Hi Phyl- Sounds like you have been treated with great care and caution. Its good that your doctor will be keeping an eye on you and monitoring your health. Even knowing that there is a remote chance that it is not benign- its still nerve wracking. I will keep you in prayer that you get benign test results and that you can keep your focus on the Lord and not worry. Will the results be back tomorrow (Friday?) or the following Friday? That stinks that the mask you made was not the right size for you. Is there any way to adapt the pattern so it fits you better?
Had some details to work on with the bank. And I have still not gotten my tax refund- so I am making phone calls regarding that. So frustrating. ginny

Hello Crafters Ruth - I'm glad you have the AC now, just the few window units I have make the heat tolerable. Ginny - I hope you are able to get all your banking business done while the branch is still open. My bank is closing a lot of branches too. I hope you can get some information on your tax refund. Phyl - I'm glad to hear your doctors are taking good care of you and I'll keep you in my thoughts for positive results from your tests. We had some storms here yesterday, but the worst of them seemed to go around me, so I was happy about that. It was nice that it got a bit cooler after they went through. I finished the most recent block (#11) of the Silver Linings quilt along this morning and the new blocks for the Jelly Snowflake came out. I think I know what fabrics I want to use for these blocks, but I'm going to think about it for a bit before I start cutting fabrics. This quilt pattern is so interesting because it does look like a large snowflake. I wish I had known that before I picked some of my fabrics, but I guess that's the chance you take with a mystery quilt. I have seen a few of the quilts others are making and a few people are using a dark background and light inner fabric, so their quilt really does look like a snowflake. I may consider making one like that later this year. Take care everyone and have a good day!

Ginny, I do hope you get your IRS business taken care of and also the bank. Our bank closed all of it's lobbies again so if you have banking business you have to call and make an appointment to speak to someone.
Phyl, it looks as though your health care providers are being thorough so that sure is a good things. I will continue praying but things do sound pretty good.
CJ, yes doing a mystery project is a risk. The great thing is that if you have the fabric or can buy some more you can always do a second one with the complete pattern they give when the quilt along is finished.
I got a lot done on my blanket last night and finished the pound of love skein I was working with. Luckily I have more and I'm glad that I'm using it up. I have ideas for using the remainder of it in another blanket that has stripes. That's what I love about these crochet groups on FB. you can see completed blankets and get ideas for combining colors

Odd! I just watched my message jump right off the screen!
It's cooler today, and we may have rain and T storms this afternoon and tonight. So beautiful to watch and so dangerous for the forest.
I've been crafting in a different kind of way. Well, I haven't actually been crafting, but I've used my sense of color to spice up the bathrooms with some new towels. Makes a huge difference.
I took advantage of the cool morning to break down boxes and put them in my car. Hopefully, I'll be able to dump them tomorrow. I have a few no contact thing to do tomorrow. That's a definite maybe!

Just waving hello! I've made some more masks for JD at work, but that's about it this week. I made him a couple with a watercolor brick wall pattern, but the fact that he's a teacher and it's a brick wall was lost on him lol (we don't need no education!)

CJ- hurray for cooler weather....even if its only supposed to last a day or so. Good point about the mystery quilt- having at least an idea where it was going would surely impact fabric selection. I am sure yours will look so pretty- but how nice to think about how you could make another one and use completely different fabrics. Thanks for the falling leaves quilt....so pretty and i do love fall colors.
Rene- masks count!!! They are still good practice using your new machine.
Sue- Ruth is so right- redecorating is crafting!! bet those new towels in the bathroom look so pretty.
Ruth- so glad that your FB group is providing good inspiration for color combinations for you and that the afghan is progressing nicely.
I emailed Meg today....lets see if I hear anything. Hope she is ok.
Dd stopped by with the grandkids so I have had no time to work on the quilt. Got done what I wanted with the bank. The IRS??? Ha ha ha. Everyone acknowledges that my tax return was submitted on MARCH 4- but no idea why my simple return is taking so long. Very frustrating.
Have a good night all Ginny

Ginny, I'm sorry to hear that you got nowhere with finding out about your tax return...kinda like me trying to find out about my stimulus check which I still have not received. Good news is that supposedly if you don't receive one you can take the amount you were supposed to receive as a credit on next years tax return...
CJ, I've been meaning to say that I know you're a follower of everything royal. I was wondering if you knew there is a tv channel devoted to the royal family. I have no idea what channel number it is but they say it's called True Royalty.

