We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they've hatched!

Good morning all! Am I crazy that it seems to me that Nunez might have damaged the President's cause by saying there was incidental....whatever they are called.... picked up on him and members of his team? To me, that says that Trump's team was conversing with foreign persons that were under surveillance and therefore got caught in that. That does not look good in my eyes. I know he said it had nothing to do with Russia but it was not illegal because it was picked up on routine surveillance so why run to the WH with it? We already knew about these things and that is how we found out about Flynn. He is no longer impartial (really never was IMO) so this needs to go to an independent investigator.

"I'm President and you're not." ....Trump...( Time interview quote )
Well, that will certainly be a quote of the century, right along with " Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country!" ( President Kennedy)
Good god, what a completely clueless, childlike Fake Prez we have!
I had a moment where I almost felt pity for the die hard followers of Fake Prez. I'm sure they believe Tweery would be their savior. But over the course of many many months, so much shows what kind of immoral person the "The Liar in Chief" is & they are just too narrow minded to even look beyond Fox or Breibart & other conspiracy theorists. They just keep digging in like "their" Prez & no sense wasting time feeling anything for people who care nothing about really making America the best it can be for everyone even if we all have a responsibility to sacrifice to help others less fortunate.

I am still home sick. This morning I saw a bit on the morning news about the health care stalemate and how they were up all night hashing it out. One by one a handful of GOPs from a few of the poorest states came on to blow smoke up our skirts. I never will be able to figure out why the poorest of poor keep helping to put people who do not care about them in office.

Good morning,
Pity for the ones with their heads in the ground listening to Rush, Fox and the rest..... NO.
Pity for the people in the Rustbelt without jobs and with families to support; of course I understand them voting for the person they truly believed would bring back the jobs.
People believe what they NEED to believe. Trump gave them hope. Shame all they got was snake oil.
Trumpie Jr. made a total azzhat of himself attacking the Mayor of London. As it has been said, "the family has money but NO CLASS".
PHEW....... the FBI needs more of our money to keep up with the Trump life style. Nice, very nice!

News And Guts President Trump did an interview with TIME magazine about truth and falsehoods (aka lies). We can't say we learned many new things from the interview, but we did want to share this particular answer from Trump. It ends with a statement you'd expect more from a child, rather than the leader of the free world. Trump: I inherited a mess, I inherited a mess in so many ways. I inherited a mess in the Middle East, and a mess with North Korea, I inherited a mess with jobs, despite the statistics, you know, my statistics are even better, but they are not the real statistics because you have millions of people that canāt get a job, ok. And I inherited a mess on trade. I mean we have many, you can go up and down the ladder. But thatās the story. Hey look, in the mean time, I guess, I canāt be doing so badly, because Iām president, and youāre not. You know. Say hello to everybody OK? time.com/ā¦/donald-trump-time-interview-truth-falseā¦/ā¦

The Mayor of London is Muslim, right? So, of course he acts like an azz if you are #1 Son to Fake Prez! The supidity is probably inherited.
Secret Service asked for more money because it is costing them way more than normal to just secure Trump Tower & Fake First Lady who refuses to move to DC...and the Mar a Lago trips every weekend. UGH!

If any of you have Amazon Prime or Hulu or Netflix or something like that watch the documentary The Brainwashing of My Dad. It is a very interesting look into how conservative media brainwashes its viewers.

UGH! The Secret Service needs more money, NYC needs more money, West Palm Beach needs more money. Pretty soon the budget will be military and Trump family security only and screw everything else

That tweet by Don Jr proves the entire family is completely clueless. Even IF what Don Jr said was not quoted out of context (which it was) it would have been TOTALLY inappropriate to tweet that THE DAY OF the attack.

Robert Reich
Donald Trump is failing because heās a lousy leader. Heās not draining the swamp, as he said he would; heās been adding to the swamp, with his billionaire appointees and sleazy deals to make himself and his family richer. Heās not making America great again, as he promised; heās reducing Americaās moral standing in the world. Heās not uniting all Americans, as he said he would. Heās dividing us more bitterly than ever before. Heās not replacing Obamacare with something āterrific,ā as he also promised. His bill would cause 24 million people to lose health coverage. Heās not bringing back the manufacturing jobs or the America dream, as he said he would. Manufacturing jobs are being automated at a rapid clip. Heās not making America respected around the world, as he promised. Heās not making us safer, as he pledged. Heās failing not only because he doesnāt know how to do any of these things, but also because he doesnāt understand Ronald Reaganās most important lesson about leadership: āThere is no limit to the amount of good you can do if you donāt care who gets the credit.ā Trump is desperate to take all credit, from everyone, for everything. And he won't accept criticism from anyone about anything. He's the worst leader America has ever had. What do you think?
Why Donald Trump is a terrible leader Donald Trump is a terrible leader who has turned his back on the people who elected him as president, writes Rex Nutting. MARKETWATCH.COM

AHCA vote postponed until tomorrow morning now. Hmmmm, guess it's not a good as you say it was if you can't even get enough Republicans on board.

What do I think? I also think he's the worst we've ever had.
During the Viet Nam war I had young friends die over there and others come back with shattered souls, broken bodies and hearts. I lived through the struggle and horrors of the civil rights movement while living and working in an inter racial neighborhood. When I was a little girl we'd have to practice "duck and cover" under our flimsy school desks (they still had ink wells) in case of an enemy attack.
With all that going on I can honestly say I've never, ever felt afraid. Not really. I always knew I'd be safe and secure, okay, and protected. I respected, trusted, and admired the president and believed he'd keep us safe and sound no matter what.
Now I go to bed at night fearful of the lunatic in the WH, his family, his supporters, and his whole administration. I'm stressed and concerned all the time. I see people, fauna and flora, threatened and destroyed by someone sitting in the Oval Office who looks and acts like a maniacal evil clown!
Somebody, I don't remember who, said it's as if the White House is on fire, trump is running around with a book of matches, and all the GOP wants to know is who called the fire department.
