Good afternoon
flyingcathy, welcome to the group. Hope you keep checking us out.
dotren, our farmer markets just opened.
cj, how are you doing?
Amy, you have a good plan in place.
Waving to all.
I am keeping up with my exercise. Eating is not so good. I'll be back tomorrow.

DotRen - I hope you'll receive a response back to your request. They have to figure out a way for people to get their driver's licenses! That's funny about someone driving into your local Motor Vehicle building sunrose - I'm doing well. Not really eating on plan or anything though I'm glad you are keeping up with your exercise. I wish I hadn't let mine slide, it's difficult to get started back up again. Hope everyone else is doing well

lol so funny- a couple of hours after I sent the email, they had an announcement that the offices would be opened (limited - by appointment only). I know my email had nothing to do with it, but it's still funny Is anyone else suffering from overload apathy? I'm finding it really hard to "care" about anything right now. Between the constant ongoing bad news, the politics, just everything- bah humbug (my tribute to Christmas in July ).

I just called Home Depot customer support and am still getting the run around about the mulch kit they forgot to send with the mower. The final suggestion was that the store call the manufacturer (troy built) and see if they can ship me one. It's very frustrating. She said they can't issue a partial refund (it would be about $90 for the cover and blade) since it was part of the package, and suggested we return the mower - I said no -the mower is about 400 pounds and the store is an hour drive away. No thanks. Good grief. It's funny, too, I swore last time with the mattress delays that I'd never use HD for anything large again, but Ron wanted the Troy Built mower (lowes had the exact same lawnmower, but it was a Craftsman brand).
I think I'll just sew today to take my mind off it all lol.
I have a t-shirt with dolman sleeves that I really like, I think I'll try to just copy and paste (lol) the shirt and see if I can duplicate it. There are lots of youtube videos about using a piece of clothing instead of a pattern.
ALso, I talked to the vet yesterday. Murray has been "off" on his eating - either not finishing his food or occasionally throwing up. So I asked the vet if we could cut back on the keflex to 2x2 a day instead of 3x2 and he said that was fine, the 3x was a really large dose. He still has 10 days of pills, so that was 6 a day for 21 days - I don't blame him for getting sick!

Hi everyone! I am plugging along. I haven't really been watching my eating very much - just trying to make sure that I eat something during the day and that I don't go too overboard at night. Overall, I think I've been doing fairly well in that department, but there's still lots of room for improvement. It's tough with being back to work and not having any time to plan and make healthy meals. I'm really trying hard not to get back into old habits (eating out all of the time, making several trips to the grocery store a week, which results in more treats coming into the house), but it's tough. I've also been trying to go on walks more often, just to move a bit more. DotRen, a new sewing machine is so exciting! I've had mine for about 15 years, and it gave me nothing but headaches for the first 14 or so! It's a pretty basic machine but it's finicky. I am just now finally learning how to solve all of the issues I've been having with it. I replaced the bobbin casing a couple of months ago and that has worked wonders. Also, DD9 has given me lots of little sewing tips that have made me a much better sewist. She has been taking sewing classes for two years and is quite the little sewist. I've thought a lot about getting a new machine but I think that since I'm just getting my feet under me with this machine, I will probably stick with it for the time being and upgrade eventually when I have more experience under my belt. Hope you all have a great day!

Hello Everyone sunrose - I will keep you and your son in my thoughts and hope that his test is negative and he feels better soon. DotRen - You have "the power" - I know you were the one that opened Motor Vehicles I hope Murray feels better soon. wwlurker - Nice to see you post and I'm glad you are plugging along - I think that's all any of us can do right now. Hope everyone is doing alright and hanging in there. These last few months have been so stressful for everyone and it doesn't sound like the next few months will be much different. I hate to think we will have to wear masks in public for a lot longer, but I think that will be the case. It's worth it to stop the spread though. Take care!

sunrose49, sending positive thoughts your way. I hope your son is ok. I'm also thinking of all of you south of the border. I can only imagine how stressful it is to have everything opening back up and seeing the new cases climb. I'm in a little bubble where there are very few active cases and it's still stressful to go out and see people disregarding public health recommendations. Hopped on the scale today out of curiosity and found that I am holding strong. I am about the same as I was when I went back to work in the office a month and a half ago. I'd still like to drop some more, but I'm pleased that I haven't crept back up.

sunrose - Just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and your DS amrys - Congratulations on the weight loss. I hope you enjoy the virtual meeting this weekend wwlurker - Congratulations on holding strong, that's part of the battle too My state was one of the ones that had a lot of cases early on, so I felt most of that stress back in March and April. But I worry again now that we are seeing so many new cases across the country. And I've always felt bad for those workers that had to go out and be exposed to the virus. I was very fortunate that I could stay home. I hope the virus will soon die out across our world. Take care everyone and have a good day.
