Susie, DT is a dealer and I think he will not give up until he has a medical bill that will pass. The Congress need to get their act together. I don't know a lot about OB care as I get my medical through Kaiser in Ca. and I don't see much change in my medical care. But I do see that OB care is a problem for other members of my family.
Gary I hope CPAP continues to work well.

I agree Meg, I have to believe they will. I am not a purist, and I can take serious fixing of BO care, vs repeal, but I just don't think this bill was it. They need to go bold and put the relief up front as much as possible, rather than telling us that will be phase 2 or 3. I still think the market will start to drive the prices and choices given the freedon to do so.
I am certainly willing to pay more to help others, but doubling and tripling premiums and deductables is not the answer. BO care was just cruel to millions who were paying the freight. The Dems didn't care, it was always about breaking the system and taking over for political power.

I don't plan on retiring for about 3 years so I am still on Walmart BC/BS insurance. I am hoping by the time I am on Medicare Part B and some supplement the healthcare law will be fixed. Timing is everything. That said, I am still extremely disappointed with the Republican congress. They had 7 years to come up with a replacement plan. All they would have had to do was vote for full repeal of Obamacare and put the new law in place. They blew it totally and I believe there will be backlash next election.

Gary, I agree the Republicans made a mess of voting on the health care bill. I do not blame the President he gave a lot of his time listening and working with them. The Democrats are making a farce out of the Judge Gorsuch hearings. Our elected politicians are just not in touch with the American people. There is so much that needs to be done and they waste their time being devious. I am really tired of both parties.

Graham is saying that they will use the Reid Option if Dems drag their feet. I hope he is talking truth. He is one of the weakest links in the party; so maybe if he has the kajoles to do it, the rest will.
Hopefully, they will also be able to fill another vacancy, and they should not hesitate to pull the HR option in that case. I don't expect them to be able to do everything. I do expect them to show some guts.

Susie, I agree. It's time to give the Dems a taste of their own medicine after all one of their own Harry Reid set up the nuclear option so why don't we use it.

We avoid using underhanded methods because we are honest (for the most part) and abide by the rules. The Democrats played dirty when they had control, but they gave us the same options they used when we are in control. They have shown us that they will use every underhanded trick in the book to block Trump's agenda and try to take him down. When faced with an unfair fight all options are on the table.

Good statement Gary. I agree. That is why as much as I would like to do it big, conservatives tend to be principled. (I am by no means saying that PR or a lot of the republicans are conservative) But, Dems hang and move the football inch by inch, wheras republicans tend to go for either all or nothing on the conservative side, or on the liberal side bend over. We are faced with quite a conundrum. We don't have a lockstep congress like the Dems do.
I guess what I am saying is I hope we can hold our noses and at least give them 2018 with hopefully a few more seats to make some headway in fixing the disaster that was BO.

In my own humble opinion....I really don't know why there was this great big rush to get a new plan. It took the dems over a year to present Obamacare. I get really tired of hearing "well, the republicans had 7 years to come up with something else". Seriously? Does anyone else remember that first year of Obama....everything the Republicans came up with was instantly rejected by Obama. So....why spend 7 years coming up with something that would be rejected.....especially since the MSM had Hillary winning by a landslide...I can imagine what these people must have felt. Anyway, I am kind of glad it did not pass.....please take the time to come up with something better.
Had an interesting weekend. Met up with some friends for dinner, and I was sitting next to a Hillary supporter...the conversation turned to the health care bill...I said that my opinions don't agree with yours, so I really don't want to talk about it. Well, she insisted to tell me all about the "things she heard on the news" and all that so since she decided to ignore my request to not discuss it, I voiced my own opinions too. I talked about the Obama claim of keeping your doctor and fees and all of that and how it had a bad effect on my family...and she really did not have an answer to that. To top off the evening, I went to the ladies rest room, was in my stall (sorry for the visual) and I could hear a couple of ladies that came in, very loudly, and one said: Did you hear that table next to us? They are all REPUBLICANS. Then she said..."ooh who else is in here". And of course I shouted out "A REPUBLICAN AND PROUD OF IT". And came out of the stall and said "hey...want to rumble?" and of course followed up with I'm just kidding. And she said "Oh, I hope we didn't offend you with our talk at our table". And i said....I'm not easily offended. Went back to my table, looked around, those ladies were way on the other side of the place....so......yaaayyy....republicans were everywhere. And as a side note, I would not burst into a restroom and start mouthing off about the next table being a bunch of liberal whiners that have no idea what the real world is about.
The disgusting story out of Rockville Maryland...and how the school officials are trying to spin it...and how some of the mainstream media choose to ignore the story. Wow, really shameful.

I too am not in a huge hurry for them to get Obamacare replaced so long as they DO get it done, and preferably before I retire in about 3 years. It sounds like they are giving up on it which is why I think we need to continue cleaning house and elect representatives who will do the will of the people.
