I'm IN.
💞🐵🙈🐵🙉🐵🙊🐵💞
In theory, this will be an at-home day. However, since that's what YESTERDAY was supposed to be (and didn't happen) I do not hold out much hope.
Coffee... ☕☕☕... sanity... <clinging with rapidly-breaking fingernails>...
🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸 Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! 🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸🌼🌻🌼🌸

Hey, Mike, Mike, Mike! Guess what day it is? It's HUMP DAY! Another muggy, summer day in Houston. Walking at 6:30 and it's 79 degrees with the air so thick. I wish I could return to the mall for walking but they won't let us walk until the mall opens at 10 a.m. I'm writing out a grocery list and will head there later this morning. Have a great day, y'all!

Happy Hump Day! Love the little camels MJ I'm in. linda72, that sounds miserable. Good on you though for not letting it keep you from your walking. Mostly sunny and mid-eighties for us today. Just about everything needs watering. Dinner, an easy beef stir fry over riced cauliflower. Enjoy the day!

Good morning.
It will barely hit 80 today which is fine with me. Humidity will be dropping to a nice level today after a little morning mugginess. This summer is ripping by so quickly. One big blur for us. I am back to making a daily list again as things that should be done are getting lost in the fog.
Doing surprisingly well on my food intake after going back to the Green Plan. I got tired of logging every single calorie on MFP. I will see how long I last on Green before I need more accountability but I'll be working it for now.
Have a good day, all. KOKO.

I'm in. Onshore breeze will make walking pleasant today. Gearing up for a HHH weekend. Ugh.

Hi to all and hoping everyone is well.
I decided not to go back to grocery stores again for a while. Just way too stressful and something extra stressful happened today. Future orders (until the pandemic is well enough over) will again be through Whole Foods and the other online grocery we've used.
Something slightly stressful at a gyn appointment, as if they aren't stressful enough. I'll have to go back in a couple weeks or so for a biopsy. Boo!
I've been stress eating.

oh cyndee. i hope everything goes well.
i went to my usual grocery store yesterday but i didn't like the experience. super crowded for some reason (on a tuesday afternoon. so random). i hurried up and got what i wanted but i think i will skip that location for awhile. another supermarket near my ex husband's place is way less crowded and easier to shop at, as is the fancypants supermarket closer to my house.
i will edit to say it wasn't super crowded per se, not pre-pandemic levels of crowded, but considering the other places i've been going to are much emptier, this one was just too full of shoppers for my comfort level. and a group of like 16 year olds hanging out near the deli talking and all three had a mask, but one had it below her nose. ridiculous.

Thanks linda72, DebDoesWW, finreporter, finreporter, that's good that you have found one grocery store that's more pleasant than the others. I told my husband that if we really need something from one, that maybe he go during the "seniors" hours. I'm not yet in that category. He's 13 years older than me. He said he wouldn't mind, if necessary. We all know that keeping 6 feet between people is recommended, but it's often tough in the grocery stores. The one store I went to today even has an announcement about that. Sort of like the announcements you hear at airports telling people to report unattended luggage/bags. What I find happens is that people block products, a lot. I know I shouldn't complain about this, but while I try to know what I want and just quickly grab it and move on, it's like some people stand there forever and contemplate meals for several minutes. Or the meaning of life? It creates what is almost a waiting line. One time I got so frustrated (my bad) that I started to hum the Final Jeopardy theme song. Yes, I need to stay out of stores.

I’m back from this morning's dr appt. Blood work now up to date. All is good. KOKO with tracking, hydrating emphasizing water and moving. Getting used to walking with cane is current focus. Walking across campus and through the hospital halls helped add to my step total. Now time to ice my knee and relax. Have a healthy day.

We also used Fresh Direct. Sometimes I would compare prices and buy some things through Whole Foods and some through Fresh Direct. We also like Fresh Direct because they have some products that are pretty special. For example, it's hard to find fresh sauerkraut that tastes better than from Fresh Direct. My Czech husband considers himself an expert on that Also, they have other products that are just plain not available elsewhere. It's surely because they are based out of NYC, but they deliver throughout NJ, even all the way to Philly. Other goodies there are their wonderful rugelach and crusty ciabatta sandwich rolls. They also often sell "Limited Edition" versions of fresh berries that taste better than the normal ones you get at grocery stores. I had never seen such berries anywhere else.

((( cyndee, ))) ugh! Like the last thing you needed. Hugs and positive vibes! pamthomas46, hope your knee is coming along okay. I know walking with a cane takes a bit of getting used to. Get all the rest you need. finreporter, Tuesdays are Senior Citizen's Day at the grocery stores in my state. They're always packed on Tuesdays.
