So, do we go from ObamaCare to TrumpCare or to No One Cares? Gosh, what an utter mess Fake Prez , Paul Ryan & Rep have made of health care! So, the Faker says he is tired of negotiating healthcare. What happens when he gets tired of negotiating with North Korea? Push the button? Just shameful that we have to put up with him til somebody finds the evidence to kick him to the curb, or better yet, " Lock him up!"

Totally agree lka5. If I was one of the Representatives voting no I would go on every news channel that would take me and say, "The President's threats mean nothing to me. I work for my constituents and not the President because Congress is an EQUAL branch of government. We are going to take our time and get it right and after it passes the House and the Senate it will be YOUR fault if you refuse to sign it into law." However, I kinda feel like the Republicans will cave to the pressure and pass it. We will probably just have to hope that it will die in the Senate.

White House has some bad advice for women seeking maternity care 03/24/17 10:00 AM—UPDATED 03/24/17 10:15 AM By Steve Benen In a last-ditch effort to make far-right lawmakers happy, the White House and Republican leaders have agreed to change their health care bill, scrapping the Essential Health Benefits provision of existing federal law. Team Trump, as of this morning, has an amazing new defense for the shift.
As we discussed this morning, under the Affordable Care Act, private insurers are required to include a series of health care benefits in every plan. These protections guarantee, for example, that American women will have maternity care if they need it.
Under the Republican plan, that guarantee will disappear entirely. How does Team Trump defend such a change? Mick Mulvaney, Trump’s extremist budget director, made his pitch to CBS News this morning. Co-host Alex Wagner asked Mulvaney about people who do not live in a state that requires maternity coverage.
“Then you can figure out a way to change the state that you live in,” Mulvaney replied.
Wagner asked if Mulvaney meant that people should move. “No, they can try to change their own state legislatures and their state laws,” he responded. “Why do we look to the federal government to try and fix our local problems?” Oh, I see. As far as the White House is concerned, American women shouldn’t have the guarantee of maternity care; American women in blue states should have the guarantee of maternity care.
Access to prescription medication, maternity care, pediatric care, preventive care, and substance-abuse treatments are, according to Trump’s OMB chief, “local problems,” not issues worthy of national concern.
If you live in a state in which lawmakers don’t like interfering with private insurance companies, you can (a) move; (b) find time to start lobbying state policymakers in the hopes of persuading them; or (c) go without treatments.
This, according to a leading voice on Team Trump, is the White House’s preferred model.
The Republican plan is already woefully unpopular, but given new GOP efforts to make the bill even more right-wing, there’s no reason to believe its public support can’t deteriorate further.

The Koch Bros are bribing the GOP, pledging millions to Repugs who vote no on the health care bill today. www.cnn.com/2017/03/22/politics/kochs-reserve-fund-health-care/Your health and well being and that of your families is being determined by the Koch Bros on this day. I don't want this health care bill, but I mean come on! Our lives are being puppeteered by these two deplorables?

They should vote no because this is NOT a better replacement, not because they are being bribed to vote no. Same way that they should not vote yes simply because Trump is threatening them.

Well now! .....I'm actually am not surprised TrumpCare died, but feeling rather sad that no one on the Republican side has any interest in fixing some of the problems of ObamaCare to help Americans afford decent healthcare for all. I hope the Dem's step up & offer to work with the Rep & Prez to fix some of these problems & if they, the Rep & Prez refuse, it's then on them that they don't care & never really did. I'm sure the finger pointing is already starting & many fingers pointed at Dem's, but at least the Dem's tried & actually passed a healthcare bill that has a lot of good in it, but does need tweaking. Rep had 7 years & 60 repeal bills to come up with a better bill & couldn't.
Trump is a con man & a loser & this is only the start of showing his supporters that this is really who he truly is. His real problems are yet to come as the Russian connection closes in .

Ha! Lying again..Fake Prez spins Trumpcare as dying because the Dem's wouldn't vote for TrumpCare and the vote was close....NOT, It was not going to be close because his own Rep party had too many that weren't going to vote it. He's blaming Pelosi & Schumer...well, typical of Fake Prez to deflect blame. He would rather let Obama Care explode & let Americans suffer rather than put time & effort to fixing it. He's such an idiot!

Dan Rather · Stunning. A complete defeat that I don't think anyone would have predicted in the manner that took place. Donald Trump promised to repeal and replace Obamacare on day one of his presidency. He promised a health care nirvana of lower premiums, choice and better care. The GOP have been demonizing the Affordable Care Act for 7 years and yet here we are. The Affordable Care Act remains the law of the land. Who knew healthcare was hard? The morass of blame is only beginning. As he just told New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, this is "the Democrats fault." We'll see how that plays with the public and with history. Mr. Trump is wounded and he will try to do his usual two step of taking credit for everything and blame for nothing. It is a dance that I think was already old for a majority of Americans. And if recent polls are to be believed even some of his voters are getting weary. And let's remember we are just over two months into his presidency. I have never seen such a staggering loss so early in a term. We have long left charted waters with this administration. And our ship of state bobs amidst ominous waves. The damage isn't limited to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Many Democrats never understood Paul Ryan's golden boy wonk status. But that aura has also been deeply and perhaps irrevocably tarnished by this health care failure. And the difficulty was expected to be in the Senate. Meanwhile, the Russian shadow continues to darken.

He's such an idiot! Um, last time I checked we have a REPUBLICAN congress and they ALL want to repeal and replace the ACA so the reason it failed is because it was a bad bill - not because of the democrats. The ACA needs fixing. I am in AZ and it is unaffordable here. I got out last year because we now have employer coverage but last year we paid $603 / mo for two of us and our deductible was $6,700 PER PERSON. And it was supposed to go up this year if we had to have it - probably like $800 at best. The ACA needs fixing and it pisses me off that Trump is saying he is just going to let it fail. You are the President and YOUR PARTY controls congress. Put together something that works and stop acting like a petulant child

Guess The Art of the Deal needs to be renamed Can't Even Make a Deal When My Party Is In Control of the Whole Government. LOL!!!
Of course Obamacare needs many adjustments! Everyone always knew that it would need to be adjusted. It most definitely never needed to be replaced. Now is the time that we need some bipartisanship to make adjustments to an already good law that will actually be for the benefit of the country. Will we see that happen? Not holding my breath. Republicans have had seven years to come up with a workable plan, and clearly they're not capable. But then, maybe they were like Tweety and didn't realize that healthcare was complicated. John Boehner was right a few weeks ago when he predicted they would never be able to pass anything of their own because they can't agree on anything within their own party.
Is it true that Tweety is p*ssed that Jared was off skiing when Trumpcare went down in flames?
DH and I didn't go to Texas--long story, but we did decide to get away for a little while anyway. We drove up into KY, meandered around doing some antique/junk shopping (didn't buy a thing), went to Abe Lincoln's birthplace, saw some lovely murals, and just generally had a relaxing two days and one night. Just got back home.

And trying to blame the Democrats when you control both houses of Congress plus the White House is just so ludicrous it's almost beyond funny. How many idiots do you think are out there who are so stupid he can actually sell them that for an excuse? I mean really, if I read this in a novel I would say it was beyond the realms of belief. And he wants to actually try to tell the world this. If I was a Republican I would be insulted that he so clearly thinks they are all morons.

“We had no Democratic support,” Trump said from the Oval Office. “They weren’t going to give us a single vote.”Well Bozo you wouldn't have needed them if you could have worked your famous "deal maker magic" and gotten your own party behind you. Really, this just cracks me up!