And now it sounds as though another round of stimulus checkS will be given out....wonder how all of this will be handled when income tax time rolls around. I also have wondered What will ever happen to my refund.. Gee...what if it wraps around and a 2019 refund is never provided...would it be added to a possible 2020 refund? Ha ha ha. Just an interesting thought.
Had a difficult time falling asleep last night. I am a bit tired of this hot weather and humidity. Guess its all a part of summer. G

GOOD MORNING, The doctor called yesterday. he said "good news and bad news."the one nodule is benign.the other biopsy is being sent to California for more testing. he called it indeterminate.
also another name is Bethesda category 3 which means there is more concern.hoping I am in the 95% benign category.
not then will probably be headed for surgery.I WILL DEAL WITH IT. won't like it will have days of meltdowns.that's just the way life is.
this am sometime Delona and I will meet in hardee's parking lot.she will call. for now she is at her stamping thrift sale looking for bargins..we are planning on having rolls. she takes to much time at the sale she will go to her laser hair treatment appointment.then she will get cinnamon bagels at panera and we will meet knowing DELONA she will do more talking.we miss our bumin.not as much fun anymore with all the store closings.
talked to Nita last night boy she can have more adventures at home then anybody I know.she made friends with a gal in HAWAII. she had a brother sewing embroidery thing she needed. Nita said you pay shipping. did not charge her her anything. the shipping by fedex was 175 bucks. the lady got it and it did not work. her dh cleaned the contacts and some other stuff off and it works.now the lady wants the machine. Nita is not sure of that.
the lady sent them a big box from HAWAII. coffee, they don't drink coffee ,macadamia nuts.tea towels, just alot of other stuff.NITA DID NOT WANT FABRIC. IS SHE NUTS???
SO her dd bd is Monday.so Kris will get the coffee.boy will that be a surprise. NITA and Kay (sister)could not figure out what to get Kris for her bd. Kay came up with 60 fat quarters.so NITA went to a out of town quilt shop and a shop here.they had 44 fat quarters. well KAY said I bet there are fat quarters down stairs. so they finished up for 60.
I THINK THIS IS A GREAT IDEA. COURSE FRIENDS WOULD HAVE TO GO TOGETHER .phyl

Ginny, I think that when they first mentioned those checks they said that they would not be counted as income but of course things can change. I guess since I didn't get the first one I won't get the second either.I hope your income tax refund shows up soon. They did say that they would be delayed. Phyl, that's great that she got a package from a friend in Hawaii. They say that Kona coffee is excellent. I had some once that my sister sent from Hawaii and don't remember it being that great but maybe I don't have a good palate It's nice that she will be able to give that to her daughter as a birthday present as it sounds like the daughter is a coffee fan Well I'm back to Yoda's. I finished the coffee cozy. Coffee cozy sounds like it would be easy and fast but this one had parts so it took longer and there were ends to weave in. So now I'm going to work on putting the ornament together. I have all the parts done. Even though I don't like putting on parts I'm going to do several more amigurumis and will get more practice in the process. I have a question. Are the post offices open to take packages? I can't print out labels myself so have to take them to the PO to be weighedand was wondering if they're doing that. I guess they would have to but I'm not sure. I guess I could call.

Ok, between bouts of kitchen cleaning I finished the two Yodas. I think I need bigger safety eyes for the stuffed one so I may put off making that one until I can get some larger ones. I'll work on the things for the closest birthday which is about a month from now.

Phyl- well its not all bad news.....so lets continue to trust and pray that the second level of testing shows nothing. Do you know how long that is supposed to be before results are in? And yes, I agree with Ruth and Kay- 60 fat quarters is a GREAT idea for a quilter!! Gee what a lot of fun could be had with that. It would keep our CJ busy for about 6 months at the rate she is going. Ha ha ha
Ruth, yes the PO is taking packages- its pretty much business as usual for them. Learned something new from you - I had no idea what an amigurumis was- had to look that one up. But it all sounds very cool and I give you credit for making those little stuffed characters. Did you get your kitchen all straightened out?
Well I am cat sitting for a week and DD’s kitten and my male cat (who only comes in at night) don’t get along. the kitten will have to stay in the family room (plenty of space and food/water/litter pan) during the night. I don’t need to listen to cat fights.
going to head out on the deck and see if I can see the comet. Only a few nights left to see it- but it seems to be a clear night and its supposed to be a bit higher in the sky. Ginny

Had absolutely no luck getting seeing the comet (think that window of time is rapidly closing) but it was a nice evening to look at stars anyway.
Today my crafting might be working on redecorating the laundry room. I already took down most of the wallpaper border I put up years ago- will finish that and then patch the sheet rock....which will be a new adventure for me.
