Hey CJ- we crossed paths.....I completely agree with you regarding Covid. Where you live got hit very hard also with infections. I donโt get it why some of the states did not learn from what happened to the mid Atlantic/ Northeast states. Thanks for the links for the jelly snowflake quilt blocks....doubt I will get to it this time but its good to know that you know how to work the system. I am sure Phyl will enjoy working on it. G

choney2, I'm so sorry for your loss phyl, sorry for the loss of a friendship Funny about the doll clothes and critiques. My home ec teacher in high school was the same that was my moms. When we were doing a basic circle skirt, I had a problem with keeping the hem even, and she said "your mother had the same problems" mortified me then -makes me laugh now cj59, gramma15, snowsaint, *waves*

I took the woofers and hb out for a stroll in the backyard a short while ago. He needs to use a walker now, but he doesn't know that yet. There are three in the house, so today I will place them in strategic locations after I dust them off and make sure everything is working correctly. I won't ask him to walk the very short route I take unless he is using one. He had to stop and sit down twice. The total distance was 200-400 feet.
The car has no hail damage that I could see. No loose shingles. Some damaged screens on the screened in porch but not enough to file a claim.
I brought up some of the warp thread I'm planning to use on the little loom, but it may be a while before I do anything with it!

Hey Sue, getting ready to start a project is half the battle finding the right materials and supplies that are needed. Yes, its a challenge getting some to use a health aid like a walker. good for you being ready for when he needs it. Such a challenging time.
Rene-thanks for the condolences....hope you are doing ok.
Dd#1 went into the hospital early this am- I have the kids. They have been very good. Labor is going slowly.....

Hello Crafters Rene - That's a cute story about your Home Ec teacher and your circle skirt making adventures Sue - I'm glad you didn't have any serious hail damage. Ginny - I hope everything goes well for your DD and the baby - it's exciting Phyl and Meg - Hope you are crafting. Ruth - I saw a Facebook page the other day that I thought you might enjoy looking at the pictures. This person does quilting and crocheting and I went there to look at her blocks for the Jelly Snowflake and Silver Linings quilt and then saw the crochet items. I love the hat with a band that she made - it's on her post on July 4th. Such pretty colors and adding the band really set it off. Below that she has posts of animals she has crocheted. I also like the mermaid she did. Here's a link: www.facebook.com/twoneedlesandahook/ETA: I just saw that this facebook is posting things for sale. I didn't realize that before, so I wasn't promoting it or anything, just looking at the pretty pictures I haven't gone outside today. I'm trying to talk myself into getting the mail. It's just all junk probably, but I try not to leave it out there since I'm on that busy road. I worked on a table runner quilt this morning and hope to get to the BQ2 Carnation quilt this week too. Tomorrow they will issue the second block for the Jelly Snowflake and also another embroidery stitch along pattern comes out. I've just been saving those, not doing them yet. Take care everyone!

CJ, I made myself go to my mailbox and all junk except for one bill. Mail carrier told me a few months back that 90% of what he delivers is junk mail. I really thought I might get a letter from a friend back in NY but I haven't and haven't heard from her since before Christmas so I'm concerned. I loved that video you sent the link for the other day. I watched a few that came up automatically after that one too. Yes that facebook site does have some nice pictures of her quilting and crocheting but no free patterns. I think she just sells the finished projects. That mermaid is $40 and she sells masks she make for $5 and they aren't the new really nice ones they have patterns for now. Still it is a very nice fb page for looking for ideas in the great pics.

Thanks Ruth, He sure is a little cutie. Kids were really good for me yesterday, and it was fun spending the day with them. We made sock puppets, so I got some crafting in! Ha ha ha.
Service for my SIL is later on-looking forward to getting home afterward and getting back to work on the quilt.
CJ- looks like we are both in for some rain with that tropical system that is heading up. At least that will give us a day of relief from the heat for a day. The facebook site was really cool- I liked the Christmas fabrics she had posted (uncut bundles) and some crocheted hats. So pretty. I think the hats were crocheted..... Good to hear that you have projects to get you through the next few days of excessive heat.
Ruth yes my mail is mostly junk these days also. Can you correspond via email with your friend in NY?? I know some people get way behind in writing- and a year can go by without responding. Hope that your friend is ok but that you can also find out somehow. It stinks to wonder and be concerned.
Guess Iโd better get myself doing something productive. Hi to Sue, Phyl and Rene. Hey Rene, did you get your new machine yet??? Ginny

choney2, congrats "granny" Yes I got it Monday, been playing around with it. I have a lot to figure out lol -I backstitch a lot on the masks for extra reinforcement around the elastic, and I can't figure out how to make this one do more than 3 stitches. I joined a facebook group for the brother machines, and watching youtube videos to figure stuff out. I downloaded some embroidery patterns but haven't ventured into them yet lol.

GOOD MORNING,
CONGRATULATIONS NEW GRANDMA. Glad everything went well.
Cj how do I get the links for the snowflake sew along, to get a printed pattern? I did get the first block printed off.did watch the video for the second one. computer is upstairs and playpen is downstairs.hate to keep asking you every week.
yesterday I went out looking for white on white tone snowflake fabric. went to the local quilt shop.Did not like what they had. nothing near what I wanted.really didn't Want to pay that price for 2 yards.
while there the DUH LIGHT BULB LIGHT CAME ON.it said "you dummy you got the red snowflake fabric at hobby lobby." "why buy this expensive fabric to put with cheaper fabric"?
so after lunch we went to hobby lobby. they had what I wanted .always got it there before. don't know why I though I had to go to the quilt shop.
ho boy did hobby lobby have some beautiful red buffalo fabric with snowflakes on it.di not buy it.course what I bought yesterday was not on sale..I MISS THERE EVERYDAY SALES OF 30% OFF.
While paying for my purchase there is a sign saying because of the coin shortage we ask that you pay with exact change I did not know there was a coin shortage.
some online friends knew.guess when the pandemic started the coin makers stopped making coins.
Do does your brother have a automatic setting for the back stitch? it does turn it off .when you want to back stitch you will have to hold the button till you are done.
you can always go to a brother dealer to lean hot to do some things. beings you did not buy the machine through the dealer you might get charged.gone are the days when you can take in a brand name machine to any dealer and get lessons.dealers like you to buy from them.
MARY JO is really a nice and kind person.she just thinks if I raise my voice I am I am not.we all raise our voice when we get a little bit excited or Frustrated. she thinks I AM HOLLERING.
the day I SAID "SHUT UP AND LET ME SAY SOMETHING" I was frustrated and the words came out. I cant 'take back the words.
I Am going to try and be in my playpen TODAY. LET'S ALL HAVE A GOOD DAY. PHYL.

phyl, I bought it through the brother site, so I probably have options I haven't learned about yet lol. It has 2 backstitch things: one is a button you press, and another is on the touch screen that will do 3 backstitches at the start and end of sewing. I'm sure there's a way to make it do more than 3, I just haven't really seen anyone address it yet! I did find out that this is an upgrade to the SE400 model, and it also has all the same functions as the newer SE625, so I may have to research both of those to find my info.
