! Hope your shopping trip goes well and you enjoy your jazzercise class DotRen - I'm glad to hear you are feeling better I sure hope they can find something to help Murray - poor thing I read about that dust plume, when is it scheduled to hit your area? It seems like it would dissolve coming from all the way across the ocean I really don't know what to say about how I'm doing. I sure can't complain because I'm very fortunate in many aspects of life and I'm not eating that badly, but I have slacked off on exercise and wish I could get motivated to get back to that. Take care everyone

We're getting it now, should be heavier later this week. I guess it's such super dry air that it doesn't pull up moisture from the ocean like a hurricane does (or something like that).
I bit the bullet and ordered Ron a riding mower for a late Fathers day gift. It should be delivered Friday. He's been eyeing them, but every time I tell him to go get one, he waffles. When it's 95+ here with 80% humidity, it's tough to push mow it. JD usually does it, but one of these days he'll move out (haha.. yeah probably not). They'll still have to do the little parts with a weed eater (around the water meter, carport legs, near the porch and flower beds), and we have a pretty steep drainage ditch in the front (thanks city...) that will need to be push mowed, but the rest should only take about 15 minutes riding.
